Even though I have used some GoPros over the years, I didn’t quite know what to expect with this one. To briefly sum up my thoughts, I am quite impressed, even if there are a few things I am unsure about. Shooting with this was really a lot of fun, and easy. This was my first time shooting 360-degree footage, and while there were some challenges, I enjoyed the new perspectives. The results were fantastic. I also really appreciated that it could still be used as a more conventional GoPro (Hero) as well (although more on that later) I liked the Quik software for a lot that it could do (editing, after the fact reframing, voice control, data overlays, panos), and “generally” found it intuitive, powerful, and, well…quick. That said, while it was good on the phone, I wish there were an easy/cheap way to do some of the editing on the desktop (where I prefer to do a lot of this type of work). Hardware-wise, it is about what you would expect from GoPro. Compact. Well-built. Rugged. Waterproof. The touchscreen is large, bright, and responsive. Nice, easy access physical buttons for the most essential needs. It is compatible with GoPro Mounts, of which there are a seemingly endless supply, but also has ¼ 20 mounting threads that open it up to tripods and standard camera accessories. A nice add, finally. Further, it comes with lens covers, which despite being somewhat hard to remove, are what I would consider essential given they need to remain unscratched. It would be nice if they would offer replacements for these lenses, as a competitor in the space has just done. We shall see. Lastly, while I have found battery life to be “good” so far, I am going to have to give it some time to see how it works longer term. I may need to pick up another battery or two. As I said earlier, shooting with this is a lot of fun. I do have some reservations about a few things, and to add to those, I do think you give up a bit with lower max resolutions and image quality than some others in the space. Ultimately though, I like this camera. It delivers good output, is built well, provides a high degree of versatility, and opens new doors of creativity with all of its capabilities…all at a more affordable prices than others in the market. As always, check your use case, but for all that you get I think the value is there.

I have owned a couple different go pros the last few years and they have always been great. This 360 MAX by them is even better. The looks of it are what you'd expect from go pro, simple, sleek and small. The small form factor is a plus cause it allows for easy use in any environment. Using this 360 camera is so easy. It's pretty simple to setup the go pro app and to get the camera going. I started testing it with content I want to make for a Vlog I am starting. It performed very well. The telescoping handle I used with it made it easy to get a clear view of all the footage I wanted to capture. I used the 3k mode so I can make my videos 60fps and it looks great. The stabilization feature works very well and really made a difference in my videos. I recorded so much content on a single charge and it still has life left. The battery is definitely excellent. The audio, both vocals and sounds of the environment, were very clear and easy to understand. The app is phenomenal. All the features for editing and how quick it is, really made creating and editing my content a breeze. I am so impressed. Great job on another great product GO PRO!

    A Value Added Update

I have a couple of action cameras including older versions of GoPro. On a previous Hero I had an overheating problem that would shut the camera off while in use but a firmware upgrade corrected that issue. Since the upgrade I haven't had any issues. I've used a suction mount on my car for long road trips with my car club and always had some pretty cool results. Using time lapse The new kid on the block is an update of the original MAX. I've never had a 360 camera so this has been fun to play with to see the different results. Of course you can use it in Hero mode as a regular camera but the fun starts when you switch it to 360 mode. Using the telescoping pole mount really kicks the action videos into a new realm. There is a mode that virtually eliminates the pole from your videos resulting in some close up drone like imaging. Stabilization helps smooth out the bouncy captures and with the Quik app you can capture your shots directly on your paired phone. With previous GoPros I would do road trips and set up the camera with still action shutter to record hours of driving. Using the Quik phone app I can make sure I frame the camera view perfectly and switch between multiple cameras. Pretty slick. I can't wait to get a pole attachment for my suction cup mounts for my car and do some cruising, maybe 3 Sisters or Tail of the Dragon or that stretch of road outside Oatman, Arizona. Should make for some epic action shots. It's waterproof as well so I'll grab this for kayaking and fishing but I'm too old to surf or ski so I won't be using this under extreme wet conditions. Also in the box you get a helmet mount base and camera attachment. The Max 360 itself now accepts a standard 1/4" x 20 camera mounts and with the flip down tabs you are able to install it on other GoPro mounts. You also get an adapter for the 1/4" pole mount to the camera tabs so you can tilt the camera for better selfie videos shot. The included battery has longer life than previous models. I haven't used it long enough to verify the claims. It is recommended that you use high speed memory cards and in the box it came with a 64GB SanDisk Extreme card. Perfect for most applications and you can download to your phone or the cloud (with optional subscription). A nice little bag comes with the kit so can stow unused mounts and the charging cable when not in use. A couple of wishes or complaints... - I wish the lens caps had a small tab to make it easier to remove. I had to fiddle with them for a while to get them off. Not a big deal if you are sitting in your car or on a ski lift but if you are getting into some action then it can be a bit of a hassle. - I also wish is that somehow they could incorporate a button on the pole so you can snap pics or start/stop videos rather than relying on the camera button or phone app. - because the camera is waterproof the access hatch for the battery, memory card and charging port are in a very tight space. I find the hatch door makes it a bit more difficult to pull the battery if you need to do a quick swap and the same goes with the memory card. Call it fat finger syndrome I did have to struggle a bit to pull these things. The awesome features definitely outweigh the nuisances and with a price drop from the original Max I think this is a true winner. More camera than I need but a really good add to my GoPro stable of cameras.

