Snow go away!

Out of the box, this Greenworks snow blower was easy to assemble and was plug-and-play! The handles are metal, the body mostly plastic, and the auger plastic also.
There aren't as many metal parts on this electric blower compared to a gas blower, so it's a lot lighter and easier to transport. I had a gas snow blower and had more back problems than if I shoveled my way out..
I comes with two 80V rechargeable batteries and a charger that recharges to a full charge in around 45 minutes.
I had only one opportunity to use this blower this season, and it was in 2-3 inches of snow. It was used on our shared driveway, and sidewalks for our house and our neighbor.
Only one-half charge was used on one battery for this storm, two batteries should be fine for 6-8 inches of light snow.
We have a rechargeable lawn mower as well, mostly plastic. Treat this snow blower in the same manner, not like bulky metal tanks.. I would not use this on unpaved roads or driveways that have gravel that can damage plastic.
Great for sidewalks and paved driveways.....!!!
Also comes with a leaf blower that uses the same batteries..COOL!! And $700 off the original price!

Purchased for my parents as a gift; they have an 80v mower, so adding this to their arsenal was a no-brainer.
Both tools were quick and easy to assemble and the batteries came fully charged.
The thrower works phenomenally with lighter snow and moves heavier/wet snow better than expected—it helps to move the thrower back and forth, “chipping” away at wet snow.
The blower’s throttle is particularly nice when maintaining a bigger lawn or tackling a large job site.
Couldn’t beat the price- purchased separately, the three batteries and charger cost about what I paid for them + the tools!

The turbo option on the leaf blower is amazing!!! The snowblower works really well here in TN. We recvd 5” of snow & it plowed right thru it. It might not be a good option is States that receive numerous heavy snow falls…I think a gas driven snowblower would be a better option there.

$399????!!! Wow!! Regular price $1199, and Deal of the Day made this baby totally affordable. The 80V stuff by Greenworks pack a punch, and these are no exception. The blower is super powerful and the 20" snow blower knocks out 6" of snow on a 3 lane, 40 feet driveway in about 20-25 minutes max. The battery charges quickly (about 20 minutes) and getting two 4 amp hour batteries makes this deal a steal! I actually get most of the snow with the snowblower and finish it off with the blower assuming the snow isn't too heavy. Super impressed!!

I live in a state with heavier winters, and reside within an apartment complex that does not do a timely job of clearing. I still have work and life to do, so I purchased this on a sale. It arrived the day before a storm where we got about 2-3 feet of snow. This saved my back… and my time from clearing!! I even helped keep my favorite neighbors path clear too. Each time I went out to clear I would used about half a battery. If you are sick of shoveling this is the way to go.

Everything in this combo blower kit was easy to unbox and assemble. There was a loose screw rolling around inside the shipping box, but I checked all pieces and can’t locate the origin. I’ll hold onto it just in case, but everything seems to work fine. The leaf blower pieces slide together for quick assembly, and the snow blower was also a quick and relatively easy assembly. Neither required tools.
The set ships with two 4Ah 80V rechargeable batteries and intelligent charging base. The charging base caught me off guard initially because I wasn’t expecting a loud fan noise nor the large arc of electricity it produced from the wall outlet when I plugged it in. The latter was my fault for putting the battery on the charger before plugging it in, rather than after. I assume the charger’s built in fan keeps things cool while it fast charges the battery. Both batteries took approximately 30 minutes each to fully charge from a near empty state, which is pretty good. The quick charging is helpful for alternately charging batteries while I work, if necessary. The charger also has a diagnostic system that displays battery health and charging status. The fan and running noise is moderately loud, comparable to a box fan on medium or a microwave exhaust while cooking.
The 730CFM leaf blower is lightweight, ergonomic, and potent enough for all of my lawn and garden duties. This is the perfect time of year to test a blower, and the Greenworks blower didn’t disappoint. It made quick work of clearing recently fallen leaves, twigs and other debris across a two-car driveway and adjacent lawns. It has an adjustable trigger lock to help me power through jobs nonstop without hand cramping or fatigue. Although the blower is not as loud as gasoline models, I use hearing protection because it still well exceeds healthy levels for continuous sound exposure. I’ve had both gas and electric blowers and for my current home, prefer electric. Gas was more practical when I had a lot more land to maintain, but this blower and runtime are perfect for my current property size. The dual batteries provide more than enough run time for most jobs. I have yet to run out of electricity before completing a job with this blower, and typically perform multiple jobs between charges.
The snow blower is another tool I’m eager to use, although I’m in no rush for a snowfall. The 20-inch width provides ample size for clearing my driveway and walkway. The power and adjustable thrower chute are both easy to operate from the handle and there are dual headlights for night or dim light use. Noise is also moderate but not as loud as the blower, the blower is lightweight and to maneuver without difficulty, and battery insertion and removal are easy. It’s only November, and a mild one at that. It will likely be few more weeks before any appreciable snow amounts become a realistic possibility. But it’s reassuring knowing this blower is here and ready to go when the time comes.

