Works perfectly. I will say that no one tells you this is necessary for serious production when you buy a GoPro. It almost should be included with the camera

Refurbished Media Mod works great! Used it around NYC and the audio sounds great.

Its a cool case that adds some much needed IO on the back, not to mention the microphone. This fit perfectly for my Hero 10. I did have to get a new glass screen protector for the back screen as the one I had on was too big once this case wraps around the camera. Keep in mind that it also requires you to take off the battery door and thus no longer waterproof.

Overall I like it. You get more plugins, quality sound, and a place to put your lights. It might confuse some people getting their GoPro into it but it works fine and I've never had an issue using it with my other GoPro accessories.

Quick and easy way to add light and sound to your GoPro. Hard case doesn't mess around and will keep your add-ons securely in place while protecting the camera itself. Worth the investment as it adds so much more usability to your GoPro.

Absolute NECESSARY piece of Go Pro equipment for your camera. Only way to quickly view camera content on a big screen TV (utilizing HDMI adapter). A little pricey, but solid Go Pro quality.

I occasionally video long speaking events and love the GoPro because of its continuous recording! But my old GoPro didn’t have a mic input so I had to record the audio separately and stitch it together afterwards which was a pain. The media mod works great with the 3.5mm input jack for my microphone AND it has two shoe mounts which work perfectly with my Rode Wireless Go microphone so it all stays attached. I had to watch a YouTube video to learn how to remove the camera’s battery cover so this would fit (just pull hard), but it slides in well and has a tight, sturdy fit. It also had a USB port in the media mod for connecting to your computer for charging or transferring files. I could not connect it to my iPhone or iPad to transfer over USB-C, but that may because of my adapters. I think you need a special “camera adapter” for the devices to recognize it. The iPad did charge it when connected though which was nice. It also has an HDMI out port, but it’s a much smaller connection so you’ll need a Micro HDMI to regular HDMI cable if you want to use it. Overall it does exactly what I need and seems sturdy for long use.

The media mod is an absolute must have for anyone with a go pro. Totally takes things to the next level.

A must for GoPro hero 9. Great to add a microphone since the onboard one is pretty wack also great that I don’t have to take the flap off every time to charge my GoPro. only con is that it’s a little to pricey for what it is should be at most 49.99

BIG MISTAKE OF A PURCHASE. I’m very well versed and tech savvy with audio and video production. I’ve been considering adding a GoPro to my line-up for quite some time to augment videoing live music performances, primarily of my son. I purchased a GoPro HERO11 Creator Edition at Best Buy on Friday September 16, 2022 after weighing the options for live music performances. I own and use a wide range of great gear from a Sony A7 to my iPhone and a host of other video and audio production gear. The portability, stability and video quality of the GoPro seemed to make sense to capture more of the action shots I was wanting from the music performances. And, the “Creator Edition” seemed like a great out-of-the-box option. Ironically, one of the lead sales persons at Best Buy was walking me through the pros and cons of my decision just prior to purchasing. He noted there’s been a lot of complaints about the GoPro 9 and 10 overheating. This was of great concern, but the write-ups on the 11 mentioned the “Software Update” provided solutions for the overheating issue. I didn’t quite grasp how a software update could correct a hardware problem, but I trusted this to be the case. WRONG DECISION. I purchased the GoPro HERO11 Creator Edition with the intention of using it with the included Charging Grip. GoPro offered assurances the overheating issues were the result of a software issue and could be remedied with an update, plus not using the camera in a stationary position. I followed along with the most recent software and kept the GoPro moving while shooting my first concert with the camera in the shade. I was so angry that the camera overheated and shut down about 30 minutes into the performance. I literally missed recording half of my son’s first performance with his new band at a major festival because the GoPro HERO11 overheated 30 minutes into the performance. UNREAL!!! This is completely unsatisfactory and total bust of a product. Especially when a modern “action cam” can’t handle 30 minutes of shooting live music in the shade. What a piece of useless overhyped junk!!!! Thanks for the total let-down and waste of money. Worst of all thanks for making miss half of my son’s performance. Regards, E. Stephens

This is a good piece to have if you want to use audio on the GoPro 10. I still have to attach audio filters on the clips but it’s better than not having the mod on. Attaching the light to this is super easy as well. Only thing that’s annoying is switching out the batteries.

The Microphone works great and the new input for the charger is more convenient.

The case is great for protection, fits and works really well. I use it all time. Plus I bought it for the speaker so I can pick up better audio. No complaints

There is in my opinion a design issue. If you need to change the battery, you have to remove the entire frame or attach a charger to this. Other than buying a Volta, you will need to attach an external charger. Second issue is the battery life on the display is very in accurate. The GoPro stops recording at 30% of battery life, but when removed, the GoPro reports the correct percentage. Other than that, the sound is clear and works well. I’ll still use it, but will warn users who need this to be plug and play.
