To direct the angle at which the snow shovel throws snow, slightly tilt the shovel itself in the desired direction while operating it; by angling the shovel slightly left or right, you can control where the snow is ejected. A small tilt is usually enough to redirect the snow slightly to the side you want. We hope this tip helps and provides a better user experience. Hi KayR. Thank you for taking the time to share you experience. We recommend taking in account the wind directions, if possible; and move in the same direction as the wind so that the snow is not pushed towards the wind. Directing the snow in front or to either side by pushing the snow shovel forward so that it rides on the scraper, should hopefully assist in a more enjoyable user experience. Hello MelA - We are sorry to hear the snow shovel is not starting please follow this sequence exactly in order to start the snow shovel.
[1] Verify that the battery pack is inserted into the battery compartment. [2] Press and hold the lock-out button. [3] While holding the lock-out button, press and hold the trigger switch.
NOTE: The Snow Shovel will not start if the lock-out button is not held until the trigger switch is lifted. Once trigger is pressed and unit is started, release the lock-out button. [4] Hold the handles and begin to use the snow shovel. Battery may not properly start if it’s temperatures is -17˚C or lower. If unit does not start remove battery from snow thrower. Place battery on charger and allow to charge for 10 minutes to allow battery to warm. Remove from charger and install in Snow thrower for use. Hello Albert. We would love to hear what you think of the Greenworks 80V Snow Shovel when you have a chance to use it a few times. In the meantime, here are some tips we'd like to share with you to ensure longevity of the unit. The temperature of the battery prior to use should not be too warm or too cold. For snow throwers if the battery is too cold it may not be operatable. Allow the battery to get to room temperature prior to use. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. It is recommended to store the battery with a full charge, and if it is being stored for a period where no use is expected, to check on the charge every couple of months. If you notice the charge has dropped, we advise charging the battery back up to full before returning it to its safe storage place. Following these steps will ensure you receive the most of the battery life. Hope this information helpful. Hello Good - Thank you for your review. Any single stage snow thrower does require a fair bit of upper body strength and depending on the condition of the snow it can get more difficulty to maneuver. For example, light/fluffy snow will have less resistance and a greater throwing distance in comparison to wet/heavy snowfalls.
