I'm not sure what the other guy is so mad at on here, but the Rollcage is a pretty nice accessory and is basically exactly what you think it would be. Its mostly made from a flexy silicone that provides a nice amount of grip for your fingers and hugs the body of a GoPro8 nicely. It also has a small detachable lens that pops in and out as needed. Getting it on is incredibly easy, I've been taking the lens out and squeezing the protective cover on and then popping the lens right back in. Sure there are a ton of dirt cheap aluminum housings you can get for a GoPro, but this barely adds any weight or heft, which is exactly what I wanted in the first place. I can use it on my Gimbal with or without the rollcage without having to change any of the settings at all. Only real downside is that you can't access the battery cover (so no charging from a power bank with the case on) but I can live with that in exchange for the extra security it gives me while doing anything action-oriented.

The GoPro roll cage is worth the money for protecting your HERO 8. However, there are a few things to think about. To charge or change the battery, you will have to remove the cage. When doing this, remember to make sure your lens On the camera and the lens cover on Roll cage are clean and lint free. The cage is easy on and easy off when needed and fits like a skin over the HERO 8. Also, the lens protective cover is removable from the roll cage if it needs cleaning while it stays on the GoPro.

Because GoPro 8 doesn’t have a changeable lenses and both this protective case. In general it’s good case and it doesn’t affect quality of recording just make sure you check cover glass because it’s easy to left your fingers print on it.

I like the roll cage but it is very annoying to remove every time you need to recharge your GoPro. Other than that. It is very good protection for the GoPro and is worth the $25.

Just picked this up today. This looks and feels really cheap unfortunately. The lens picks up way too much dust when inserting, even after cleaning numerous times. This product should go for MAYBE $14.99, but definitely NOT $25 bucks. Just save your money and wait for the off brands.