Solid 360 Camera for Scenic and Outdoor Use

The GoPro Max 360 HD is a capable 360-degree action camera that performs well in outdoor and travel scenarios. Initial setup was straightforward, with the device charging quickly and the on-screen menus being easy to navigate. However, the small and awkwardly shaped screen can lead to frequent input errors. The lens caps were difficult to remove, and the extension pole was stiff, though the inclusion of a mount compatible with older GoPro models was appreciated. One notable drawback is GoPro’s decision to introduce yet another new battery design. Despite owning three other GoPro models, existing batteries are incompatible, requiring additional purchases. This change adds unnecessary cost and inconvenience for long-time users. Video quality is strong, with smooth recording and accurate color reproduction. Stitching artifacts are present near the mounting point, but the rest of the image is clean. Audio capture is somewhat distant but remains usable. The Max HyperSmooth stabilization feature works well and noticeably improves footage quality. Other features like horizon leveling and voice control were not tested. Battery life is adequate and comparable to the extended batteries used in the Hero10, though 360 capture with both lenses active reduces runtime. Charging is fast and consistent with expectations. The redesigned battery door is a notable improvement, offering both security and ease of access. Software setup on Windows 11 was quick, and the GoPro Quik app functioned reliably for content transfer, viewing, and basic editing. The 360 video viewer worked without issue. This camera is best suited for users who frequently film in expansive, well-lit environments such as outdoor landscapes or underwater scenes. It is less ideal for those primarily focused on forward-facing content. The 360-degree capture allows for post-processing flexibility and the ability to discover details that may have been missed during filming.

My first 360 action camera. So many possibilities

Ive had my share of action cameras and have done my share of video logs, but never is 360 degrees. My main interest is logging electric scooter rides, and most recently logging my new motorcycle rides. My old set up was a camera attached to the chin of my helmet. This worked OK, but of course had a very limited view. Not anymore. This is my first 360 camera and it being a GoPro (the best in the business IMO), makes it one of the best out there. Its versatility is its main draw. With all the different ways to mount it you can get some really amazing footage. Im still experimenting with it and do plan on a more solid mount for my motorcycle but the stability of the footage is great even when the mount isnt. The camera itself is of course built very solid and hopefully can take a few falls. Although I dont plan on that happening. But GoPro makes their action cameras to last. Setup was simple and only takes a few minutes to get up and running. The video quality is excellent. It is so much better then my other cheaper action camera. And the footage is very stable as well. GoPro has this down to a science. Im really looking forward to trying out other methods of recording. And since this is so versatile Im sure Ill be experimenting a lot. But I now understand the huge boom in 360 cameras. They are just so much fun. If you are looking for a 360 action camera look no further!

