    Awesome quality videos and pictures. The UI can be a bit sluggish and even unresponsive at times, and the screen may become frozen and pixelated, but not too often.

    I bought 2 of them and unfortunately one kept freezing. I ended up returning them. Giving 3 stars for the one that did work but even that froze a couple times.

    Periodically, I have to remove the battery because it will freeze or do something weird. Also the battery life is horrible, so buy at least 2 more batteries and a portable charger. End of the day, the Go pro takes good pics and video, search for cuzzinturck on Social media and Google to see the pictures and video, or maybe follow this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skedsNnCSHk

    I purchased this camera specifically to take pictures in our vacations. The first thing that I noticed was that the battery drains too fast. Second thing was the screen freezing to the point where I had to open the battery compartment, remove the battery for at least 15 seconds and put it back. Otherwise it would not work at all. During that time, the cammera would get very hot around the battery area. Third was the lack of instructions for the settings, use, etc. I returned it right away. I have to admit that it has a PERFECT resolution! If GoPro fix this issues I would definitely buy it again.

    This was my 3rd gopro had 5,6,&7 All had heating and freezing issues. # 5&7 but had bad battery cover seals. Great video and pictures. But they need to fix common issues.

    Cant believe no one tell the true about this camera. Overheats after 10 minutes of recording, and then freeze up. GoPro blames everything but the camera. about ti return this product for second time.

    Only 4 stars due to the fact my GoPro 7 black randomly freezes and gets super hot within 10-15 mins of video recording (doesn't matter if it's in 1080P or 4K) at other times it can go a good 35 mins being super hot yet functional. It's pretty annoying because it's a hassle to use this thing when I need it quickly. In other words, it's unreliable. When it's frozen/unresponsive I have to pull the battery out to reset it. Other thing that is a pain with this thing is the short battery life. I have found turning off the WiFi connectivity does keep the heat down but I really like using my iPhone as a view finder. As far as the actual hyper smooth video it shoots? Pure awesomeness. Don't even need a gimbal with this thing. 1080P 60FPS is great, along with 2.7k and 4K video is amazing. I do have this paired up with the GoPro USB-C to 3.5mm Mic Adapter tied into a Rode microphone and that works great too, but I still think it's a joke I need a box attached to my GoPro that is 1/3 the size of the camera it's self just for Mic input. I will stay hopeful GoPro with address the overheating issues with future updates, and will recommend to friends/co-workers to get this GoPro but warning them of the overheating/freeze issues.

    I've been using the hero 7 black for a few weeks now and for the most part this thing is awesome. The video quality, audio quality, stabilization and navigation are all the best I've ever used in the GoPro line. The only issue I've run into is the occasional freezing up which can get a little annoying. It seems to be a software issue and I've to shut it down and restart it to get things going again. I'm hoping this will be addressed in a future software update.

    This model GoPro rocks for snowmobiling! The quality of the footage is off the charts, the variety of modes is really cool. Extremely happy with the product and price at Best Buy. Be sure to use the 64gb SD card for best quality. If I used the 128gb SD card , the video would freeze and the only option was to utilize the 1080 mode but you would lose the stability in the footage.

    Very cool camera and awesome features. I like the hyperlapse mode and stabilizers make it feel like you're living in the videos. Might be just mine but i've been having issues with it freezing, glitchy display and refusing to turn off. i've needed to take the battery out several times for it to reset. I just purchased it so maybe I just need to get to know it better.

    This camera didn't work out of the box. It doesn't allow me to take any photos or videos, it just freezes up. I tried all the troubleshooting and still didn't work. I then tried to return to Best Buy and they told me they could not exchange it for a working one. Will never buy from BestBuy again.

    The picture quality is a little better than the 6 due to not having that weird purple hue that the 6 would have but as for mine I have been having issues with the 7 freezing up like the 6 to where I have to remove the battery. I'm am also having battery issues. When fully charged the battery will drop to 1% once I turn the camera off and on again. I'm not sure what is going on but I do hope that this is just a software issue than can be resolved soon. $400 to have issues like that is unacceptable, but I'm patient being that the device is new and I'm giving GoPro some time to fix this.

    This is my first GoPro, I was skeptical about purchasing at first but I'm glad I did! The video quality is fantastic! The sound is not great and at times is muffled or cut out (maybe something on my end? @@@@@@@ very easy and straightforward to use. I have encountered issues with it freezing at times but a quick reset fixes it. Battery life is pretty short but spare batteries are inexpensive so it's a fair trade off for the quality video it gives. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase.

    I purchased my Hero 7 Black on launch day along with the 64gb GoPro recommended SD card. Nothing but problems, could not update thru the app for starters. I had to install firmware 1.51 manually. It freezes and locks up all the time. I called the support number and really did not get good help. They told me to reset and reload the firmware and I did that multiple times. I told myself if this camera locks up one more time it's going back to BestBuy while is was currently locked up so I could show them my headaches with this camera. I returned it, I don't think it was ready for prime time!!!!

    I got the hero7black limited edition with high expectation... the design is ok, no big change from hero6. I can do more with my phone that with this little toy. Camera has no zoom. Noise control is null. Livestream??? Nahhhh I connected the camera to a very nice hotspot and tried livestreaming... ups. . reconnecting... ups... reconecting, it was a headache. It kept disconnecting every minute and the quality of the video when livestreaming was horrible... the video kept freezing and after 30 min...pop...battery died...neither I captured or lived the moment so I am returning this and may get a future model of this camera as it has a great concept but needs to improve a lot in order to serve its purpose.

    This was a very disappointing purchase. I thought with 2.7K and 4K I'd have seen great improvement to video quality from past gopros. That's not the case. Forget 1080p. Looks quite bad. If you want this for slo mo forget it as 240 is only on 1080 or less and it's really not good. If you want it for indoors or night don't bother. It's not good in low light which has always been an issue with GoPro and it's amazing they haven't figured this out yet. As for hyperlapse it's good but only on 4K. Also frustrating you can't shoot linear with more frame rates and resolutions. . Definitely check their site for what can be done in different frame rates and resolutions because it's limiting. Honestly I think anything on 1080p is just bad, your phone probably has as good or better quality at 1080p. Also is quite buggy with freezes and crashes. Battery life is horrible. And the Go Pro app is a huge hassle to connect and when shooting video it has no preview...just goes black. So you cannot see what it's capturing. I had been really excited about this but now see there are other options to this and I wish I'd gone with one of those.
