Hello BigRed - We are sorry to hear of this experience. The temperature of the battery prior to use should not be too warm or too cold. Safe battery operation temperature ranges from 1°F (-17°C) to 113°F (45°C). Please note, do not store or charge battery outside. Battery must be charged and stored indoors prior to use of the machine. If the machine does not start: [1] Remove the battery pack from the machine. [2] Charge the battery pack to 15 minutes in warm area, or when the charging light turns green. [3] Install the battery pack back in the unit. Information on battery storage and temperature will in inside your owner’s manual. Hello Isaac. Thank you for your review. We are very sorry to hear about this experience, please try resetting the charger. To do this, simply unplug it for approximately 10 minutes and then plug it back in and try reinserting the battery. To ensure proper contact and secure placement, firmly push the battery into the compartment. You should hear a distinct click or snap, indicating it's properly seated Greenworks 80v battery and charger platform are covered by a four-year warranty from the date of purchase.
