I am an employee of Best Buy and had the opportunity to use the Greenworks 80V chainsaw over the past few days. I'd previously only used gas powered chainsaws and while those are very powerful, they are often tricky to start, heavy, noisy, smelly and seem to require a lot more maintenance. So first things first, I appreciate how light, powerful, and sharp the teeth on this chainsaw are, and with that power, how quiet it is. I also appreciate that it's eco-friendly and therefore not polluting the environment with emissions when in use. The chainsaw itself came ready to use --simply plug in the battery, pull the chain guard up and hit the throttle. The chain was taught and required no tensioning out of the box. The manual was very straightforward providing guidance on the chainsaw components, how to oil the chain and importantly, safety precautions to take when operating. To summarize what I liked, how light and quiet it was, the chain's sharp teeth and the power of the chainsaw. I only had a few branches to trim and therefore didn't use the chainsaw to its full battery capacity but with gas powered chainsaws one is --presumably- able to cut for a longer period of time than with electric provided they have a gas can nearby. Therefore if you're using this commercially or have a big yard, a consideration would be to purchase multiple 80V batteries and bring them fully charged to your worksite. Reading through the product overview you can expect up to 115 cuts on 4x4 lumber.