The GoPro Max 360 is a fun camera. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to use it and how to take impressive shots but it's fun to learn. It seems like there's a lot of options and settings. You have to download the GoPro Player or use the Quik app to view the 360 videos. This seems annoying but makes sense once you see how you need special tools to move the point of view around. My gaming laptop was able to load these files but my basic desktop said I needed to pay for a codec even with the GoPro Player. I would expect that you get a free codec with the purchase. I'm not sure if you need a decent graphics card to be able to view them without paying or what. There is a learning curve and some talent to be able to edit these videos. You could just keep it simple without editing but you wouldn't be taking full advantage of what this camera offers. There's a lot of built-in effects on the app. I like that there's a HERO mode to take regular pictures. This helps out so that you don't have to switch back and forth between cameras. When shooting in 360 you can re-frame your photos for YouTube or Reels with one shot. I thought the video stabilization was good. I was surprised that GoPro was able to make the stick mount invisible in photos and videos. Finally the stick mount and the camera come with the 1/4-20 mounting threads so you don't have to buy adapters. The 6 mics are also impressive to capture immersive sound. I tried it out underwater and didn't have any issues. I would recommend getting lens protectors because they protrude out. I was disappointed that this camera didn't come with a hard case, just a loose bag. This also has special Max batteries so it won't work with your other GoPro batteries. This is kind of annoying since I have chargers and extra batteries that can't be used. I love that it came with a memory card though. I'm excited with summer coming to try shooting some more active and diverse activities. I would recommend this to anyone that likes taking action shots and wants to step up their game.

I've had a GoPro 8 for the longest time and enjoyed using it. Back when I used to snowboard, it was a great little camera to put on and capture my rides (and tumbles) down the mountainside. Seeing these 360 cameras out, I thought these would be even cooler to use for sports moreso than the regular GoPro. While I haven't been able to hit the slopes with this yet, I'm learning how to use this effectively/properly so that when I do hit the slopes again, I'll be ready for some really cool content to share. To be honest, the biggest learning curve for me is with the software since it's not your typical video editor using "normal" videos. Learning how to "splice" the dual video files can be a little tricky at first but I think I'm getting the hang of it. Battery life has been pretty good so far. I've been using it off and on for about a week now and it's still around 70ish percent. I am probably going to get a larger SDHC card for mine. Mine came with a 32GB one but I'm thinking a 128GB should be a good size for me. So now I'm thinking of some different activities to participate in where I can use this. It being Spring/Summer now I think I might take up some wake boarding or something. This is a really cool update to the normal GoPro and the results (so far) have been really promising.

This is the first time I've ever tried the GoPro-Max 30 HD Video Camera. For those of you that are beginnings like me, I recommend taking your time to review the materials before jumping in. When operating the camera you have the ablility to secure it to a helmet, bike, or a tripod, or selfie stick. I used the extension pole that it came with that measures about 4ft. When using the GoPro Max you can take pictures and record videos in the daylight or night settings. I do recommend using an sd card that is rated at extreme, so that the camera does not overheat. Additionally, feel it's important to download Quick app from either Google Play or the App Store [for Iphone] users. The app provides the capability of assisting with editing images and videos. When recording your footage can upload to the cloud if you designate it to do so. It's able to capture images and videos pretty quickly. Your able to take the camera under water, in different climates such as mountains, desert, etc. Your also have the ability to purchase additional items for your GoPro depending on the use that you need it for. Overall nice camera and would recommend to those that are interested in having a camera that is great for outdoor use. Indoor is cool too. Pros: Great Quality Voice Recording Images Captures Nature Cons: Non at the moment.

Overall a great action cam. Really love the 360 capture, and ability to then go back and frame the footage in a normal aspect ratio rotating to focus on what you want. Included mounting hardware is good to get you started mounted on a helmet or bike. It comes with firm rubber lens caps for both camera lenses which is great for storage and for when your only using one for standard video capture. And as a bonus you get a little drawstring bag to keep it in that has a pair of small pockets in it for extra memory cards or whatever. I appreciate the overall compact size keeping it in line with other go pro cameras so if you already have one and other mounting hardware setup, this should slip right into place just fine to expand your recording capabilities. The Quik app is handy to work as a remote and provides that reframing I mentioned earlier. but I really cannot state how much I hate that every time I open it it keeps begging me to subscribe to their premium service. And go pro, please, bite the bullet on the extra 10 cents it would cost to pack in a longer usb cable. I can live without having a charging brick in the box, the thing is going to charge just fine off my computer when I am plugging it in to get the footage off it. But really would like it to reach a little further than a foot.

