Awesome addition to my front room tv for any occasion

They’re very good. It’s shine and modern. However, it dont stick to the wall at all.

This is an old, outdated version of Govee's product. It doesn't work well. The colors don't show up correctly at all. Govee's website has a better product for sale.

I have used used so many other led lights that simply cannot compare to these. My kids like led lights on their rooms, and I’m convinced I’ve used every option and brand from Amazon… But they always end up having issues, or disconnecting, breaking, or just not working like they’re supposed to. So I was skeptical when I got these but figured I would keep an open mind… Wow. I will never ever buy another brand again. You know how sometimes you can actually FEEL the quality? That’s what I’m talking about! Then you plug them in and download the app…. The options are limitless and you can every every combination of colors you could ever want, plus some. I was really surprised with the thoroughness of the app. That’s one of the things that will make me a loyal customer going forward. One of my favorite things to do is pair or to the music and watch the lights put on a show! You’ll feel like you’re at a club… I’m serious! Well worth the price and I think I’ll be buying several more of these for me and my basement tv room.

The Govee Wi-Fi RGBIC LED Stip Light is a very cool light strip with many customization options! Design The strip has small but bright LEDs on a flat strip. It looks like it would be bumpy where the LEDs are but it's covered with some sort of clear rubber or silicone, so it doesn't snag on things like you may think it would. There is an adhesive on the entire backing. It also came with adhesive clips that can be used for mounting. The one end has the control box. You connect to it via Bluetooth on your phone for setup and some other functions but then it also uses WiFi. Controls There is a white control box with three buttons. One is for on/off, on is for light modes, and the other is for modes that react to sound. Just plug it in and turn it on and it works. It can also be controlled with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa. I set it up with Alexa and that works very well is convenient for turning it on or off, changing brightness, and color for instance. App and Features It's fun without the app, but with the app there are a huge number of built in lighting settings, ways to select colors, and customization options. You can choose all sorts of light changing colors and patterns of motion. There are also settings that react to sound. The "Effects Lab" has ways to select color based on nature, food, season, and more. There are also some light settings that go with background noise type sounds - there are lots of options though ranging from ones you would expect like "Water Flow" to things that may surprise you like "Frying Bacon". You really can't even imagine how many choices are in here. There are at least four different types of color pickers. You can also pick colors based on colors in specific animals, fruits, seasons, and many other categories. It's really incredible how many choices and options there are for Summary You can customize each individual LED but that could be tedious. I was impressed with the customization that is available and the way it is broken into segments works very well for me. I don't feel it needs more customization. I haven't done everything with it but have been very impressed by the color choices and the DIY customization options. One thing that could be improved is that the contrast isn't great. I find it hard to distinguish between some colors - though it's easy to set anything in the app. Don't get me wrong, you can do red, green, and blue and easily tell the difference, but it may look more like a different brightness of a color when you're trying to get a different shade. For what it is, I don't think that matters a lot and I'm still very impressed with the product. I never imagined such a feature rich app for it.

Lights didn’t last long, strip lasted less time than the lights

The Govee RGBIC LED lights use IC multicolor diodes. The Led strip lights can be used to illuminate a display shelf (art glass, trophies etc.), pathfinding nightlights, or under-counter task lights etc.. Being able to change colors and brightness, allows you to match the lights to the desired mood / task. You can use these lights for multiple purposes in the same space by switching multiple-color options, patterns, and music sync. The lights are tightly spaced, providing dense lighting patterns. The built-in IC chipsets allow diodes to display multiple-simultaneous colors. This allows for fast, smooth transitions from one color to the next providing the capability of having fast-moving lighting patterns like rainbow effects. They come with an AC power adapter and need access to an electrical outlet. They are WiFi-controlled. To use them to the fullest extent you download and install the Govee Home app and you get a wide selection of color patterns or you can use the Music Mode to sync the lights with music from your device. You can also set up a weekly schedule to wake up to your desired light effect Once the RGBIC is paired with the easy to use app, it can also be controlled by your home’s voice assistant. It’s compatible with both Google Assistant and Amazon's Alexa, you can perform all of the functions using the app, you can also use the hard-wired controller to control a subset of features. Check back in 20 or so years and I will update you on them - great LED strip lights

I am a huge fan of RGB lights. I installed these in my office/game room along the ceiling crown and it's amazing how much lighting adds to the ambience of a room. The installation was quick and easy. The longest part of the set up was connecting to the internet. You have to be on 2.4 GHz network or it won't connect. This is fairly common with smart home devices so you just have to make sure your router supports this frequency and that you're connected to that channel when trying to pair these lights with your phone. Once connected, the app offers a lot of customization and control. You can have your own light show and combine different effects to cater to your unique style. I tried this out for a bit before settling with a fading color changing sequence. You are able to customize to the mood that you're in but there are also the default options. You don't need to connect to the app to get amazing light patterns or change the sequences. You can even turn on music mode straight from the control on the power adapter. This mode is extremely fun to use especially with bass heavy music. The best part about these lights in my opinion is being able to control them through voice. It's very convenient not having to pull out the phone to control the lights or even just turn them on and off. Overall, these are the best LED light strips that I have owned and I plan to install more throughout the home.

