Having an extra go pro battery is a huge benefit when you trying to capture the perfect adventure.

Its an extra GoPro battery. I highly recommend having extras so you don't have to miss any action!

I purchased 2 GoPro - Lithium-Ion Replacement Battery for HERO5 - Black batteries. They last a fair amount of time (about 2 hours) and actually charge pretty fast. I have a Karma Drone and must have a supply of batteries so I can my drone from the ground. They are really a great battery.

It is always good to have extra batteries available, especially if you shoot videos in 4K. I always try to buy originals when it comes to items like this. You know that they will work properly and completely fulfill the function they are to perform.

I have yet to have a problem with any of my GoPro branded batteries. I have seen several reviews where individuals have been using third party batteries for their Hero5’s. I never have been on the band wagon for third party batteries after a bad experience several years ago in which a third party battery swelled up in the battery compartment on a digital camera. From what I understand, GoPro released a firmware update that disables the Hero5 from using third party batteries. These batteries are not that expensive and seem to hold up rather well. I have a Hero4 Black and bought three batteries for that rig and they are still going strong to this day. I’m assuming that these Hero5 batteries will hold up in the same manner and provide years of reliable service.

GoPro battery is great. It takes a good charge and last longer than an aftermarket battery.

Recommended due to short battery life. Keep gopro off when not in use to maximize life