360-Degree camera views, but lacks true 4k

TLDR: Action camera that can record videos and take photos with a 360-degree field of view. PROS 360-degree video Automatic Selfie Stick Removal Multiple Photo and Video Recording Options Effective Image Stabilization Automatic Horizon Leveling Slick & Smooth App Standardized ¼”x20 Mounting CONS 360 Video Max Resolution is 5.6k @ 30fps 360 Video Max Resolution is 3k @ 60fps Hero Mode Limited to 1440p @ 60fps USE The GoPro Max 360 is my first ever action camera. I’ve been eyeing them for years, so when this came up for review, I was excited to give it a try. I wanted an action camera to use a “dashcam” for my motorcycle. I didn’t like the idea of hardwiring or semi-permanent mounting to my bike. I wanted something that was easy to mount and still gave me the option of recording video from front and/or the back. Something that could not only record rides and track days but also be just at home recording mundane day-to-day commuting. But I was unsure how an actual action camera would stand up to the rigors of motorcycling. Exposed to the elements, constant vibration from the engine, stiff motorcycle suspension tuning, the Max 360 had a lot to overcome. The Max 360 has recorded clear video regardless of my activity. Commutes, back roads, etc. have not phased the 360. The video is clear and nearly perfectly stable, only getting upset from an unsuspecting pothole, expansion joint, or some other form of abnormality. But 99% of the time, video is rock solid. The same can be said for the automatic horizon leveling. It’s remarkable at how well it keeps the camera level. Except for sudden, hard cornering video remains perfectly flat. I really like that this feature can be disabled if so desired. I like having it on during commutes, but it makes for a much more enjoyable video turning it off during back road rides giving you a good idea of the lean angles. QUIK APP The GoPro Quik app is easy to use and figure out, even for a newbie like me and with a camera that has so many options and settings. Honestly, it’s the preferred way to adjust the camera and its settings. While you can still adjust the Max 360 from the touchscreen display, using the app and a phone is so much easier. After only a few minutes with the Quik app, I felt like a pro. It is extremely easy to navigate. The Quik app is also the preferred way to download videos from the camera as well. First the app looks for the camera via Bluetooth. Once discovered, it connects to the 360 via Bluetooth. When you ask the app to offload videos, preview videos, or do a live view, your phone connects to the camera via Wi-Fi (all of this is easily configured during the initial set-up). The phone gets a low-resolution version of what is saved on the camera for previews, then can download the high-resolution version should you choose. Accessing images and videos is quick and efficient, especially if you opt for the 5GHz Wi-Fi connection. Speaking of the Quik app, my favorite feature of the app has to be the live preview. Once your camera is set and mounted, you can opt for the live preview option and your phone can then be used to see what the GoPro sees. The phone mimics whatever recording setting you have the GoPro set to; wide, narrow, 360, etc. Using your phone’s built-in accelerometers, you can move the phone around to see the entire view from the GoPro. So slick!!!!! CONS Images and videos are plenty clear at 1440p, easily able to capture license plates, but the video still falls far behind full 4k quality, especially noticeable during Hero mode (Hero mode is front camera only). There are times that I wished for higher resolution videos. In a perfect world, the GoPro would be an 8k device, not a 5.6k device. At 8k the buyer would have the option of two 4k cameras. As it stands the Max 360 can do 5.6k resolution at 30fps, but drops down to only 3k resolution at 60fps. The Max 360 gets quite warm during use. Even when trying it out in the air-conditioned house, it still gets quite warm to the touch. I am curious to how well it will function in the 100+ degree heat of the summer. The included 64GB micro-SD card is good for about 2hrs of recording, as is the battery. Because of the design on the GoPro, getting higher capacity batteries doesn’t appear to be an option. FINAL THOUGHTS Even though the Max 360 lacks true 4k cameras front and rear, images and video are still sharp. The camera has held up well in its use to date. Even with all my commutes and rides, the camera is still pristine and unscathed. The rubberized exterior appears to be doing an extremely good job at protecting the camera from the elements. There are so many recording modes and features, I could write pages about all the different options and features. I know I didn’t touch on them a great deal here. If you have a specific or unique need for a camera the Max 360 probably has a mode or setting to suit. The Max 360 is fulfilling its role nicely in its short time with me. It gives me all the functionality of an action camera and with an aftermarket handlebar mount, a “dash cam”, in one small, tidy, and light package. RECOMMENDED

