Great film, was told about it and i saw best buy had it for sale.

Classic war movie and it's about a true story. Even better! Reminds us of evil and heroes in the world we live in. "Look harder" from Act of Valor. Glad I picked this one up. Might re-watch with commentary track, especially given it's about a true story and who's on the track. Check it out.

I loved the movie. I was amazed by how the prisoners survived their time in the camp and what it took to rescue them.

i haven't seen it yet but i have read the reviews from everyone else. it seems like its a great movie, so i will give it 5 stars also. i hope its a great movie and i didn't just lied to anyone who is reading this.

It was a little slow in the beginning but a good story

I am Shootergamerguy and if you have'nt read my reviews I use my time watching and playing Shooter games and movies to write these reviews. The Great Raid is a wonderful film of captured U.S. soldiers in Japan. Rangers were sent to help rescue the troops whille this movie tells it's true story. The Great Raid is for those who want to know about the most successful raid in history and for all that love WWII films. This movie may not be a Band Of Brothers but it is deffinetly an action flick worth watching! until next time, Shootergamerguy check out my other revews!

This is not a very popular movie, but it is well worth the money to purchase or rent. It is based on a true story, and an incredible true story at that. Funny thing is... towards the end of the movie, I thought it was kind of unrealistic, but when it ended I was in shock and loved it even more. I won't say more than that, but if you watch it you may have the same reaction (unless you know the story, which I did not). This is a fantastic movie and I definitely recommend to anyone who is a fan of these type of movies.

Just to clarify the last review, this movie takes place in the Philippines where American soldiers were trapped in a Japanese camp, that took over Manila. The Japanese were ruthless, this movie demonstrates the fight for survival under tyranny occupation.
