The user interface on the application to control the setting is fine and pretty user-friendly. But...the hardware leaves a lot to be desired. The adhesive tabs that are provided to secure the wires to the back of the TV do not hold down the wires. I have resorted to using some double-sided tabs I had around the house. So far so good with the third-party tabs. This annoyance would be overlooked and would not have resulted in my review. The big issue with this system is the camera that sticks out over the top of the TV so that the lights can be responsive to what is on the screen. Aside from it being an eyesore, again the adhesive is not doing its job. Yes, you have to stick the camera unit to the front top edge of the screen and the top frame of the TV. After less than a week the camera was significantly sagging. I used the third-party tabs I used for the wires on the back. Within 24 hours the camera was sagging again. Just now I removed those tabs and am now trying a different double-sided tape. We will see if this third option works. If not I will probably just remove the camera and just do without the screen responsive lighting. Sad that one simple engineering failure will taint the whole product. Recommendation to the engineers: Instead of having an L-shaped ledge to secure the camera, try a C clamp style with adhesive on all 3 sides of the C clamp.

This Govee background lighting is awesome! I have a 55inch TV and it fit perfect. I was most impressed about the response time of the color changing. As soon as the TV screen changes the color matches immediately. You get an app on your phone which you can control brightness/turn on and off/plus many more features! The camera can be a little weird at first on your TV but there is an option to put it on top or the bottom. After a few days you forget that it is there! Setup is very easy, light strips stick well and they provide plenty amount of stickers for backup! Overall this product is very impressive for the price.

This product is intended to provide dynamic backlighting to enhance video playback experience on a TV. I installed it on my large PC monitor because the lights that came with it were barely visable. These lights are very bright and definitely help with game play and ambient lighting in the room in general. Easy to install as well. Happy with product.

My 55” tv came to live with this Govee led kit. While watching tv the led color match the scene on the tv. Many compliments from family and friends. Easy to install even a caveman can do it! The only thing i suggest to the company is to make the camera more compact,so it’s less visible (a lower profile camera or a camera small enough to attach to one of the corners of tv. Even with this minor negative, i would still recommend it. It very cool addition to any tv. Lets go and get yours today!

This light kit was easy to install (I've found they can be stuck and re-stuck without losing most of the adhesion). Had some trouble getting the fisheye camera to stay in place but a small strip of masking tape fixed that. Syncs well with games and video and the Govee app allows for more detailed control of the light's settings. Smart home integration is a nice feature as well.

Quality lights. The material of the light strip is high quality as well. Very responsive lights when in dream view mode. Very high grade tv backlighting solution. Also you can sync these lights with other Govee lights to creat a more immersive experience 5/5

It takes a little getting used. For movies it really makes the tv seem more dynamic and even brighter. I wouldn't recommend for daily shows though. The setup is straight forward but take a little bit. For some reason my lower right was an odd yellow color when it shouldn't be. I recalibrated it with the room darker and it fixed the issue. Unfortunately after the first power cycle it came back. Ive also had to add the device to my phone 2x already. This might be because I have the power running through my receiver as it only has a power button on the controller. There should be an option if the screen is black for a certain time it shuts off or goes to sleep. Hard to believe with all the features it doesn't do that.

High quality product, very easy to install, very worth it, brings a new experience in watching movies and games.

To setup is super easy and they light so well that you cant even imagine how good this things are. Best lights in my opinion

Setup was a breeze. I used IFTTT to turn on/off the strip lights in sync with the TV’s power state. The lights respond to Alexa when I want to (rarely) use them independently of the TV, however, setting the color explicitly turns off the TV Watching Dreamview (where the lighting syncs to what’s on the TV) and you’ll need to go into the Govee Home app to turn it back on, which is a very minor inconvenience.

This product is an excellent buy. Got i for my sons room because he wanted to mount his tv on the wall. It did not disappoint. If you are looking for a way to add some wow affect to a room or a color scheme this is the way. Overall 5 stars for me and i will be buying more for other rooms.

Only the best when you watch a movie put music or just to relax the lights are awesome

One of the best investments there. This thing has amazing quality and does almost everything that a top name brand would do. This would cost you so much more with Phillips Hue. It has a great music mode that generates a beat with the lights. There are different scenes that you can use, as well. You can adjust it in a multitude of ways to get the color scheme just right.

Got the strip while it was on sale and the experience is well worth it. I read thaf the orange cubes uses for sync could damage the tv so i used bits of easy tear tape to secure them and it worked perfectly. I did not like how the camera sticks out when positioned on top so I just placed it on the tv stand under the tv, no problems so far. The movie sync mode is what makes it all worth it, the led brightness can be fixed to tv brightness while the saturation can be further customized. Works well in a lit room but really stands out when lights are off. I noticed it took the syrain off my eyes as i mostly watch tv in a dark setting. Movie and games never looked this cool. Totally worth every penny

The light strip, which is designed for being around the outside of a square, isn’t a solid line of LEDs. It is four(4) strips connected by thin flexible cables which are for the curving at the corners; it’s designed to start at either the bottom left(from front of tv) or top right of the screen. The quality is great, same as most Govee products I’ve purchased. However, the control box is a little on the bulky side, and to be able to use the lights with wifi, you MUST have the screen camera attached. Now this wouldn’t be that big of a deal except for one problem: The design of the camera is awful. It won’t work with any TV that is super thin or flat against a wall, because it’s designed to adhere to the top and a little of the front of the screen bezel, and is about 1-1.5 inches deep, so TVs like my LG OLED that are only 1/8 inch or less thick, there is nothing for the camera to attach too. I had to attach the camera to the arm of my wall mount so I could use the WiFi. Aside from that one flaw, there really isn’t anything wrong with it that I’ve noticed.

It's the dynamic effect people looking to get. A bonus of this vs HDMI controlled ones is that you are not input limited. But the camera is a little prone to picking up reflections if you have other lights too close. Also seems to work best if you keep the saturation at 10-25 percent, too high and you don't get good color separation. But well worth the price.

Absolutely love these LED lights for the behind the TV. Makes watching TV so cozy. I especially love that you can change the color. my only complaint it doesn’t stick well to my TV. I had to add tape to keep it in place.

Had to ask an employee to grab it for me from the back since there was none on the shelf, but dang am i happy i did! The colors look freaking amazing and fade perfectly when im watching a movie or playing games! Great leds for sure

This entertainment strip makes for some amazing effects, that accompanied with an app, makes it so easy to change to view by color, theme and even changes with the show you're watching. Would definitely buy again.
