Great Savings versus New In Box

Was hesitant at first to buy refurb, but took a chance since I could save over $100 versus new in box. Glad I did! Received mower in great condition, looked new. They did stamp "RC" on the mower, I assume in means "reconditioned." Set up was easy on this mower and the performance is great, 80V has sufficient power to support my lawn. Great cutting options on the mower. Would definitely recommend to a friend and refurb is a great option to save a little $$.

Fast or slow it goes! I have a 1/4 acre yard with a bit of a grade and BAD root problem. It mows it just fine. The handle folds up with an easy tug which keeps it out of the way in my small garage. The batteries charge quickly and I've been able to mow my whole yard without a charge problem. I do run without the turbo on. I turned it on once and didn't see that big of a difference as I walk fairly slowly. On turtle mode it is almost too slow and I'm 60ish with questionable knees. I've only mowed once since I got it therefore, I can't speak on how well it holds up with heavy use. I watched LOTS of reviews on YouTube before I bought this one. So far, I am pleased. My normal lawn man is a truck driver. If it rains on the weekend I sometimes have to mow. I didn't want to deal with gas and oil so I could easily store it over the winter months. It is quiet. I think my weed wacker is louder.

This is a good mower, easy to use. Came with a dud battery but the company quickly replaced with another even better one. That's a risk you take buying refurbished, I guess. But the savings were worth it.

I've never had an electric mower before, but I love it. Our grass is thick, but the patch is small. I have to empty the bag a bunch, but it self propells as expected. Happy with the purchase.

Best price around, came in good condition. Add in an extra half size battery, and my quarter acre is mowed with just enough juice to make it back to the garage. The turbo function on it is really nice, too. I had been using the Kobalt brand (their cheapest models) and this is definitley an upgrade with the self-propel function. Would definitley recommend. I do wish they had bigger batteries available for purchase.

Hello Sawyer. Thank you for your wonderful review of the Greenworks 80V SP Mower. This unit has Dual Battery Ports to help extend your runtime by adding a second battery. The mower is compatible with Greenworks 80V batteries, 80V 5.0Ah Lithium-Ion Battery

In general I like the mower when everything works as expected, which should be all the time. Here's my problem, and perhaps warning to some... I bought this 'Refurbished' which, if I take the BB refurbished and quality checked word for it, things should be great. On the other hand, there is a reason they still only give you a 90 day warranty. I bought this in February. Keep in mind mowing doesn't really start in my area until May, maybe even June. By the time I find out after a couple of uses that my battery is bad, then I'm out of warranty. Well that's what happened. Bad 80V battery and nothing I can do. So saving money on a Refurb deal actually will cost me more because of the battery price.... The switchover on batteries wasn't working well, but that might be caused by the bad battery.

Hi BobbyM. Thank you for your post. We appreciate your feedback on refurbished and battery lifespan. The overall battery life is dependent on many factors such as where they have been stored, charged, and handled. The rate of degradation depends on how well the battery is maintained. In ideal conditions the battery has a charge and discharge cycle of up to 2000 and up to 1000 when used with a rapid charger. As this is a lithium-ion battery and does not degrade during storage. It will degrade with use over time like any other battery. The rate of degradation depends on how well the battery is maintained.

To ensure you receive the optimal performance from both the battery and charger, we can recommend the following maintenance steps/guidelines. When the battery is not in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. It is recommended to store the battery at a full charge, and if it is being stored for a period where no use is expected, to check on the charge every couple of months. If you notice the charge has dropped, we advise charging the battery back up to full before returning it to its safe storage place. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us directly. You can reach us via live chat, or give us a call at our toll-free helpline: 1-888-90-WORKS (1-888-909-6757) to speak with a live agent. We hope this information has been helpful! GreenworksTools

Hello amu23. We are sorry to hear you are unhappy with the weight and runtime you are getting from your Greenworks 80v SP mower. When using the self-propelled feature, it does make it easier to push and require less physical effort from the user, however self-propelled mower can be heavier than a push mower. Push mowers are naturally lighter than self-propelled models, and easy to use on flat lawns. However, they require more physical effort and may not be the best option for larger lawns or difficult terrain.
Battery runtimes can vary depending on a few factors, including but not limited to if the self-propel feature is used throughout the entire cut, grass texture and consistency, cutting height, and lawn size. It is unfortunate to read that you are looking to return the unit, if you wish to address your concerns directly with one of our product specialists first, please contact us by Live Chat through the customer contact page located on our website or call Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934 before returning to the store. We would like the opportunity to speak with you to see whether your run time would be considered average. GreenworksTools

This is the 3rd Greenworks mower I've purchased in 6 years, I was amazed at the power and heavy duty structure. I have 1.2 acres on a creek with steep grades and this workhorse has cut my mowing time in half. The steady self propel feature on the slopes have made it so much more safe. Pleasantly surprised with it's durability

    Wrong order

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

First of all, I did not receive the correct lawnmower that I was purchasing. As pictured only came with one battery. I received the lawnmower that had dual port charger with two batteries. Two different batteries. I should’ve received the (2) 4.0 Ah batteries. Also, did not receive the correct charger. I did call Best Buy to try to make this right and try to get matching batteries. The customer service line is a joke and they led me to believe that I was going to be receiving a new battery this Friday. Im going to tetun all my order and close my account. This is a joke! WOW! Do better!