Greenworks - 80V 20” Snow Blower, and 730 CFM Handheld Blower - 2-Piece Winter Combo Kit with (2) 4.0 Ah Batteries & Rapid Charge
Included- Snow blower, handheld blower, charger and batteries, manuals
Assembly- I personally am pretty good about following directions if the manual is clear and it was thorough. There's a ton of information in the four manuals in very tiny print so you might need a magnifying glass or good reading glasses. But there's some good step by step instructions with diagrams so I was able to unpack everything and assemble it myself. On the snow blower mainly you have to out the handle together and install it, along with the chute deflector and control rod. On the blower I had to click the tube onto the main body. You have to fully charge both batteries but it didn't take too long to get both done. The fan on the charge is fairly loud so you may want to charge it in an unused room.
Hand held Blower-
There is a lot of power with the handheld blower. The green trigger button is the power button and also controls the speed by the amount of pressure you pull or release the button. To stop the blower, just totally release the button. There is also a cruise control button that will lock in your speed. The turbo button that is located on the stop of the handle, when pressed, will run the blower at max speed. At any speed it runs very loud and it is heavy. So I won't be able to use it for long intervals but there is a lot of power. It will blow and direct things around for you easily, whether it's clean out the dirt from the garage or make a pile of leaves.
Snow blower-
Before this, we only owned a very large gas-powered snow blower that is hard to manage. It was too much for me so if my husband didn't clear our snow with it, sometimes my teenage son would but he's off to college. Shoveling breaks my back so I jumped at the chance to own the battery operated Greenworks 80V 20'. I feel like this may work well for my large 3 car garage driveway. I can at least clear a path all by myself to get in and out of the garage when I need to. The snowblower is light enough that I will be able to push it around. And it starts up so easily with the touch of a button. You hold down the button and then pull on the green lever/handle. The turn crank to change the direction of the snow chute is a little hard to direct. It's doesn't want to turn very easily but I'm not sure if that's just this snowblower or all snowblowers. There are two lights on the snowblower to make it easier to see if it's dark out because sometimes you can't be out clearing snow during the daylight.
I love that the snow blower has lights. I love that the batteries are interchangeable with the whole Greenworks line. They're so easy to pop in and out with both systems by just pressing the bright green button/lever. The batteries have an easy light indicator to tell you how much power is left. You can just press the button and the bars will light up accordingly. I'm not excited about the cold or snow but I'm excited about my new snowblower. I don't have any snow to currently to clear so I can't speak to the actual throwing and clearing power. I do expect a lot from the Greenworks 80V 20" snow blower, as far as the ability to get the job done.

This is a good combo to make your fall and winter yard work easy. I have used the blower to clear leaves from my front and back yards as well as a 2 car driveway. I am happy with the results that I have seen. Here is my experience in details.
The installation of both blowers is easy. It took my around 15-20 minutes to assemble both. The included charger provides quick charging. I was able to fully charge provided battery in around 45-60 mins. Both the blowers are made of some polymor and look durable.
The leaf blower with 730 CFM is really powerful. There is a trigger to control the power. There is also a turbo mode which I would advise to use only when needed as it drains the batter more. I ran the blower at 100% power without the turbo mode and was able to clear both my front and back yards and the drive way. I had to use both the batteries though. Having two batteries comes handy that way. As it is battery operated, it makes much less noise than a gas powered blower and the overall design is great so it always feels balanced in your hands and doesn't tire you out.
I haven't used the snow blower yet but I have a smaller (18") corded blower which has worked fine on the fresh snow up to 10-12". But the cord is always a hassle. This unit looks better built than that one and is wider, so I am sure I will get similar or better results without the hassles of managing the long cord.
Overall, I am so far happy with this combo as it makes the yard work easier.

