Hello CarlN. We are sorry to hear the kit has not met your needs. The both the 80v 12" shovel and 20" snow blower can throw snow as far as 20’. Depending on the snow conditions, you might need to adjust the snow intake depth. Here are a few tips to help better your user experience. Start slow, begin with a slower speed to get a feel for the machine and the snow conditions.
Adjust the chute, direct the snow discharge away from areas you've already cleared by adjusting the chute angle.
Overlap passes, slightly overlap each pass to ensure thorough snow removal.
Take smaller bites in deep snow, for heavy snow, move slower and make multiple passes to avoid overloading the blower.
For the snow shovel, adjusting your pushing speed, and managing the amount of snow you scoop up at once; pushing at a shallower angle and with less snow will generally result in a shorter throw, while a steeper angle and a full scoop will throw snow further.
