They are okay. Not really waterproof, more like water resistant. Water collects on the bulbs if you place in an area with no drainage.

I was very disappointed with this product. I am from Maine and was looking to light up the backyard this summer. I was excited for like two weeks when the lights worked great and I could program them. Then some of the bulbs stopped working. I contacted customer support and they directed me to govee's website. I received a new string of lights after I had to hound them about the situation.

I do love the lights, they are beautiful, the only reason i gave 4 stars is because they are spaced so far apart and the app, for me, is pretty complicated. I managed to get the red and green colors on alternating lights but i can't figure out how to make them twinkle or cascade or get any effect. But i will Google it and I'm sure figure it out but the app should be more user friendly i think for people who aren't as tech savvy! But. I do love the lights and I'm sure will love them even more once i figure out how to use them to get the effect i am going for!

Great product for any occasion...not cheap! So, it was a little expensive, but good quality and good overall product. Bulbs dont get hot either, a real nice feature.

I bought 2 strands which worked great for a little while. However, one strand died. The lights had moisture in them and I would guess that is what caused it to fail. Govee replaced that strand however 30 days later, the same thing and now they won't replace it. They tell you only the original is covered and they don't care that the replacement only lasted 30 days. If you do decide to buy these and want them outside you better plan on taking them down after each use! Don't waste your money. You have been warned.

Not for outdoor. Didnt last. Bulbs held water every time it would rain. Junk and disappointed. They were awesome while they worked being programmable. Total design flaw on not being for outdoor use clearly.

Lights are nice and bright. App is easy to use. The pre-canned light shows are ok.

Fun lighting for patio. Can change colors to match holidays. The sync to music is also fun.

I love this outside smart lights from Govee 48 feet is long enough for my porch

They are gorgeous but..... as soon as the first rain hits they stop working. Im on my 5th set. Supposed to be water proof but what they dont say is the the controller is not. I bought water proof housing for them and they still go bad. If you get them just get the protection plan because you will be replacing them A LOT.

Pretty nice for covered areas. Terrible for put in the elements. I am not sure why these are considered outdoor. Both my strips took on water in the first big rain and no longer work. Pretty disappointed.