The GoPro 360 Max is here....Again. But Better

The GoPro 360 is here…again. But this time it’s better! I don’t really know why the first 360 did not have a standard tripod mount on it, but I’m very glad this v2 does. Along with that, the new 360 uses a new, and better, battery. I personally don’t have the first 360 max from gopro, but my friend does and I asked him about what he thought about it. First thing he said was the battery isn’t great. So I’m glad to hear GoPro addressed that and put a better battery in their new version. Other changes seem to be mostly software related or mobile app. Though I’m not a big user of the app, (I tend to do my editing on my expensive video editing PC vs my phone) I do still use the app for the remote use as well as the ability to whip together a quick edit for sharing with friends or whatever. I don’t love the workflow of editing on the app and I do feel limits a lot, as someone who is used to using pro editing software, but by no means is it bad. Think fast food versus nice restaurant, you’re still getting food. And for the average user, the app will work just fine. So besides the new upgrades to the 360 max, I also love just shooting in 3D. Photos can easily be made into amazing panos, self shot videos on a locked down shot can suddenly have movement and follow a subject around the room and the automatic removal of the selfie stick is amazing. It’s really a pretty clean removal. There’s a few frames here and there that need work, but especially for something quick, it works great. I was really hoping to use this camera on a snowboarding trip, but it arrived just a little too late, so instead I just used it walking around my yard. It wasn’t exactly EXTREME SPORTS but I was still able to test the footage and see how it performs. I gotta say, the footage looked really good straight out of camera. And there are settings to shoot in a flat raw type format as well if you want to handle the color work in post. I haven’t tried it yet to test the picture profile but I’m sure it would only up the image quality even more. I definitely think the new battery is helping, I didn’t deplete it fully but shot about 20 minutes and messing with the menus etc and didn’t run out of battery, it looked about a quarter left. I have a hero 12 camera as well and the batteries are always gonna be a talking point, but the bottom line is these cameras are doing a lot and 30 plus minutes of footage per battery is pretty good in my opinion. I just get in the habit of buying spares and a charger. Speaking of, charging is done via USB-c and the port is inside the battery compartment. I don’t know if you can use these plugged in, I assume so, but obviously that would not be water proof or dust proof with the door flap open. So only in controlled environments. OVERALL I really like this subtle redesign of an already really sweet camera. I think the hardware upgrades are great, and the app updates and user friendly features are nice for the average user. One nitpicky thing, I love that they include lens caps, but I thought I was gonna break them trying to remove them. I’d love to see that be a little easier. I also don’t love trying to edit the footage with their software and I really wish they would start making plugins for major editing software, but I’m sure that might exist already or soon by the time you read this. But the new AI features and selfie stick removal works really well and I can’t wait to add this camera to my bag on my future adventures. Like anything, there’s a few faults here and there or things that make me roll my eyes, but the image quality, ease of use, ability to go on rugged adventures and keep on ticking, and so much more is why I’ll always have a gopro in my camera bag.

SET UP Set up is easy, with everything almost self explanatory. The lenses come protected with snug rubber covers that are almost too secure to remove. My GoPro came with the selfie stick and a helmet mount. The GoPro has the standard tripod mounting socket while having the folding ears bracket which makes it easy to place adapters with it. The helmet mount for example, comes with he perfectly curved attachment with strong adhesive. The mount attaches perfectly on top of my helmet surface and is pretty secure up there using the ears mount with screw, without having to put anything complicated on my helmet. The camera button is conveniently placed on top so I can easily press record even on the go. The selfie stick is a perfect complement to the camera. With the same mounting style as the helmet adapter, the camera screws onto the stick and it extends to enable a hide and wide coverage of my recording. All of this, the camera, the mount and the stick are all well-made, making me feel secure about my camera wherever I go, whether it is staying in place mounted or how the camera will be exposed to elements. Maybe the only concern will be the scratching of the lens which protrude from the camera body. But that's the trade off for having the widest view. OUTPUT QUALITY The quality of my footages are what to expect from a GoPro. But the real draw is the 360, something you cannot just easily get from other high action cameras. I have tried other brands and they would rather capture 180 views while the output is not as hi-res as this camera. I usually keep my camera on 360-- that's most of what this is for me. I capture a whole fun bike ride with the kids, and it captures everything around me, enabling me to get footage of everyone, regardless of whether one is in front, one at the back or even when one overtakes. Same goes for my use of a selfie stick on a hike. APP USE App setup is easy as it easily detects and connects to my phone. It also recognizes new files and it transfers to my phone instantly. Of course my recordings are useless without an output and the Quik app makes me pick and choose how to edit my my videos with ease. First off, I can lock or unlock my direction and horizons. So I can easily keep the camera POV forward no matter how I move my head, because I know I need to look around the safety of my other riders. The quality doesn't suffer and the view is very stable. I can also choose to track a specific subject AT A GIVEN TIME which is key. At each point, I can focus on kid number 1, then move onto kid number 2. And while reviewing footage, I can take snapshots of specific frames too. Also, aspect ratios, quality type and even filters can easily be altered. This makes it easy to edit and share my videos, so they just don't stay in my camera for months before anyone sees them. As a dad of 4 young kids, who loves to do activities, this is the perfect camera to keep my memories and share them at TV time with the family. I haven't even seen what this can do at my other more intense activities, and it's already showing much use just with my usual family stuff. I'm sure this will come in more handy when summer comes.

