    WOW They Finally Did IT!!!

Wow the GoPro team finally built a product that is good enough to replace my aging GoPro Hero 5 Black edition and this camera has great stabilization, and surprisingly also has amazing sound quality even on a windy day in Florida. In this link below, we went to Universal Studios Orlando and I pretended to be a kid that mom and dad went to Best Buy and the salesperson convinced them to buy two extra batteries and a handle. I only used the GoPro APP to edit the video as well. https://youtu.be/_bSuPbK1344

Love this little camera for outdoors adventures and as a web camera for teleconferencing! It is amazingly waterproof and makes superb videos from my bike. There are minor glitches sometimes like overheating and draining the battery in 30 minutes; or not turing on unless you take the battery out and put it back in. I would still highly recommend it since it is so compact and rugged to carry in a pocket and shoot everything around!

The GoPro Hero8 offers some terrific improvements but also makes a couple of inexplicably awful design choices in their latest camera. First the good, along with improved resolution and frame rates, the 8 offers the next generation of image stabilization which greatly enhances the action in your action video. Additionally, the latest iteration has added an additional microphone which greatly improves sound quality when out and on the go. Now for the bad/questionable: Beginning with the bargain Hero7 White, GoPro removed the replaceable front lens cover. Now a bad scratch or crack costs you your camera. The battery life of the new high discharge batteries is weak. Access to the memory card is frustrating. They've definitely left room for improvement in next year's Hero9. The mounting feet are now foldable, which is great, but rubbery, which is not. In conclusion, the 8 is a good camera, but if you have a Hero7 Black, I'd stick with that until we see what the 9 has to offer.

I absolutly love it so far! Great picture quality, stabilization feature is amazing. I agree the microphone could be better but that is kind of the nature of the beast (keeping it small). I bought the 7 silver first but returned it when I realized it did not have a changable battery. That said, this one has changeable batteries, but they die fast. I have been filming in wide and the highest resolution, may be better if I changed the settings. Yhere are lots of different settings that sometimes are confusing. There are several guides on youtube that tells how to adjust it, so just a learning curve if you havr not had one before, like me. I would highly recomend it to anyone looking to do some action filming.

I know that phone cameras have been getting better and more reliable with the years. I have been using it to take videos of my kids through out outings, their activities, school concerts etc. The Gopro 8 changed my video habits. Coupled with a lightweight stick and the (too expensive, buggy but ultimately useful) remote, it quickly became my go to camera for everything. It helps that the app makes a small summary video (based on the videos of the day) that I can share with friends and family. Battery life is not great and low light performance is sub par but it weighs almost nothing, it is waterproof and it can survive almost anything.

Could not be happier with the Hero8. I bought this to make fun short videos of my kids as they grow up. The setup is simple, and easy to use. The video quality is amazing! I have two complaints. The battery life isn’t what i expected. Not great, not horrible. And the editing software from GoPro is tricky to figure out. Other than those two issues, i love this camera!

I haven't used the camera much yet, but obviously an awesome upgrade from my Hero 4. Everything is easy to use, stabilizing feature is awesome, and video quality is second to none. I have put screen/lens protectors on mine and the touch screen works just as well with the protector on it. Really looking forward to getting this baby out on the water and putting it to good use. I would definitely recommend this camera to anyone. Buy the separate battery charger and extra battery. Very convenient not having to charge the battery within the camera

On previous snorkeling trips, I have used my phone in a housing. I recently upgraded my phone and decided to give a GoPro a shot instead ... Game Changer! I purchased a floating waterproof stick to mount it and used it extensively both in and out of the water. I used a housing for the longer reef snorkels in order to use a filter for color correction, but otherwise it works great with no housing and is water tight. Highly recommend!

This camera is not advanced in a way that a beginner cannot use it. However, the image quality and ease of use make it a perfect tool for run and gun video and pictures. This allowing you to not worry about your phone and dealing with using its battery. For me it was a bonus that it does live streaming right from the camera. The only down side is you must use your phone to start the live stream and there is not a way to save your custom stream settings if you are using something other than YouTube or Facebook.

This is my first GoPro. I liked the size and quality of this camera. It has a lot of functionality for capturing stunning videos. I just wish the battery life was good. You will need more than one battery to carry with you all the time. Also, longer 4k recording makes the camera very hot. Otherwise, I really like this camera for the quality of the videos.

One of my best purchases ever. First go pro I bought. I am an Apple user precisely for its elegance of design and user friendliness. This is just as intuitive and easy to get up and running. Had so much fun recording, playing with attachments and camera angles, editing videos and relaying back good times. Amazing quality. Battery dies quickly so purchase multiple (at least 3 on deck...)

This product is beyond magnificent. The Heros 3 levels of stabilization; on, high, and boost allows you to choose the best alternative for the given situation. It gives you a charming crispie time lapse video at night in 4k and 2.7k as well. I recommend this product to all people that love cameras, you will adore the Hero8 black action camera and its waterproof as well.

I wanted to up my YouTube videos to the next level and knew I needed something other than my phone camera which has served me very well. I was used to the convenience of the phone camera, the ease of it, and really did not want to buy something that did not have the features of the phone (i.e. a display of what I was filming.) I have been very pleased with this unit out of the box, the only real downside is that battery life is not long, but having a second battery is helpful, and knowing that I can plug the USB cord into the camera and an alternative power source has been helpful. I started out with an extra Hero8 battery and a handheld for this unit. Then went on to buy protective lens covers, thin plastic sheets that apply to the glass surfaces, a body case, cause I do get rough with things, and also an aftermarket battery door with the USB opening, not available through GoPro. I did add the USB cable for an external microphone, so far that has not worked with the radio lavalier unit I have, but it may be just the patch cord. All those I knew I needed, and got help from watching some online videos about the unit on YouTube. After owning the Hero8 for about a month, I am very pleased with the picture quality, and the voice-activation mode, the size, and even the quality of sound directly from the onboard mic. which is better than the phone microphone.

Bought this for my son to use while fishing. He is 12. Said it was easy to set up and easy to use. The footage was great. Water wasn't an issue. Purchased the battery charger pack with additional battery because the battery is only good for about 2 hours of continuous filming (sometimes it takes hours to reel a fish in). Worked great with switching off.

This is my first GoPro and I done a much of reviews. It works great, but I would like to have seen some of the features of the 7. Such as the ability to charge the battery with the door still on and the lens glass is not replaceable any more. It take great videos and pictures, just wish they had kept a few other good items. Looking forward to using it a lot more and learning more things it can do.

Despite its realease time, this is one of the best go pros of all time. Bought it on 2021 and been recording off road videos, driving videos or day to day videos easily. I would recommend this camera for non professionals, but for people who just want to have fun