This is a product that might not be on a lot of peoples minds. But once you use it, you will love it. The possibilities are endless for this light strip. To begin, here is what you are getting: A 25 foot RGB LED strip that can really be placed anywhere as long as you have a power source. It can be twisted around just about any way you can think of. It can be controlled by the attached controller or by an app. It can react to music and it is even works with Google & Alexa! Now I must admit, I wasn't sure just how bright the lights would be. But wow! These LED's are bright! As I said before, you can use this for many applications. For me, I'm using it for photography. I do a lot of creative photography work particularly at night. The ability to discretely (or not so discretely) place these lights for photo effects is amazing. With the various colors & either still or flashing effects, the creative ideas are endless. You might be wondering how I can use this on location without an outlet? Simple, I just use my 240 watt portable battery pack that has a built in household outlet. The power draw is very light so this can power it for a very long time. I really can't praise this LED strip enough. Great build, very bright and incredibly versatile.

I have other brands of RGB lights around the house. I decided to replace the ones around the TV with these. These lights were crisp with just the right hue. I left them at the default setting and turned the TV on. The lights changed color to the sounds coming out of the TV. I then downloaded the App. I found that the Govee was completely customizable for every use. There are categories of display available on the app. You can also fine tune each color to your liking. The application After downloading the application, the first thing I had to do was redownload a new version of the application. Why, would it not make sense to have the newer version already available in the store. With the click of a few buttons, you can link your Alexa/Google Assistant account with the Govee. You can then control the device with your voice. Installation Using the supplied clips install the LEDs to your surface. Remembering to use the supplied alcohol swabs to clean the surface. While the LED strip is flexible use caution bending it around corners. Plug it into the wall and the control box. Turn them on and you are on your way. I would recommend the Govee Wi-Fi RGBIC LED Strip Light to friend and family.

I bought this thinking that everything will be in the box as I was buying this as a gift. Literally opened it and there is no power adapter. I cannot even return it to get a new one.

I received this product in exchange for my fair and unbiased review. This LED strip light set is extremely flexible for indoor installation and usage. The length is perfect for smaller bedrooms and trayed-in ceilings, and looks amazing when the strip itself is hidden behind moulding. It’s bright enough to be the only light source in a room when set to white, and as long as you have an outlet, placement options are nearly endless. The fact that it’s set up with programmable segments also gives you options on how it can be used; I placed it behind some ceiling moulding in my kid’s room and it functions as a very fun night light. If there was any drawback to the Govee RGBIC LED strip light, it would be that one of the ways it looks coolest - wrapped up on its spool in sound-sensitive mode - is not really an option for usage. Pairing to the network with the Govee home app is super easy. It also was easy to connect to the Google Assistant. All in all, the Govee RGBIC LED strip light is something I highly recommend.

This smart light strip is the best that I've used and I've used several different brands. I love all the different lighting options. There are different colors/shades to meet your current mood. It looks beautiful too. I can pretty much customize it to exactly what I want, when I want at the moment. Great things: I can notice the difference even in the quality of the tape. The lights are brilliant. The option to control different segments of the lights is also a plus. The music mode is great especially since most light strips I've used just react to the sound of the music but being able to sync to the music from my phone is a game changer. The Govee app was easy to setup and simple to use. Being able to use the controller, the app and Alexa. It should work with Google too but haven't tried that. These are the ultimate led light strip. With so many different color options, the many patterns you can set it to, the music mode and the ability to change the brightness at any time, I would recommend these 100 percent.

This strip light is awesome! Its made of high quality material, is very responsive to an app with a lot of features, and comes with a high quality 3M adhesive on the back of the strip. The lights don't need an app because they have a built in control with a button to turn on and off, another button to cycle through colors and designs and then a third button to adjust the brightness. So that gets you going right out of the box. However, the app is a must download and is easy to set up the connection with your phone to your lights. Once you are set up the responsiveness is instant from your phone to the lights and you have now just unlocked endless pre-set designs, scenes and modes which includes Music Sync. Music Sync is my sons favorite. The app uses your phone's speaker to listen to any song and then create a light sequence that goes to the beat and sound of the song. Its very simple to use and amazes the heck out of my son in his room. From there the possibilities are still endless with customization and settings that you can test and play with for hours and ultimately create your do it yourself lighting effect. This is a well built, great functioning strip light for a very affordable price that we are very happy with.

First off, I have to say that for any room that you want to add RGB color lighting to I'd say definitely get these! You just have so much more control over how the lighting looks in the room by being able to control sections of the color inside the strip to make really custom effects for you room according to how you want it to look. I've had people ask why you'd use them but I can honestly say, the best way to look at these is to look at is as painting a room with color by bouncing light off of things inside the room. I put these in the corners at the ceiling and have ordered some foam crown molding I'll put under them so that the light is projected out toward the middle of the room across the ceiling. As for setting these up, they have 3M adhesive on them so they're ready to hang. If you need to make sharp turns/corners, look for the connectors that let you cut the strip and use the connectors to make the turns. I wish they'd included a couple samples with these so you can try it. Once you have them where you want them, you can use the app to control them and connect them to a smart assistant like Google or Alexa.

