I wouldn't call this a grill more like a sandwich maker hard to cook on because the hinge does not pivet to lay flat across your food like a George Foreman Grill. I like Gotham Steel products but this was a let down I will be buying a new George Foreman very soon and this will be used for grilled cheese sandwiches and paninis.

Somewhat disappointed

Not so much. The Cuisinart Pannini maker I got for Christmas is better without the copper color, and the grill plates are removable so I don't have to worry about the power cord when I wash them (or if I put them in the dishwasher even).

Broken out of the box

better than George Foreman
