      Hello CardMan. We are sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied with this unit due to the weight. This unit weighs 9.9 lbs. (4.5 kg)(without a battery). As each users’ capabilities differ, the strap helps even out the weight. Shoulder straps can be purchased separately. Greenworks exoFLEX Deluxe Shoulder Strap for String Trimmer and Leaf Blower
      (SKU 80023202). When using the pole saw, hold unit firmly with both hands. Always keep your left hand on the pole shaft and your right hand on the rear handle, so your body is to the left of the chain line.     I am a chainsaw killer, so my goal was to stay away from anything gas powered. I only needed one to handle small jobs and this polesaw was the perfect solution. This thing cuts like a knife theough butter. Its quiet but powerful! I highly recomment this item!

    I ordered this online along with another Greenworks product. This product came with the box taped up, as it had clearly been opened. Once I opened the box, I saw the battery was not in a factory-sealed bag and had small scratches on the back. The charger was also not in a typical bag and also had some wear marks on it. As far as the actual chainsaw, it looked unused, but there was oil visible on the bar, which I am not sure if it came from the factory as such. This was obviously a customer returned product and not sure why they thought it was okay to send it to another customer. I did contact BestBuy who told me to return it to the store which unfornutaly I am nowhere close to.
