Easy to use and good picture quality. I got it to record softball games and this camera serves my purpose.

It's a good product......just not for me. I found it a little hard to get it to work right. I am sure if I took my time then I wouldn't have had a problem. But for the high price point I will stick with my cell. There are holders for cells to record like a GoPro. I will admit the GoPro is built rugged. Hard to damge this tiny beast.

I bought this camera to use on our trip to Antigua. Unfortunately the camera did not perform well at all. After 5 or 10 minutes of use the camera would overheat , change shooting modes all on it's own and finally the controls froze. I would have to press the power on/off button in until the unit shut down. After about 10 minutes the camera would have cooled down enough to turn back on. Not only did the camera overheat while in use, it would also overheat while being charged. I would not recommend this camera at all.

The Hero 8 is great in the beginning, until it wouldn’t turn on the day I needed it! I took it to vacation with us to take some shots while snorkeling, but the unit wouldn’t turn on even with multiple reset attempts. I’ll return/exchange it when I get home!

wont recommended to anyone after one used wont charge and turn on and overheating

Fell apart before I even used it. First time opening it, and the hinges broke off. Now I am afraid to use it at all. Also, for all that money - they do not give you an SD memory card.

Got this camera for upcoming travel as it was on deep discount. Unfortunately my unit was defective and wouldn't turn on or charge threw the camera. Called GoPro customer service and let's say I'm happy camper they went above and beyond.

I bought this product a day before my trip to PR so I can get some good diving footage like I’ve done in the past but it would not charge at all my other GoPros worked fine in the past but this one I bought would not go on at all or charge and now BestBuy won’t replace the battery or check it out with out me having to pay for it after I got back I spent 300+ on this paper weight

I bought the camera to use on my vacation, and when I tried to turn it on for the first time it didn't work, I followed the steps indicated on the GoPro website and it didn't work either.

It became useless after being left in the car for just one day. Couldn’t get any help with the product as well.

Love this little guy. Really helps with video production on my youtube channel. I really recommend this GoPro then the 9 or 10 they are all basically the same product and do the same things.

Love how durable this little guy is. Accidentally dropped down the mountainside of Makapu'u and it managed to survive such a dangerous tumble.

Go pro 8 wasnt very reliable for me, camera shuts off and only works when plugged in to power. Best buy was great service in their store though.
