It works fine and better then that one after market.

I have two batteries. Never have needed to change the battery in the field. I don't use GPS, or Wifi and generally turn voice commands off. 1080 and 30fps, short-ish 1-2 minute videos; the battery lasted all day.

Price of these batteries is worth the price. I've had these batteries for about 2 months now and used them multiple times. No issues with charging or keeping a charge. Batteries last a good while.

Exact replacement to original. I bought this as back up since I record a lot in my GoPro for a continuous period. I recommend the dual charger also since this helps charge fast.

Definitely recommend it for anyone planning to shoot with their GoPro a decent amount on vacation/during travel. Light and small, so it is easy to carry along. Nice to have a backup, just in case you forget to charge or are in an environment without an outlet. Only concern would be that the tab to pull out the battery feels a bit flimsy.

I use my GoPro for driving videos so I go through battery life very quickly. Recording at 4K will drain the battery in about 30-45 minutes, so I have bought many to last my lengthy videos. If you can splurge to buy the battery charger, I would do so as they come with an additional battery.

You can’t have enough of this batteries I have 2 go pros and definitely needed one more to have as extra works great charges quick and last a good amount of time

The battery is super small and has a decent battery life. I also like that it is substantially cheaper than a lot of other camera batteries out there. Can't complain at all.

UPDATE: I have purchased a second battery, to have with me just in case... I do recommend purchasing the gopro dual port Supercharger, it charges the batteries much quicker than the usb into the computer... Now, after testing this battery and the original, I found that recording video continuosly in 2K, 30frames per second, my battery lasted 1hr. 25min. before it showed only approx. 3min. left before it would shut off, it probably would last longer if I did not have other things going, like image stabilizer, etc... so being a battery that just came out..., this is probably where it should be... I would recommend this.

I purchased this as an extra battery for switching out the one that came with the camera when needed.

I spent the extra couple of bucks and got the GoPro brand battery instead of an off brand. It charges quickly and holds its charge quite well. I'm impressed!

Since they cut the option for a battery backpack on the Hero5 you need an extra battery for extended video/hi-res video shoots. Works like a battery should.

I have been very impressed at the battery life from the Hero 5 Black batteries. I shoot on 1080P w/60 fps. I got just over 2 hours of life w/ GPS turned off when I ran the Tough Mudder OCR. I had a super suit on it of course, but I was pleased at how well it did.

Got this to extend the life of our new GoPro HERO5 for a vacation. Did the job. Could film a ton in 4K with plenty of battery.

Let me start off by saying this, if you have a gopro hero 5 or 6 but dont yet have a spare battery, stop reading this review and complete your checkout already. Just buy it. Go do it. Now. Having a spare battery for ANY electronic is always a great thing to have no matter how great the battery life of that piece of tech is. But the annoying part is actually having to use it. Most electronics these days can be used for a whole day no problem, and then you charge overnight and start it all over. Unfortunately, that is not the case with the new gopro line. Ive had my gopro hero 6 for about 4 months now and use it extensively. Happy to say that I actually havent needed to use the spare battery in the same day. I am keen on maximizing my battery life by altering settings that affect it and turning off/charging up throughout the day when I can. However, I do always have the spare battery with me wherever I go, just in case. There have been times where I get down to 20-30% before 1pm, but luck out and am able to charge it in the car when driving to the next place/event. I also keep an external battery with me at all times and use that infrequently. All that aside, the bottom line is this. The new gopro line doesnt have great battery life. For the 5 or the 6, depending on your use, you may or may not use the spare in the same day as your original battery. However, because of the rather underwhelming battery life, having a spare is invaluable. You always have a spare tire in your car. You should always have a spare battery for your gopro. I was lucky enough that when I bought my gopro 6 from bestbuy, it actually came with a free battery as a bundle so that was awesome. Thanks bestbuy! If you didnt luck out like me, just swallow the $20 bucks and buy a spare. You'll be grateful for that one time you actually need it. 3/5 stars because the battery life of these batteries aren't great. But the concept of having a replaceable battery that charges at a decent speed, and be able to whip one out when you need it is a 5 star thing. Im glad gopro didnt make a nonreplaceable battery. That'd be terrible. END LINE: The battery life is meh.....which is why I highly recommend you buy a spare.

The GoPro battery is well priced compared to alternatives. It works well for the long days of filming and recharges quickly
