I bought this for a recent ski trip and found out it doesn't work at all in temperatures of about 20 F. They advertise these cameras to skiers all the time, and then you charge it up and get out on the slopes with it on a sunny powder day and it's completely dead. I should have read more reviews before buying this, but I thought GoPro was the gold standard in action cams, and that this was just an older model with lesser specifications than the new ones. Apparently they only fixed the cold problem with the Hero 11. GoPro is at fault here for marketing a camera to skiers that doesn't work in Winter, but I'm even more disappointed with Best Buy. They only offer a 15 day return period, so it you buy something a week before your trip and are then gone for 8-9 days, you get home and realize you can't even return it. Unfortunately, GoPro treats this as an issue to be worked around (by carrying the battery in an interior pocket and then reinstalling it in the camera before each use, while out in the cold), so they won't do anything about this under warranty. So now I'm stuck with this piece of junk and just memories of my ski days in Whistler. I strongly recommend shopping anywhere but Best Buy for your expensive mobile electronics.

After the first time using it I charged it and when I tried turning it back on it just wouldn't turn on. Not even the little red light would turn on. I looked into it and apparently this is a very big issue with the 8 black. I would suggest spending just a little but more koney

Great portable mini camera! Just recently bought it for a trip to Philippines and the quality of my videos were amazing, in and out of the water! Durable and waterproof!

Originally got this for content creation, and it works well for that. It also works fantastic for an ultra HD dash cam

Ive been using this camera for 3 months now. I have it mounted on my motorcycle helmet and the image quality is amazing and very smooth

Forgot my newer GoPro for vacation, ran and picked this one up. Even though a few models older, it’s still great picture quality and functionality.

Daughter loves her GoPro, used it for snowboarding, riding around on ATV/Dirt Bike and will eventually be trying it out this summer wakeboarding!

Great product - water-proof (went scuba diving with it) and very convenient for travel trips.

Go pro works excellent and battery last long time and video quality is nice

I was excited to use this camera. The night i opened it and set it up it worked….. until i started charging it, after this it never worked. I charged it to full the night before. The next day i went to use it, the battery was completely dead. During the mext few days it would not turn on at all, would not connect to the app, would not charge, eould turn on randomly, overheated a few time. Did not even have a chance to use it the week i had itWas very disappointed.