Fantastic Leaf Blower; Snowblower Review to Follow

I have been using gas-powered leaf blowers for nearly 20 years, and about 10 years ago, I picked up a very nice unit that I have used exclusively for both large and small jobs. Small jobs include cleaning up grass clippings after mowing and leaf blowing at my primary residence (just over 1/3 acre). The large job is blowing leaves at my heavily wooded northern Michigan property (about 1 acre). Admittedly, I have been leery of battery powered leaf blowers because of their limited power and run time, but with the Greenworks Pro combo kit having an 80V system and coming with (2) 4.0 Amp-hour batteries, I figured I would give it a try. I’ve got to say, I’m super impressed.
For those not familiar with battery-powered lawn equipment, the voltage gives you the power, but the amp-hours of the battery dictate the run time. For example, an 80V tool will provide more power than a 40V tool, and a 4.0 Amp-hour battery will run twice as long (under the same power) as a 2.0 Amp-hour battery. So when considering a battery powered tool for your household, consider both the power and the runtime you need.
I had the leaf blower assembled in three minutes flat, and I run the leaf blower with the nozzle attachment 100% of the time. The unit is nicely balanced in the hand with the battery installed, and naturally takes a slightly down-pointed stance, which is great for blowing leaves and grass clippings. The trigger is also in a natural place for the index finger. The leaf blower provides variable power, based on the trigger input. For most jobs, I have the trigger maxed out 100% of the time, unless I’m blowing leaves off mulch, in which case I use a lower power. The innovative feature of a “cruise control” allows you to lock in the position of the trigger, which is really handy—what a great idea. There is also a “turbo” button. It does up the power of the leaf blower, but I found that I can get the same boost by holding the unit closer to the ground or just changing the angle I’m holding the unit. The “turbo” feature does drain the battery quite a bit more rapidly, so if you use it, use it sparingly.
For my smaller jobs, the Greenworks Pro leaf blower did a great job. I’m able to clean up the entire yard—front and back—on one battery. Without “turbo,” I get about 24 minutes of run-time. With sporadic use of the “turbo,” my runtime dropped to about 18 minutes. I was really impressed with how well the leaf blower performed, and it’s now my go-to for these jobs, while the gas-powered leaf blower sits idle.
Where I put the Greenworks leaf blower to the test was at my northern Michigan property. I’ve attached a video and some pictures, and about half-way through the video, you’ll see how much power this leaf blower has—moving large volumes of leaves easily and quickly. It undoubtedly has equivalent power to my gas-powered leaf blower. Cleaning the entire yard with my gas-powered leaf blower generally takes me about 90 minutes. It was the same for the Greenworks leaf blower—but, the two batteries lasted just under an hour—so I had to take a break waiting for the recharge. To expedite that, I placed the first battery on the charger while I used the second one. The batteries take about an hour to fully charge from empty, so the first battery was mostly charged by the time I was finished with the second battery. But I waited for it to finish so I could get the second battery on the charger and get the full run time from the first one. The charger does have a loud fan, but I was pleased with the short charging time. For this big job, the Greenworks leaf blower did an absolutely outstanding job.
Some other small notes are that the leaf blower is a little lighter and a bit quieter than my gas-powered leaf blower. I was not as tired after completing the job, and I could listen to news podcasts through my earbuds without issue while working.
At this time, all I can comment on regarding the snowblower is the assembly process. I had the snowblower assembled in about 15 minutes. The unit is much lighter and more maneuverable than my gas-powered snow blower. I will have to wait for Mother Nature to dump some snow before writing the full review of the snow blower. I really hoped to be just as impressed with the snow blower as I was the leaf blower. So look back later in the winter season for an amended review.

