I just wanted lights for my tv and these did the job. Has many colors and different settings. Very happy with this product and very easy to use with the Govee app.

The Govee 25ft light strip is well made and very bright. The first thing I noticed about it when taking it out of the box was its quality. Other light strips I've seen before were not even close to the construction quality of this. It has a controller directly attached to it and comes with a remote control which give you the option of controlling it manually and a remote control or you can control it using the Govee Home app. In addition, the light strip has adhesive on the back of it and you get adhesive clips for mounting it. The light strip is quite bright. It has many zones, segments of the light strip that can be set to individual colors. The Govee Home app gives you more control over this and makes it easy to set the colors you want for the whole light strip or individual zones compared to using the controller that comes with it. There are also dozens of scenes you can access within the app. The app allows you to get the most out of the light strip. I have two other types of Govee lights and have been using the Govee Home app with them. If you are already familiar with using the app with other Govee lights, then you’ll get up and running with the light strip quickly. Initial setup is simple. Connect your mobile device to the light strip via Bluetooth, then connect the light strip to your network. Once that is done, you can add the light strip to groups and set schedules for it. Connecting it to your network also allows you to get firmware updates for it. The light strip works with Alexa and Google Assistant. I have Alexa so I was able to control the light strip through voice commands. I can turn it off/on, set the color, and set the brightness through voice commands to Alexa. You set this up within the app once the light is connected to your network. Once the light strip is enabled for Alexa, you are good to go. Govee has done a great job with the construction and features of this light strip. So far, I have had zero problems with it. I should point out that the light strip does heat up a little when on, but it isn’t to a point where you can’t touch it. It hasn’t been a problem though. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to liven up a room with a high quality and feature rich light strip.

I used these strips under my bed frame and it looks and feels great. I also love how the strips are not exposed and covered over with a rubbery material.

Garbage...After spending 2 hours installing, this product worked for 24 hours until one of the light segments stopped working and I can't get in touch with anyone from Best Buy to request a replacement. It's either the wrong color or stays on when turned off. I look forward to another 2 hours of peeling it off the wall and removing all of the mounts to drag it back to the store.

I have light strips for my living room TV and on my TV that is in the garage. I like what it adds to the TV back lighting and to the room. I got these with the idea to put them under my bed. Right away out of the box, I plugged them in. They turned on and reacted to me talking. They were set to react to music. In silence, they were off, but as soon as there was sound, they lit up. The first thing that I noticed was that there was a clear protective coating over the lights. This is a huge upgrade over the lights that I have on my TVs where the LEDs are exposed. If you try to slide your fingers down those to stick them to something, your fingers are constantly bumping over the LEDs and it can get painful. With the Govee lights, you don't have that problem. Before installing them, I downloaded the Govee Home app. I started browsing through the color options in the "Effects Lab". There is an insane amount of options. I was going to count them, but I gave up because there are so many. Just in "basic colors" in the color gallery, there are 52 color options. The next tab is the Effects Lab which has presets for different options. These are all dynamic. There are nine category options. Everything from "Natural" to "Games", "Relaxation", "Life", etc. A lot of these options have several sub options. For example, under "Lightning" there are A, B, and C options which all have different effects. One thing to note is that some are strobe effects. However, the app will give you a warning the first time you try to use that effect for those that are sensitive to strobes. It will not start that effect until you accept the warning. The 25' length was perfect for our queen size bed. It wrapped around all four sides perfectly. It does have an attached control box which lets you turn the lights on and off and cycle through different presets. It easily integrates with Alexa. Now I can simply say, "Alexa, turn on the bed lights", or "Alexa, turn the bed lights green". One of my favorite features is the "Sunset" option. This starts at whatever brightness level you set in a light yellow and fades to orange and then red over about 10 minutes, and then turns off. Perfect for going to bed. These lights are very bright. I don't need a light on in the bedroom when the Govee lights are on. With them placed on the bottom of my bed facing the floor, I could easily sit in bed and read a book with no other lights on. Another great feature is the customization. You can turn on the segmented light and change it any way you want. There are 15 segments. If you wanted each section to alternate white and blue, you can do that. The options are limitless. You can click the world icon at the bottom of the app and use effects that other users have uploaded, or create and upload your own for others to use. My other two light strips only give you basic color options using a remote. The Govee lights are light years ahead of anyone else. They have the most feature-rich, intuitive, easy to use app I've seen. Can't find that exact shade of green you want? Open up the color wheel and slide your finger over it to get exactly what you want. A great option to try is the "Stacking" effect. It's in the Effects Lab under the "Emotion" tab. It scrolls light from one end to the other, stacking them from end to end, then runs them back. It's changing the colors the entire time also. I've been playing with these for about a week, and it seems like every time I open the app I find something new that I haven't seen before. If you're looking for the best, easy to install and use strip lights, The Govee RGBIC LED strip lights are hands-down the best! I cannot recommend these lights enough! I will be getting a lot more for different areas around the house. The possibilities are endless! Under the couch, under cabinets, around the edges of a room.

