    This was a very disappointing purchase. I thought with 2.7K and 4K I would have seen great improvement to video quality from past gopros. That's not the case. Forget 1080p. Looks quite bad. If you want this for slo mo forget it as 240 is only on 1080 or less and it's really not good. If you want it for indoors or night don't bother. It's not good in low light which has always been an issue with GoPro and it's amazing they haven't figured this out yet. As for hyperlapse it is good but only on 4K. Also frustrating you can't shoot linear with more frame rates and resolutions.. Definitely check their site for what can be done in different frame rates and resolutions because it's limiting. Honestly I think anything on 1080p is just bad, your phone probably has as good or better quality at 1080p. Also is quite buggy with freezes and crashes. Battery life is horrible. And the Go Pro app is a huge hassle to connect and when shooting video it has no preview...just goes black. So you cannot see what it is capturing. I had been really excited about this but now see there are other options to this and I wish I'd gone with one of those.

    Bad Camera, bad customer support, bad everything

    My gopro has been used a total of 6 times. All to record in the open and exposed to very little water. Its very slow, buggy and confusing. The camera refuses to update and even after getting in touch with gopro themselves they have not helped me at all. I’ve owned several gopros (hero 3+, hero 4 session 2 hero 6 blacks, and one hero 6. And now they pull this. I have always been frustrated with them. They're all show and no go. Battery life is dismal, camera quality is OK for the price, they have an insane amount of software bugs, and the platforms like “quik” and the gopro app itself are pathetic. You cannot get footage straight to your laptop instead they want you to pay for a “gopro cloud” which is total B.S. The reason I buy these is because I need a waterproof camera that lasts a long time for my various projects. You can tell by the 6 I’ve owned that they are just awful. I loved the company and the product but your better off with a much simpler and less expensive competitor. I’ve lost more footage and wasted more time to these cameras than you could imagine. Don't buy them, don’t get caught up in the hype it’s all just a sellout now. Unless you need it for one time use.

    Bought this to live-stream kids ballgames, as it is advertised as first version being able to stream directly from camera. What they DONT specify is that it is ONLY to FB or YouTube (if u have 1,000 followers). It uses up hotspot data in no time, IF u can get it to connect when u want. (I have 10gb, and never went over when I streamed from iPhone; AT&T doesn’t allow to purchase more—even with unlimited everything else). When able to get connected, it constantly loses connection. I also don’t understand why u can’t use wi-fi to stream if a network is available. Picture quality is great, and able to capture whole field (unlike iPhone). Perhaps the GoPro was not intended for what I bought it for...Other than that, I wasted ALOT of money for camera and the accessories. Also, from the research I have done to fix my issues, it seems the older GoPro would have been a much better buy, at least for my needs.

    Not useable in 4K with stabilization activated

    I purchased two units new 2 weeks ago from BestBuy and both have problems when recording in 4k. At first, the cameras would freeze with a solid red light. I have been on the GoPro forums sharing information with MANY users that have the same problem. In 1080, the cameras both work fine. When you go to 4K, neither camera has been reliable. Shutting down randomly during recording (5 minutes to just over an hour). GoPro suggest doing the MANUAL firmware update which I did. Since the manual update the cameras have not had the solid red light freezing problem, but they still randomly shut down while recording in 4k. I am using the GoPro approved SanDisk Extreme cards. The cameras have problems and GoPro needs to address it.

    High expectation...big dissapointment

    I got the hero7black limited edition with high expectation... the design is ok, no big change from hero6. I can do more with my phone that with this little toy. Camera has no zoom. Noise control is null. Livestream??? Nahhhh I connected the camera to a very nice hotspot and tried livestreaming... ups.. reconnecting... ups... reconecting, it was a headache. It kept disconnecting every minute and the quality of the video when livestreaming was horrible... the video kept freezing and after 30 min...pop...battery died...neither I captured or lived the moment so I am returning this and may get a future model of this camera as it has a great concept but needs to improve a lot in order to serve its purpose.

    I love my Hero 5 and I was very excited to upgrade to the Hero 7! The Hero 7 is a huuuge upgrade as far as stability control and picture quality! My issues were with the touch screen, it wouldn’t respond 1/2 the time... yes HALF! The new UI (user interface) also takes a lot longer to navigate through compared to the previous generation gopros. Hopefully it can be fixed with a software update... soon!

    Save your money. Command feature has never once worked, most of the buttons need more than average force to work & honestly it was an extreme waste of money. Technology isn’t anywhere close to where it claims to be. Better off getting a waterproof case for your phone haha

    I’m not impressed with the GoPro... so far the battery life sucks! It lasts 45-50min ?! and it over heats when left recording for 1hr ? And it stops working until it cools down? Prices for its products is expensive as well.

    With the amount of money spent on this little thing, you would think a battery could hold a charge but it doesn’t. Battery charged for hours at 100% but it loses charge when wanting to use it the next day. Completely dead.

    This was my 3rd gopro had 5,6,&7 All had heating and freezing issues. # 5&7 but had bad battery cover seals. Great video and pictures. But they need to fix common issues.

    battery takes to long to fully charge videos in environment with poor light are bad live streaming is not that easy . price i would say is expensive
