Just have to remember to charge the battery after each use. I have a 1/4 acre lot and never run out of juice as long as the battery is fully charged.

Decent mower

The mower is powerful. I advise purchasing a 2nd battery. 1/4 acre lot can barely be cut in ideal setting with 1 battery. The mower's components feel cheap, perhaps it's because it's lighter than a traditional mower.

I was hoping going with this electric mower would save me time and gas in the long run, I figured it would be able to handle my small yards without too much of an issue but I have been disappointed, especially for the price. The wheels remind me of a child's toy, large plastic and impractical, no real gripping, often I can't use the mowers Propelled functionality because one or both wheels will lose traction. I was hoping the battery would make it through both yards without an issue, but unless the grass is short and I work to optimize my route/power usage the 1 day 30-minute mow becomes a 2 day 15-minute mow. The single blade also doesn't cut as consistently as a gas-powered mower. I often find myself wishing I had purchased a cheaper gas mower.

Thank you for your review. We appreciate your honest feedback as it gives us an idea of where improvements can be made moving forward. We are concerned to read that you were less than satisfied with this lawnmower's performance. Here are a few mowing tips! 1) When cutting thick grass, reduce walking speed in order to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings. 2) Only mow 1/3 of the total grass length at a time - no more. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months. 3) Mow when the grass is dry. As this is an electric unit, mowing wet/damp grass is a safety issue. However, ensuring the grass is dry will also help the grass cut cleanly and discharge appropriately. Wet/damp grass carries more weight and will mostly stick to the blade/motor shaft and will not appropriately discharge or cut easily. 4) Make sure the battery is cool before use. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. We hope these tips will help!
