Bought a new scooter - was shipped a used scooter

I bought the G3 over the GXL V2 because of the extra power of the G3 and the narrowed price between the GXL V2 & G3 (GXL V2 raised price and G3 dropped the price). I bought the G3 for when my teenage grandson visits, but also for my own use. I was excited ... until I started opening the box...
GoTrax shipped me a previously-owned G3. I discovered this as I unpacked and inventoried the scooter. Here's what I found:
- The boxes had been retaped (a clue)
- The handlebars showed wear (particularly where they clamped into the frame)
- The power supply and it's box were beat up
- and other minor items
I assembled it to see whether it worked. It did.
So, I contacted sales support. He was very courteous and sympathetic when he saw the pictures of the used scooter I uploaded. But, when he "checked with his manager" his manger could not do anything other than offer a refund or replacement -- if I disassembled the scooter, packed it up, took it to a shipping center (I'm rural), and waited. I was very sad that they put it on my shoulders. I had to decide whether to do all that (and not have the scooter for my grandson's visit), or just accept the used product.
I even offered to accept a small credit and I would apply that credit to a second scooter -- but no one in the support management seemed focused on customer satisfaction. This experience soured me on GoTrax. As a premium brand, one would expect more honesty and customer focus -- a lot more.

Change the name from Gotrax to Firetrax. danger

Can we change the name from Gotrax to Firetrax. I have had nothing but issues with this scooter. Bought a scooter for my daughter, she has had it for 4 months at the time of failure. Maybe rode this thing 10 times due to weather. She came in and complained that it was not working. Looked at it tried to charge it got nothing out of it. Charger turns off as soon as you plug it in. Emailed they sent a battery. No instructions thank god they are junk so plenty of videos on changing them out. plugged in the new battery. INSTANT SMOKE AND FIRE. This was over a month ago, I just get emails saying please wait, parts will come please wait just a little longer. I have asked them to just replace the scooter. Nothing but please wait. Pictures everywhere of these on fire. Stay away from Gotrax aka FIRETRAX!!!! Danger

Worked the first time I tried it. The next day rode it for about 2 minutes. As soon as I stopped it turned off. I couldn’t get it to turn back on. The next day it turned on but as soon as I put it to 2 it turned off and wouldn’t turn on again. Brought it back the next day.

Sub par scooter and ebikes. Their customer service is terrible. Dont expect assistance or repairs. Definitely better companies out that at comparable price range.

Only had it one day. First ride it quit halfway down my street. Completely dead after a full charge. Charged a second time and same thing. Had to walk it home. I returned it immediately. After going to Gotrax FB page I wasn't surprised to see all the problems people were having like mine with all their different models.

This scooter is great for a young kid around 8 or 9