Finally a decent light strip that incorporates bright LEDs and custom effects. Setup: Very easy to install the app and even to control the functionality. The light strip itself is also easy to install and it includes the tape backing to mount on to your surface or even screw little mounts for a more secure install. Open the app and you are able to see many effects that you can use. The built in music sync is a cool feature as well. The microphone built into the switch picks up noise really well and reacts quickly to music levels. Integration with Alexa/Google assistant is also a great idea to control your lighting preferences. The fact that it is a RGBIC LED strip means that you will want to show this off to friends or family. It isn't like regular RGB strips. The flow of color from the different effects makes you just want to soak in the colors. Sync with other Govee light strips for a complete system integration that will have you looking pretty cool. There are really no cons to this strip. It is bright, works great, easy to control, easy to install. What more can you ask for?

I LOVE RGB lighting. Not only do I use the lighting for my gaming den but I use RGB lights for other rooms to create an ambiance (dinner, movie night, or whatever). However, I never landed on the perfect set of RGB lights. I had gone from the standard set that comes with a basic remote that only provided limited settings to a set that used an app but while they offered more options, I still wanted settings that catered to MY whims. And then comes Govee and their Wi-Fi RGBIC LED strip. Instantaneous Amazement: I removed the roll of Govee lights from its box and plugged them in to test them. Immediately, my eyes were pierced by the sharp and bold colors that danced through the rolled-up lights. The out-of-the-box setting is set so that the lights react to sound. The various colors spiraled with an amazing pattern! Knowing that the Govee lights offered a brighter display compared to my previous RGB lights, I knew that I needed to re-think how I would display them. I decided to tuck them behind the TV and shelf rather than line them along the wall in the open. A fantastic glow of color poured up the walls. A Plethora of Choice: Now that my Govee lights were in place, I downloaded their Govee Home app. Keep in mind, at this point, I was impressed with their lights but I was still hesitant about what their app might offer since previous RGB apps had been limited to pattern displays. The app is easy to navigate and you’re greeted with an abundance of light pattern choices. Far more than my previous RGB light purchases combined. You can set the Govee lights to preset Scene Categories that are uniquely different. There are so many options that you might forget that you are only scratching the surface of the RGB scenes. There are gaming categories that offer lighting options that accommodate the type of gamer you are. Adventure, Fighting, Racing, Shooter, etc. Each of them is a vastly different display. Have a gathering, dinner party, or whatnot? There are display options that will fit the mood. But here’s where I got really EXCITED about the Govee lights, there’s a COMMUNITY of other Govee users that upload their own custom light patterns! It’s like a social hub. You can search for a keyword as I did. I typed in Batman (I’m a huge fanatic), and the results showed other Govee users that created Batman/Joker themes and uploaded videos of what their designs look like. Like what you see? Just press ‘apply’ and your light strip changes. As I mentioned, this is a community hub where users can leave feedback and ‘like’ what they see. There’s even an AI Image Effect option where you can upload a photo from your library and the app will scan the colors of the image and create a light pattern from it. Or, if you’re undecided on what you’re in the mood for, then you might want to take the Color and Personality quiz where you’re asked some questions and a color pattern is created for you. You Won’t Regret It: I could easily write another two pages about what the Govee RGB lights have to offer but I will leave that up to you to easily discover. RGB lights are the perfect mood setting. Whether you’re streaming on Twitch/YouTube and need an epic lighting setup or if you’re having a date night and want to have that perfect mood lighting, these lights will not let you down. Stop debating and just buy them now!

The Govee Wi-Fi LED strip light is a great way to light up a room and make things fun. This 24.6 ft. strip has an adhesive backing that makes installation a breeze, but it also includes additional clips and screws for more advanced installs. You can easily control the lights with the three-button control box that is attached to a short cable to the end of the strip. One button is the power button, the other can cycle thru solid colors and the third will make the lights dance. The Govee Home app has a ton of features and configurations that you can play with. You can customize you own way or play around in the Effects lab. You are sure to find something that you like. The light strip itself can be set to full brightness 100% or all the way down to 1%, which is still pretty bright in a dark room. Amazon Alexa or Google can be set up to control them with some basic functionality as well. There are simply way too many features in the app that a review like this can cover, and I enjoyed playing around with many different things in the app with my daughters. All in all, these are a fun way to spruce up a room and make things fun.