Govee - Wi-Fi RGBIC LED Strip Light is a well-made quality product that can add brightness to any room. The setup was a breeze and the LEDs on this strip are very bright. You need to download the Govee Home app to control various settings, update firmware (which there was), as well as for some custom DIY modes. The app was surprisingly easy to set up and use with so many available features. The strip comes with strong adhesive on the back that holds the strip in place. You can also use the additional clips for mounting options. The lights can be controlled via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth options. You also have the option to control the LEDs via Alexa or Google Assistant. I wish there was Siri integration for Apple ecosystem users, but I haven't seen that in this category. There is an inline control box that you can use to power these lights as well as cycle through the colors. Another cool feature I like about this strip light is that it syncs with your music and changes the LED lights. I would recommend this to anyone looking to add quality lights to brighten their space.

Looking to add RGB lights to a setup? Looking for a fully customized light experience? Then look no further than the Govee - Wi-Fi RGBIC LED Strip Light - 25 feet fits the bill. Hooking the lights up was very simple thanks to the reel the lights come wrapped up in. Getting them into the place you want was the hardest part for me. I decided to use them in the gaming room to add that extra flair while gaming in the dark. Once the app is downloaded and setup you are walked through simple steps to customize your light segments on how you want to get the colors and patterns. The color circle pallet was very intuitive getting the exact color I wanted. It has music mode to react to the music you are listening to. The other cool feature I was happy with was connecting Alexa skill into it and having Alexa change colors when I asked Alexa to do certain things. The fact that these lights have some many features and uses make them really useful and valuable for any consumer in the market for RGB lights. I highly recommend these lights.

Overall, these lights are very good. The part I had difficulty with was hanging, as they did not want to stick to the wall. This could be due to the adhesive, but could also be due to the texturing on my walls. The lights also come with a few wall mounts, so that is how I have mine hung to the wall. There are well over 50 pre-programmed light modes to use in the effects lab tab, as well as a large list of colors to choose from. The lights have a switch that you mount to the wall. Otherwise you can control them with a smartphone app. The app is fairly easy to use. After connecting your lights via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, you can choose one of the several pre-chosen effects. There is also an option to choose from one of fifty built in sounds to sync your lights to. Another feature in "sound mode" is that you can have the lights sync to the microphone with one of 11 patterns. Another cool feature is that you can change each segment of light in the “color” mode feature. The app has an option for different timers. There is a sleep timer, which turns the lights off after gradually dimming. There’s also an alarm setting, where the lights go to the specified brightness gradually to help wake you up. With the added bonus of being able to connect the lights to your Google Home, these are overall a great product. I can recommend this product to my friends.

As an Alexa driven accent RGB LED strip it works well and is responsive via the app or through Alexa. I placed this strip under some cabinets hoping to get some extra usable light in the Kitchen. For my purpose it's not as bright as I had hoped in a warmish white in the 5000k range. And because it is RGB some colors look different under this lighting. Setting up the app was simple, but it uses Bluetooth as the connection and not wifi so it is not compatible/configurable with SmartThings. The adhesive on the back of the strip is much better than other internet LED "3M" backed strips. It would've been nice if they indicated trim marks. Be aware If you cut the wrong spot that last segment of LEDS will not light. I did not care for the scenes as they are not very smooth for example the campfire/fireplace setting the solor shifts are too jerky to simulate a flame. Other modes seem too epileptic for me. Another downside in my eyes is yet another app I have to signup for and install on a variety of devices I order to control this strip. Luckily there is a mountable switch so the strip is not solely dependent on operating via and app. This strip will be moved to behind our living room entertainment console to provide accent lighting. And be able to change w/ the seasons/holidays. Individual addressable banks will add some cheery colors.

The best thing I can say about the Govee LED strip is that the app is very intuitive and feature rich! The lights themselves are good for indirect lighting, not as good for something that you would see directly. The best usage I can envision would be for perimeter lighting on a covered (mostly weather-resistant) balcony or around the ceiling of a room. If you don't have to look at them directly, they fill the room well and blend the lighting excellently while using a relatively small amount of electricity! I would recommend this LED strip for someone looking for great accent lighting in a theater or streaming room, but for outdoor or direct viewing, Govee has purpose made products for that that offer the same amazing app experience and great LED strip quality that these offer. For indoor usage, especially for whole room accent lighting, this is definitely the one to go for! The setup is very intuitive, including the 3M adhesive on the back, makes for an easy experience placing the LED strip where you want it. The system is more weather resistant than they give it credit for, but they also offer outdoor systems for that specific purpose, I just tested them outside briefly and they happened to catch a rain storm. They held up perfectly, but I would advise going for the outdoor system for outdoor purposes.
