It worked great though, its just a lot of work. The cord is kind of a pain. The reason for 4/5 stars is because the safety trigger is awkward, that could use a redesign.

Light weight, easy to use, and pulled out a lot of thatch. Dragging around a power cord was annoying but once a year its not a big deal.

Greenworks dethatcher is god send.

This dethatcher is so easy to operate and makes me wonder why I never purchased one before. I am on my way to being 80 and it's now so easy to dethatch my Zoysia grass and it does a better job than my landscaper. I filled 3 huge trash bags with the leavings from just my front lawn. Very pleased with my Greenworks dethatcher and Best Buy.

Easy to assemble and use. Seeing great improvement with my yard. Used this tool first, then spread grass seeds and fertilizer. Very happy with this purchase!

Great for removing thatch

After going over the lawn with this dethatcher I used my lawn mower to bag up the thatch. The entire process was extremely easy and the machine did a great job. I would recommend using a heavy duty extension cord.

I am very mechanically inclined and do a lot of my own work around the house. I would not recommend buying this product. My money would have been better spent on renting an aerator.