I do a LOT of trail hiking during my off hours and have always wanted to be able to get a good body-cam style video of my "adventures". This camera allows me to do just that, giving me all angles with just one camera, without having to constantly adjust point of view, and does it without showing my extension pole in the video as well. I wear the extension pole in a molle chest pack, which allows the cameras to see both me, to the sides of me, as well as in front of me and all angles in between. The only "blind spot" is directly behind me. I'm able to trudge through the woods on my favorite trail systems and have a full 360 degree video of everything I see, everything I hear (it has 6 microphones!), and anything I encounter. This would have been handy in the past as I've encountered some somewhat aggressive characters while on the trails and would have loved to have had a video recording of the encounter to give to the police! Other super- useful features are the slow-motion capture , single-lens capture (like the HERO cameras), and the capability to capture video in 1080p, full widescreen or 1440p scales. Image stabilization is also available which does an outstanding job of taking shaking/stepping issues out of the video and makes them buttery smooth. It's waterproof to 15ft so you don't have to worry about being rained on or if it gets splashed on , and the battery is made to perform even in the coldest of weather. This camera is like having a multi-camera setup all in one small portable unit !

The GoPro Max 360 is the next in its flagship that offers everything you know about GoPro with an easy to use app for quicker streamline video editing. But is it more hype than promise? Out of the box you get the basic needs for a decent set up minus the SD card. First thing i did after start up was download the app and update the camera's firmware. After doing so i proceed to charge the GoPro up and noticed a couple of things worth noting. First the unit indicator light never changes color to let you know when its fully charged, it just always stays red. After full charge the indicator light still stayed on for 15 minutes and was draining the battery down from a full charge down to 90%. I had actually had to disconnect and re-connect the battery, this has been happening randomly and is never consistent. Also for those of you that actual mess with GoPros you also know they are very common for draining batteries period. Even with the unit completely off, after 24 hours of sitting and not being used the battery was completely dead. To see if the GoPro was the issue I fully charged the battery and with it removed i let it set for another 24 hours outside of the GoPro and after insertion of the battery it still remained at a full charge. Anyways moving on, the lcd gives you quick touch screen actions like 360 mode, camera settings, etc. Through the app you are supposed to have the ability to quick edit, which you can. However download times are horrendous and editing capability is limited resulting in you having to load your videos to your desktop for better editing features. The auto video editing feature is kind of cool, where it will take photos or videos you have and analyze them in to a edited video with music. The high action speed video footage is very good as its stability controls do a very good job at keeping your shots very smooth and in control. The 360 footage offers a variety of cool features like motion lock, where you can choose a fixated position or have the camera rotate with the pitch of your turns. Built in voice activation means with just a simple voice gesture you can have your GoPro take photos for you. After testing this GoPro and even comparing it to other similar cameras i own in this category im very hard pressed to make this my go to camera. The battery issues still haven't been resolved so pull your battery out after every usage or charge time, run time on 1080p at max 60 frames yields about 120 mins, if your lucky. While 360 footage run time is anywhere between 45 to 60 minutes. The app is very basic and almost feels like it just migrated from its alpha to beta phase as features are very limited and some choose to work properly when you want them too. Case in point, bluetooth from my smartphone to the camera never worked properly through the app which meant not only could i not turn on the camera wirelessly through the app but i also had connection issues about 75% of the time. And when going through GoPro's trouble shooter, i came to fine out i had to cycle my bluetooth and the power to the camera every time i wanted to connect. At the end of the day GoPro was a monster back in the day but i feel their cameras still have unresolved issues that just seem to never get taken care of.
