Customers are enthusiastic about the Black/Blue Survivor All-Terrain iPad case's excellent protection and secure fit. Many appreciate its ease of use and the grippy feel, while some find the weight and lack of a screen protector to be drawbacks. The case's sturdiness is frequently praised, although opinions vary on the quality of the stand and the overall price.

Sets the standard and turns your iPad into a tank!

Absolutely fantastic case. I love it. Fits snug to the iPad and provides a rubberized touch to the exterior. The built in screen protector works beautifully. It definitely gives you peace of mind. Before I had the case I felt like I was holding a brittle piece of glass that could break at any moment, now it feels like it could take a bullet and still keep running. While pricey, you definitely get what you pay for.

Overall this is an excellent product. It is basically an "OtterBox" for your IPAD. I did not like the screen cover that it has built in. It wasn't smudge or glare resistant. You can easily remove it with a hair dryer and some goo gone. Then you can install a Zagg Smudge cover on you IPAD and you are set. I Love it! With a little work and a Zagg, you will have a well protected, glare/smudge resistant IPAD.

This is a great iPad cover if you are looking for all around rugged protection. The integrated screen protection works great while still allowing for full touch screen functionality. But I do have several issues with this cover. I bought this for my son's iPad which is mostly used for movies, games and music both at home and traveling. The rubber covers for the headphone jack and charging port can be hard to open (even for my husband) and the power button and volume controls can be hard to find since the rubber covering them is so thick. Also, the rubber covering the round home button on the front of the iPad has a raised surface which means if you put your iPad in a backpack or other bag with books or items that will push up against it, the cover turns your screen on. Not so good for battery life. The detachable hard plastic stand is almost useless.

I brought my case home and had a hard time just taking it apart to be be able to put it on my IPAD (3). The vague instructions were inside the case that i couldn't open. After I finally pulled it apart I put it on my IPAD however like a previous review stated it did not fit snug like it should, we even cut a few plactic pieces off trying to make it fit ...no luck. After abour a week I decided to take it apart to clean the screen (on the inside which I found odd that it was dusty) when I put it back together I FINALLY realized I had the front cover (screen protector) on upside down. So it does fit the new IPAD. I love the case, i have a 6 year old who has butterfingers and this case eases my worries. GREAT CASE (once you

Its truly amazing and soft and I think it will outlive the IPAD2. I think it was a good investment and I truly love all the flaps and special features. My kids like to hold it and my peace of mind rests with this velvety cover. THANKS

we baught this case for my son's Ipad. It was kind of expensive but I do have to say it does a great job of protecting his Ipad. There is a screen protector built in, edges are rubber to protect it from falls, and has covers that open for all the ports to protect from dust and moisture. The rubber edge also gives you a better grip when using to video, etc. We just took this on vacation & I was definately impressed by it. We are very happy with this product.

This case is awesome. We bough an iPad 2 for the family to use and needed something to protect it. My wife is a nurse and uses it at work and we have an 11 month old that loves to play with it. Well, after 5 months of abuse, it's held up and protected the iPad nicely. It's been knocked off the table onto the hardwood floor multiple times, our 11 month old loves to drool on it and spill any drink nearby on it.
There were some reviews that knocked the protective screens durability, we have not had any issues with it scratching. My wife throws in in her backpack, the baby drags toys across it, we've also found out that out cat loves playing with it as well, so throw cat claws into the mix.
Overall a great case for protecting your investment. The only complaint I have at all is the speaker cover on the back doesn't always stay open. Besides that, it's a great baby and cat tested and approved case.

This is a great case if protection is what you want, although its not the most stylish compared to other cases. I've taken my iPad many places and its still in perfect condition.

Great product in general

This is a great product overall. It protects the iPad from virtually anything (save dropping it in water; don't try that). Be warned, it does take some time to get on and off. You may be convinced it doesn't fit your generation iPad (like I was) until you figure out how to get it on properly. The screen also scratches pretty easily, so you may also need to keep it in a carrying bag or something of the sort. The screen cover does not affect the sensitivity too much, but it DOES create a warping visual effect due to the space between the two screens that can get annoying at times. No matter how many times you take the cover off and clean it perfectly, you will still get little pieces of dust under the screen (and I have absolutely no idea how).
TL;DR - good product in general. Not 100% perfect, but worth getting. A bit pricey so do your research before committing.

This is a very rugged case and fits with good precision. It protects the iPad from more than drops: mist, sand, scratches too. For the road warrior! Designed to military specs according to the package.

The case has done a good job keeping my iPad2 safe from my 3 and 7 year old kids. The buttons are easily accessible and it was pretty easy to install the case. The only issue I have with this case is the stand. It does not work well as my iPad kept falling when my kids were using it so we stopped using it.

The iPad is also used by a toddler who loves to kiss Elmo on the screen, this protector saves the screen and the extra protection on the corners allows the iPad to survive the accidental drops. Easy to put on the iPad and easy to remove.

Bought a case for each of our iPads in our fire trucks and they hold up like none other. They are so great I bought the same case for my iPhone which I dropped from the top of a ladder 2 days after I got it. After falling 10 feet onto concrete there was not a mark on it.
The Griffin iPad cases are strong, sturdy, easy to clean, and have the thick screen protector that does not inhibit use. It is a fantastic product.

I bought this item because I work in construction and I needed my Ipad to be protected. I make the Ipad not so sexy but manly. Also when the kids play with it at home I am not worried about them dropping it and messing it up. The only think i did not like is there is a cover that goes over the camera and it does not like to stay open so it makes it hard to take pictures. I just cut the little flap off and no more problem. I would recomend this product to anyone that is afraid to damage there Ipad.

Definitely adds some bulk to the otherwise spindly pad. Would be nice if the little flappy covers for the camera and speakers would actually stay open and not pop out of their holders. Makes taking pictures a pain in the when trying to hold little flap out of the way manualy and shoot a photo. Not sure I would trust the seal of the flappy covers for submersion in fluid but have not failed in foul weather. Love the flip out stand would be nice if it worked on portrait as well as land scape orientation of pad. Have dropped protected pad from a couple feet onto gravel and concrete a couple times with no ill effect so far.. . . . makes it possible for My Ipad to be the primary media tool on ADV motorbike treks.

We purchased this case and are giving it out ultimate stress test, putting it in the hands of a 18 month old baby. The case is very rugged and has helped the iPad 2 survive many bumps, drops, and the occasional spill.
the feature we liked most is the screen cover is not flimsy vinyl, but a tough plastic which doesn't look like bubbles on the screen.
the only drawbacks about this case are that it doubles the weight of the iPad 2, ad the port covers can easily be ripped off.
if you are looking for a tough and rugged iPad case don't get the otterbox, get this one.

Great case, poor stand design...

The case is masculine, rugged and durable, all pros! Unfortunately the stand is VERY DIFFICULT to pop out as it's snapped in tight, and kind of precarious. It's fine sitting still, but if it gets tapped even the slightest bit on the top, the iPad will fall over. This is probably because even tho the stand is made of plastic for the most part, the tips of the stand are made of flimsy rubber. All in all, I bought it for the case, and not the stand, so it does what I wanted.
