Camera functions well in all conditions however battery life is terrible.Would not recommend unless a longer battery source is available.

The GoPro Hero 8 Black is a great camera! High quality 4K video and waterproof. Small and lightweight it's easy to take anywhere. I recommend this camera.

Finally gave in to a GoPro. Does very well and would recommend and purchase again. I use the app to operate the cam and find it very intuitive.

I was hesitant to purchase the GoPro 8 due to the reviews I read leading up to my purchase. I’m upgrading from a GoPro 4 that I haven’t used in years. The difference in performance is quite impressive as it should be but that stabilization really blew my mind. I shot footage during a recent 4-wheeling trip And was shocked at the quality of video, it appeared as I had it mounted to a gimbal. The battery life is still disappointing and you would think after all these years, GoPro would have figured that part out. Other than the battery, I have zero complaints so far!

Even though I enjoy being able to capture different travels, I actually use this most as a dashcam. There are hundreds of different mounts to explore to use this as a dash cam. The few I have obtained is the bean bag like weight that can sit on your dash, the bracket that puts it right under the rear view mirror, and the suction cup window mount. Images taken while driving are very sharp, clear, colorful and capture a wide angle. The 4k video captured can easily be downloaded on to a computer for playback or if you opt to pay for GoPros cloud you can keep them there. Absolutely love the ease of use, versatality and quality of video this little guy gives me.

The video on this is stunning! Photos are just as spectacular. I purchased the plastic case for use while on an ATV. I wouldn’t recommend this as it t got way too hot and dies within minutes. It’s super durable as is and the case wasn’t needed at all! I had such a great time making videos of our trip with the go pro app which is super user friendly. I played the videos on our 55” 4K TV and the quality is stunning. I think the battery dies a littler faster than I like so have a spare or two for long trips. Definitely recommended.

Made vacation really cool with this pocket sized camera. Waterproof made it really easy when choosing to go in ocean. Quality of picture in 4K is amazing.

Okay, I love this camera. Th only thing I don't like is that the battery drains quicker than my 401K when the stocks go downhill. If you are recording in 4K, you need to buy at least two more extra batteries to run this camera. It doesn't last that long. I love the night lapse. I tried it behind my backyard and I can see the stars. Amazing! I don't need to waste $2K to buy a DSLR camera for my next trip to see the northern lights or something like that. It works amazing and its so fun to take everywhere! Its great if you're a vlogger, and you can mount it anywhere.

Thoroughly impressed with the new 8 as the stabilization is amazing for a camera this small. The color correction enabled the camera to autocorrect at depth since color is lost at deeper depths. Lights are still advised but it did a great job. Used at 110ft (inside the super dive housing) to film Sand Tiger sharks and Manta Rays in the Graveyard of the Atlantic. First two dives were on Caribsea and Aeolus wrecks.

Camera videos are very clear and the stability is great. Cons: the camera gets very hot. And I can't zoom in on my subject.

I had a Hero 5 Black for years. I decided to upgrade to the 8. The camera quality is better. Some of the features are better. However, the battery door pops off easily, my wrap around external battery is not compatible because the port is sideways and the 8 burns through battery life much faster than my old camera. I need three internal batteries to get through one high school baseball game- even when I stop the camera at each half inning, pitching change, and mound visit. Constantly having to check and replace the batteries is frustrating.

This camera is great. I went in looking for an old school camcorder for my mom. My sister is having a baby in a few months and we wanted to capture the pregnancy and beyond . It’s been good so far, easy to use it’s lightweight. I got a few accessories that make it easy to maneuver. I’d recommend to a friend. I’m giving it 4 stars because I don’t like the fish eye style of recording and the fact that there is no built in flash. Beyond that, sound , quality, appearance are all 5 star

Overall a nice camera for sports or riding. Takes really good video and pretty easy to use. But the battery life is not great at all.

Excellent camera great for daily use. Its compact and easy to handle. One of the greatest purchase so far.
