Worked perfect. Took me 30 minutes or so. The battery was still strong but just put in on charge anyway. Mine come with 2 batteries. Should of took video, maybe next time. Gonna buy on for my brothers

Unfortunately, it is also very heavy and hard to maneuver, some of that is the battery and can only throw the snow in one direction. The battety does not last that long.

Blows with the wind

It is windy here in winter so trying to use this is futile. I Would NOT recommend this product it’s in need of several modifications. The direction in which it blows needs to be in more than only one direction also why can’t it be made with wheels so it could move on uneven ground? This item may work for a paved even driveway? Also I used it on my porch and the wind blew the snow onto my roof . ( if I could of moved the direction in which it blows it probably would of been a much better product) It works but needs improvement.

Posted .Hello DeborahM. Thank you for sharing your experience. Most snow shoves are not equipped with a chute, they are a light duty electric snow shovel for walkways, driveways and patios. Positioning matters, try standing slightly to the side of the shovel's path, not directly behind it, to avoid the snow blowing back at you. We do suggest noting, the wind directions, if possible; and move in the same direction as the wind so that the snow is not pushed towards the wind. Directing the snow in front or to either side by pushing the snow shovel forward so that it rides on the scraper. We hope these tip helps provide a better user experience. It's still hefty and as others have said, you need to pay attention to the direction you're going if there's wind, as there is no way to direct the snow being cleared. Still easier than a shovel or a snowblower.

The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because as a taller person I need a bent handle to push at the proper angle - this one requires me to stoop too much.

However how it sits it needs much more work. Unit can be heavy to move around. My battery stuck in the box where the battery goes. All snow hit me back, did not throw snow out. If you adjust the unit it does not help. Had better luck with my regular shovel. It really is not any quicker to get the job done. Save your money. Not worth the over 200 plus dollars. More worth 50 dollars if its lucky. No chance for Recommendation

This model uses fixed directional vanes rather than a chute, and snow should be directed forward when the auger is fully engaged, and the shovel is kept at the correct angle during operation. As you move the electric snow shovel forward, a plastic auger scoops up snow and flings it forward – usually about fifteen or twenty feet forward. A cushioned shoulder strap may have helped? A 12” wide swath is too small a cleaning area to do a driveway. Wheels on the unit would have allowed easier maneuvering of the unit. Quality workmanship but more like a “Prototype” the battery is between 4 to 4.5 lbs alone.