First, I want to say that I am heavily invested in my smart home. I have a multitude of devices that all sync with Google Home. When I look at any smart home devices I look for 1) ease of setup; 2) reliability; and 3) integration with Google Home. The last thing I want is 12 different apps controlling all of my devices. Google Home, if you didn’t know, supports a wide range of smart home devices (including Govee) but in my experience not all work reliably (not here to point blame, could be user error). This light strip hits the mark on all three of my prerequisites. It’s only real limitation, as what I wanted them to do, was to sync with my music. It does it, but it’s limited. Especially compared to the Phillips Hue Sync box. But all-in-all, if you’re looking to add to, or start with smart lighting in your home, this is a terrific option. IN THE BOX The box comes with the light strip (in a spool), a plug adapter that should have plenty of length for most situations, and some clips. I’m not 100% certain what the clips are for, I’m guessing they give you the option to install the strip on something other than a smooth surface (i.e. wall or ceiling). SETTING UP First, putting the strip where you want it: the entire back of the full length of the strip has an adhesive backing. Obviously just peel it off and attach it to the wall. In the box are a few alcohol pads to help clean the area where you’re installing the strip (I highly recommend NOT skipping this step). As I said, there are some clips that have screws you could install on more porous surfaces, like wood beams, and you can stick the adhesive to the clips once they’re in place. Obviously the first thing you’ll want to do is make sure you have a plug where you’re installing them, preferably something out of sight. Of course, there’s a hard switch that turns it on and cycles through the colors and patterns of blinking. It too, has an adhesive backing. Even if you connect your lights to Amazon or Google, you’ll want it in an accessible place for turning it off/on when and if you need to. Of course, you could hide the whole thing and rely on your smart device. THE APP EXPERIENCE The second part of the setup is downloading the Govee Home app. You’ll need to create an account if you don’t have one. I found the user interface to be a little antiquated, but with most things, if you spend a little time looking at it and navigating through it, you’ll figure it out. It prompts you if you don’t have a device registered and there’s a plus button to hit to connect it. From there, your phone will look for the device over Bluetooth. The app found mine in seconds. Then I added the Wi-Fi network and I was off and running. There are TONS of customization options. It was honestly overwhelming. But, it’s nice to know that if you care enough and want to, you can customize it to your heart’s content. Something that’s not available through the Google Home app (more on that below). For example, you can set schedules for the light strip to turn on at set times. There’s also preset lighting settings if you’re like me, and just want to pick something easily available. THE LIGHTS THEMSELVES They are super bright and have a terrific spectrum of light. This isn’t just red green blue, etc. The shades of color are remarkable. And like I said, it’s plenty bright. It lights up my room without the need for my actual lights. Of course, you can dim them, but I prefer having them super bright with the ability to dim. I was pleasantly impressed with the colors and light. And the controller itself was extremely impressive. Of course, I haven’t tested it for a long duration of time, but I don’t anticipate any issues or changes. It responds quickly, even from the app. Honestly, there isn’t much to say about them as full RGB lights. They work great as you would expect. FEATURES I mentioned earlier that you can sync these with music. When I’m hosting, I like having the lights sync to the music playing. These lights have the option to do that, but there’s a small amount of lag. It uses a microphone, presumably in the controller, that listens to the music and reacts accordingly. I played some music and it seemed to respond appropriately but it was just a tad off. Probably not a big deal for most, but something worth mentioning. It’s not distracting, but for someone used to the high synchronization of the Philips Hue Box, it’s not quite up to par (however, the difference is in ease of setup and of course price). SYNCING WITH GOOGLE HOME I mentioned that syncing with my smart home is important to me. I turn all my lights off at night via voice command or through the Google Home app. I don’t always have the light strip on, but I want the option to turn it off without having to walk over and push a button or switch apps. Luckily, it was as easy as adding any other smart home service to Google Home. Then I assigned to the correct room and when I first tested it (asking Google to turn it on and off) it worked flawlessly. I haven’t had any issues on that front. You can also ask Google to change the colors. There are dozens of preset colors that you can set it to through the Home app or via voice. BUT, you can’t ask Google to set it to blink or pulse, etc. this may not matter, but the controls of the lights in Google Home are not nearly as robust as the Govee app. Of course, you can always switch to the Govee app when you need it. (and there might be a way within Google Home to give it more commands, I just haven’t found it). CONCLUSION While I have lots of Philips Hue lights, they are extremely expensive, especially their light strips. While my preference would keep my smart lights in the same ecosystem, the combination of price and performance make the Govee an extremely attractive alternative. If it didn’t sync to Google Home I might sing a different tune, but being able to control all my lights through Google Home renders the need to have Philips Hue lights moot. For the price of these lights, I can add as many lights and strips as I’d like without breaking the bank. If you are in the market for light strips, this should be high on your list; even if you can afford to splurge on more expensive brands.

