Grand Theft Auto V has lived up to the series' pedigree. I haven't played much of it but it is unbelievably enjoyable so far in the story line. Playing as multiple characters is amazing and Los Santos is gigantic. I would like to see The Last of Us win Game of the Year, but GTAV would be a great choice as well.

GTA 5 is a great game overall with a few minor issues. The story starts out a little slow then becomes a lot stronger as the game progresses. The progression of the story occasionally takes some odd turns that don't really seem to fit the narrative. It also could have had more of the big score type missions. Still the story is great overall. Most of the missions are your standard GTA affair though they take some interesting twists in this game. The ability to switch between characters on the fly is pretty awesome since it gives you more perspective and options on any given situation. Leveling your heist team and picking who you want to use is a really neat feature as well since it lets you determine your take. Even as amateurs level their skills up by taking them on heists, their cut remains the same. The thing that actually depressed me most was the music on the in game radio stations. The choices aren't anywhere as good as the last few entries in the series. To be entirely honest, they blow, but the game plays good music during the action packed parts of missions.

The good: storyline is evolving and the first 10 hours teach you how the new controls work. There are plenty of Easter Eggs including a very early hat tap to M.A.S.H. Just keep your eyes open and listen to news radio often - plenty of tips snuck in there. Sasquatch, UFO's, and what looks to be an impressive online experience. The bad: Downloaded the iFruit companion app and it struggles connecting to RS servers; this causes me a great deal of concern regarding online play and how frequently the servers will drop me due to strain. I want to believe, but I'm reserving judgment until after it launches.

I have always enjoyed the GTA series. This latest installment has a great feature that allows you to switch between 3 main characters in the story mode. It also features a whole online universe which I have only begun to explore. Great gameplay and story make this a great addition to the GTA series.

Great for all ages, own other Grand Theft Auto games and this one is possibly the best

The game is very good. If you like GTA, this will be more of what you crave. It looks better than an open world game should look on consoles. Rockstar has really shined here and the soundtrack is very good to boot. As I've gotten older, I've moved away from playing games with just meaningless action and instead gravitate to games with great characters and story lines. This is hands down the best GTA story in the franchise. I recommend a buy but be cautious if you have kids. The game is full of bad language, violence, drug use, and sexually explicit material. I play only when my kids are asleep.

There is so much detail put into this game it's ridiculous (in a good way). The main characters are interesting in their own way and drives the story well. Gameplay is the same GTA style, but improved and with top notch graphics. There's so much to do, and it's one of the games that are actually worth $60.

This is probably the best game I have ever played it is a lot of fun. The storyline is amazing I love how all three character's story come together so well. The gameplay is fun and exciting, the graphics are great, the driving is fun. I like how much they improved since the last game. Overall amazing game!

Loved it, played for at least 6 months or more straight, got burned out on it, but good game to buy.

This game is awesome. Control three characters within the story mode. Some much to do in this game.

Been looking forward to this game since its announcement and it hasn't disappointed yet. Been playing for at least 15 hours and the end is still no where in site. And the online play is still to come. Plenty of game play for those looking. The graphics and audio are near perfect and the story is great.

This Grand Theft Auto finally makes good on the promise of past games. All Grand Theft Auto games have been leading up to this; this GTA is the real deal. The graphics, story, and impressiveness all add up to the ultimate sand box game experience. The controls have been vastly improved from GTA IV (Thank Goodness) and now there are checkpoints within the missions so you don't have to drive halfway across the city just to retry a mission. If you didn't like GTA IV I'd recommend giving this game a try at least because in my opinion GTA V is a major improve in all sense of the the word.

Wow. This game is pretty amazing. To start, this is Grand Theft Auto...so adult content is to be expected. With that out of the way, you will not be disappointed with purchasing this game. The world is huge with tons of things to do. Seriously, probably like 40-60 hours of play time just for the single player game...not counting just messing around which is also fun. The story line is compelling and does not seem repetative at all. The use of three main characters really works well and lets you experience the game from different perspectives which is a nice touch. The online component (which is not yet launched at the time of this review) will add a whole new component to the game...other players to interact with! Complete missions with other players, make your own missions for others to play, race each other, fight each other in death match modes...the list goes on and on. GTA5 has almost perfect scores from professional reviewers and for good reason, it's an excellent game and has raised the bar for others to try and achieve.

Rockstar basically proved that there's no competition between GTA and pther similar games. It's the franchise's crowning achievement, very large map with lots to do. And with three characters you can play as and switchbetween any time, you're basically never without entertaining game play and dialog!

Fun, action packed game , have purchased it 3 times already , entertaing for hours, great buy..

The open world is amazing, after many hours I still find places I haven't seen before. The graphics are amazing when you consider how vast the game is, but are not the best to come from a PS3 game. With all the driving and similar missions I can see getting burned out on this game really quickly.

This game is as great as all of the other GTA games. They just keep getting better, but as long as they've worked on it it doesn't surprise me. The open world online lets you roll up on other players and go to war. This is awesome and really makes the game even better as if it needed anything.

Idc how old this game is it's still fun until this day I still play it on my PS4

The details in the game are great and you can hardly beat the graphics, but its still a lot missing, one example is it's GTA the stock market is a nice touch, but that all it is im playing GTA, I shouldn't need it to earn good money,I completed story mode and only earned around 30 mil meanwhile on property cost 200 mil (earn money illegally is first stock market is a side item) everybody is still expecting it to compete with SAN ANDREAS, they could have brung SAN ANDREAS back with these graphics (this standard was what i expected) would have sold the same amount of copies

Great game to play interesting storyline easy map access great car chases and storyline easy to follow with lots of play time. Many cars to choose from and also other vehicles are fun to drive and crash around. Detailed and massive open world map. Fun game to play I highly recommend purchasing.