Great Combo Kit for Fall and Winter Yardwork
|
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
I live in a small condo building in the midwest, which mostly manages all the maintenance activities through owners in the building. This includes the fall and winter cleaning of the yard and sidewalks, and we have a lot of sidewalks as we are on the end of a block. I got the Greenworks Snow Blower and Handheld Blower combo kit to make the work a little bit easier. We already have an electric Lawnmower, so adding the Snow Blower and Handheld Blower to the building equipment will round it out and make the yard work that much easier. Even if the batteries on this run out quickly, this might save my back from days of pain after shoveling!
Pros:
- Easy to use and maintenance.
- 30mins to charge a battery.
- Relatively light weight.
Cons:
- Charge on batteries drains quick.
- Blades on snowblower are polymer.
The setup was very simple, I was able to put everything together without much effort or requiring the manual. The only tricky part was how to hook in the snowblowers chute control rod, as it passes through a part of the handle and into the back of the base. The rod goes into the base a lot further than you would think. The handheld blower just needs to have the tube and nozzle attached, then it’s good to go.
The Batteries come with a clear indicator on them for charge, which makes checking charge as easy as pushing a button. Both batteries arrived half charged, so I was able to test everything out without needing to charge the batteries. Charging is just as simple, slide the battery into the provided charging station and wait about 30mins. Seriously, the charge time of these batteries is great!
To get up and running with either the snowblower or handheld blower, just slide in a battery and go. It’s that simple, way less work or effort when compared to gas-powered equipment. I can’t wait to try the snow blower out this winter once we get some accumulated snow. While using the handheld blower for 15mins of full power use when it was around 50 degrees Fahrenheit out, I only drained half of the charge on a battery. The run time quoted is 30 mins, so even if each charge on a battery lasts only 25 mins of use, that would be amazing! Though, I’ve tempered my expectations knowing that batteries often perform worst as the temperature gets colder. Though with 2 batteries that can be charged in 30mins, I have little worry about downtime. It will give me a good reason to take a break between charges.
The Snowblower is very light, most likely due to the build materials being a plastic or polymer. The blade on this model is a type of Polymer (plastic), which I am interested in seeing how well it holds up with ice and rocks in the mix. There are two LED headlights that will help with visibility while in use, hopefully enough to avoid any large rocks. The chute rotates 180 degrees and has different height settings, which will be nice to avoid hitting any parked cars or the side of the building while throwing snow.
The Handheld blower is very powerful, even pushing pebbles and caked on dirt right off the ground. The trigger allows you to control the power, as full power is sometimes too much when it sends everything flying up and onto you.
This would be great for anyone who has other Greenworks 80V products, this bundle comes with two 4.0 Ah batteries and two tools. From what I’ve seen so far, these should work great for our needs around the building and the Snowblower will be a god send for my back this winter!

But if you want a heckova lot of help with that storm, or if you want to cut 9/10 off your normal driveway and sidewalk cleanup time, these machines are genius. Both are sturdy, more powerful than expected, and easy to use. The interchangeable batteries last and charge quickly.

The leaf blower is great. A little heavy, but it is strong and really does a great job. The snow blower works really well and is easy to assemble. With heavy snow 6" plus inches, it sometimes clogs, but is easy to clear out. You definitely need the 2 batteries if you have a decent size driveway. 3-4 inches it does a really good job. To be clear, this is closer to an electric shovel than it is a heavy duty snow blower. On heavy wet snow, it does get clogged, but a few knocks on the pavement and it usually clears up. It also is entirely plastic. That being said, we have already used it for several storms and it has done the jobs very adequately. It is a huge plus that it comes with two batteries in case the storm is big enough to need two. Although for each storm we have been able to blow two 4-car size driveways and the neighborhood sidewalk all on one battery. The batteries also charge in something like 15 minutes, so you could recharge during a storm if you had to. The fact it is small and made of plastic actually helps make it very portable and even able to put up on a shelf in the garage. We also have used the leaf blower for light fluffy storms and that works well too. Surprisingly, the leaf blower on turbo actually uses the battery faster than the snow blower. We got the package on a flash sale so definitely a great value for the price.

Snow Blower worked through ~2-3 inches of snow on my driveway with no problems at all (3-car garage driveway with 50-75 ft to the curb) along with the sidewalk. I was pleased that when I checked the battery after working through all of that with the quiet electric blower that it still had 2/4 battery life left. Way quieter than the old gas powered one I had before, no drama in starting it, and I don't smell like exhaust when I was done! The blower is powerful too but fairly loud when on full blast. Way louder than my old one, which is why I only give it 4/5.

I used the blower first and it excelled my expectations.
The snow blower I just used today for the first time with 3 inches of wet snow. All I have to say is WOW. I'm impressed.
One battery allowed me to do my patio, sidewalk, my neighbor's driveway, sidewalk and handicap ramp. I was all ready to grab the second battery, but did not have to. I will be buying more Greenworks products. The only thing I would suggest is having a little shovel like most snow blowers to clear the snow plugging due the sloppy snow. Which didn't happen that often.
