I love the Greenworks brand, but this chainsaw I cannot recommend. Try another brand of chainsaw.

New chains tend to stretch; so be sure to check the chain tension frequently and tension as required. However, be sure to never tension a warm chain before storing as chains shrink when cooling and this can damage the chain, bar, and saw. Please ensure that when you remove the side cover that the following parts are there and in order: sprocket (chain wheel), chain wheel washer and finally the c-lip. These parts are imperative when it comes to keeping the chain on. Love it, everything started right up out of the box. Wanted another battery and the chain saw went on sale with battery, so I had to purchase that too. Happy to have a full matching set instead of looking for cords and gasoline.

Bought it to cut oversized pieces of wood that wont fit in my log splitter. My sister had some trees cut down in her backyard but i didnt own a saw at the time so i missed out on tons of firewood for the winter. Never again. The power is dynamic and a tree wouldnt stand a chance of giving you a problem. Most times a carburetor issue can occur if gas sits in a tool for long periods of time without using like in the cold weather state i live in. This battery power releaves that burden and the fast charger really does charge fast. Im glad i purchased!! Its a keeper!!

It made quick work of large branches up to 10 inches in diameter and took down one smaller tree. I was pleasantly surprised with the power of this saw and the volume of work I could complete on a single charge. The quick recharge time is also a plus.

It is quieter so it is honetly better. The battery lasted long enough to cut down and then chop up a 14” diameter tree around 40’ tall.
