Takes good video but overheats easily and shuts off

Decent GoPro. I also bought the Hero 10 and really like that model. This Hero 8 tends to freeze up at times that requires me to pull the battery out and re-insert it. This is a real easy camera to operate and the footage is excellent.

The battery doesn't last very long And how you opened the latch to get to the battery is very hard to do I'm afraid I'm going to break it every time I open it

My mom runs a food pantry at our local church. Its 100% nonprofit so i figured id get her a little gopro so she can vlog her food pickups and also as a bonding opporunity for the both of us. Its great. My mom and i are getting closer. I edit her videos so i get to spend more time with her. This was a great mothers day gift

I think that it is a good camera but the compromises with no Enduro battery and replaceable lens make me think the jump up to 9 might be worth it.

overall love its actually very waterproof, and that its compact, but i do not like the limited button functionality, Its very annoying you have to do button combos to get it to shut off, or when you try to turn it on via power it immediately starts recording. plus connecting it to the app does not help much for taking pics without interacting with it

This was an absolute steal of a buy, helps us get another angle for our behind the scenes with videography. Can set this up within your car and vlog efficiently. Absolutely recommend if you can get a great deal!

Big step up from my Hero3 and Hero1. Touch screen is easy to use. One touch record is handy. Stabilziation is fine for my purposes. Camera works great. App to download media and control camera is a bit finicky. Seemed like a reasonable model to upgrade to since I already had the mounts and didn't need the features on the 9, 10, and 11 for occasional videos.

Got it for a good price on sale. Using it for a bunch of different sports videos. Quality of the camera is great the 4k is really smooth. Just anticipate needed a large SD card since the files are pretty big.

Gift for my son who says he went to the store for instructions. He likes it for recording soccer and t-ball

Purchased this GoPro 8 for and upcoming trip where I'll be snorkeling and needed a camera that was waterproof. I have given it 5 stars based on professional reviews and reviews by Bestbuy users. I'll repost in about a month after I see my results from my trip.

Works great, shoots amazing video. However, low battery life and memory.