I recently purchased the Govee WiFi LED strip lights and I must say, they exceeded my expectations. The setup process was incredibly easy and straightforward, and I was up and running in no time. The lights themselves are bright, colorful, and can be customized to fit any mood or occasion. I love that I can control them with my smartphone or voice commands through Alexa or Google Assistant. The adhesive backing on the strip is strong and has kept the lights securely in place. The Swann Pro Enforcer security system, the cameras with the police lights, but this time with a 12MP sensor. I owned the previous system which was also 4K, but the cameras were not 12MP. This is pretty much identical to its predecessor. The actual difference from what I noticed is the 12MP cameras. The NVR has 2TB of storage and you get an additional 2TB of cloud storage with dropbox for a total of 4TB. As always setting it up is very simple just like the rest. The instructions are easy to follow. The cameras connect very easily via the included RJ45 cables and they are long, 60ft. The cameras are equipped with night vision, siren, spotlight, 2 way speakers and their signature red and blue lights. The images captured by these 12MP cameras are very clear, just a slight image improvement over the older system. The night vision is pretty good too. The sirens are loud and annoying. As before the spotlights are bright but they could have been brighter. The NVR UI settings I am very familiar with, and they are easy to navigate. Swann Security app is easy to use as well. You can access your NVR remotely but you will be required to create an account unless you already have one. With the app you will add your device (NVR) by scanning the QR code that is on the device. Overall this is an excellent surveillance security system. It is easy to install and comes with all the necessary materials to do it yourself. It has plenty of features. The cameras are waterproof and the system can be used with voice assistants like Alexa or Google. It is a very reliable system and very well built.

I have a house of smart LEDs and strips, so when a 2nd Govee smart strip came up for review, I jumped because I was already using the app for other lights and hygrometers. ​​TL;DR for my frequent readers and details below. Pros: Brightness Color range Effects Firmware updates Wall hangers Con: Brightness App - functionality & accuracy Color consistency with other Govee strips Effect consistency with other Govee strips Meh: Some features of the App aren’t easily figured out (DIY) - Unrolling the lights, powering them up & adding them to the Govee App showed me it was “FIRMWARE UPDATE TIME!!!” That went off without a hitch and I hope they keep them coming. I didn’t attach them with the wall hangers, however the hooks seemed solid; I’d totally use them if I needed to wall mount the strip as I’ve seen some cheap hangers before - and these aren’t those. When using a large room-covering light strip (RGB Basic) and then adding in the RGBIC PRO, I see a drastic difference in the colors and common brightness (both at 100%, for example). As I mentioned, brightness differs from Govee light strips; a 65ft light strip is dimmer at 100% than this 25 ft strip is at 50% brightness. Also, scenes like “dance party” are different between those strips, making it seem more makeshift, than a same-company offering. Choosing red/yellow/orange on the different strips are not guaranteed to match, so it takes some tinkering to get it close. App color settings can be challenging. A 1% setting shows the brightness at greater than 65%, however when sliding the bar - at 10% it dropped lower, showing that the App has areas for improvement. When selecting colors to spread across all segments (select all), it will un-check all segments causing the need to tap a few more times just to cycle through colors. Gradient options help in color transitions. If gradients aren’t selected - red transitions to blue in 2 LEDs, however gradients will give a purple in the middle, making a smoother change to other colors. White colors (warm, cool, daylight) have minimal differences between them, so it’s tough to see a color change when using the slider. As for brightness, this strip can be “blinding” - not really, but it is super bright. Overall, for the 25ft that it covers, it’s plenty powerful and has a ton of features that make it a worthy smart LED investment. Thanks for asking! Yes, I do recommend this - however if you’re intermingling like I am, it does take some patience.
