So easy to use!
Battery lasts long enough to mow entire lawn.
Very light and quiet.
I need to find out how to turn off the ‘headlamp’, thinking this could preserve battery life.

I bought this as a backup for my rider mower. The next week, the drive belt on my rider broke and I've been using the this mower ever since?
I thought of buying a second battery, but now realize that one battery lasts about as long as I need to cut without a break in the summertime.
The mower was easy to assemble and is easy to use, especially with the variable speed control.
My only negative would be the safety flap behind the cutting deck. When I need to pull the mower back, I end up lifting the back of the mower so the flap doesn't drag, which is probably a greater safety hazard!

Great lawnmower for small yard. (Probably overkill for our yard). Easy to use. Moves a little too fast for me on “rabbit” setting, but easily adjusted.

Greenworks - 80-Volt 21-Inch Self-Propelled Lawn Mower with 4.0Ah Battery and Charger.
I like this mower a lot. I initially purchased a competitors version but returned it because it was too fast even at the slowest speed setting. I couldn't keep up with it.
This mower is just right at slowest speed setting. I doup the speed setting in thick grass. I have St. Augustine which is very thick in parts of the lawn. The mower
automatically increases speed in thick grass and returns to the speed you set in thinner grass.
It comes with 1 battery but I purchased another 80 volt 4Ah, and also an 80 volt 2Ah. Depending on how tall the grass
gets I use all three batteries. I always have to use the second 4Ah battery to cut the front lawn.
The mower is fairly maneuverable but I use a battery operated push mower on my back lawn. To disengage the self propelled mechanism on the Greenworks mower after you let go of the speed lever you push
forward, then you can pull backwards. The back lawn is full of trees so I prefer a
basic push mower around the trees

So far I like this mower. It's easy to clean and easy to operate. The battery only lasts about 20-30 minutes so that is the only issue I've had. It will not complete the entire yard and I have an average size yard. Battery charges in 1 hour so plan on going out at least twice to complete the job.

Brand response from Greenworks Tools

Hello JulieY. We are sorry to hear that the included 4Ah battery runtime does not meet your expectations. As we are not sure of the condition of your lawn, we are not exactly sure why the battery did not meet your expectations. The maximum runtime often applies to a flat, open yard. Slopes and obstacles require more power, and users can expect running time to be less, if this is the case. Runtime measurements are also related to the condition of the grass and if it is well-maintained. Tall, thick grass requires more power, and you must mow it slower, consuming added runtime. Here are a few tips to ensure the max runtime is achieved. Ensure you charge the battery fully before each use, maintain the battery properly by cleaning terminals, avoid extreme temperatures during storage, consider buying a second battery for larger lawns, mow in a straight line. If the grass has been left to exceed 4 inches, we advise that you raise the cutting height and cut no more than one-third of the length of grass at a time, wait a couple of days and do another one-third, cut when grass is dry and walk at steady pace to allow the blade to work more efficiently. As the lawn becomes consistently maintained you will see the cut and runtime improve. Hope these tips help! Should our suggestions not yield results, and you are still concerned with the runtime you are getting we would be happy to investigate to see whether your run time would be considered average; please start a Live Chat through the customer contact page located on our website: www.greenworkstools.com or contact Greenworks at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). All we ask is that you have access to the unit so that we can complete troubleshooting with you and gather necessary unit information.

Powerful and quiet. I was worried about the run time of the batteries the first couple uses but once the batteries get a couple cycles of charging I can now do our whole lawn on one battery. We have extras for our other greenworks tools.

I bought this mower since I was having trouble with my 1993 gas mower and I was already in the Greenworks 80V battery ecosystem having a leaf blower and chain saw. Mower worked well on first mow. Stores nicely. Needed to swap out to the second battery to finish the mow. I mulch everything that falls into the yard and this mower had sufficient power to mulch finely and chop up the sticks.

I was only able to use this mower once and I must say this is one of my smarter buys. I am a woman in my late 70’s and like doing my own yard work. I had a Craftsman easy start for 10 years and loved it. We moved and i sold it thinking I would be happy having someone else do our lawn work. Went through two companies and decided to do it myself. Went with battery because I didn’t feel like messing around with gas and oil etc. Best decision I have ever made. My yard was so clean and neat, picked up every little piece of leaf and was a breeze to use and start. I would highly recommend this mower to everyone!!
