    whole bunch of mess

I bought two in the past year, (becuase theyve gotten stolen) but they both went missing around the time they stopped working good. which is about 4 months. The problems i had with it include: static.... i had to manuvuer the ipod in the right position for it not to be static filled, or jsut to sound good. Also if i pulled it out while the Ipod was still in use, and tried pluging it back in, it wouldnt work. Through time it got worse and worse. The only advantage compared to other fm transmitters is that its portable, so its not jsut for your car, and that the usb port allowed me to use my cellphone charger as a ipod charger. Otherwise, its more worth it to buy another one.

    Poor Investment for Outloud Tunes

I received this transmitter as a Christmas gift last year. It seems like a great, innovative way to hear your favorite tunes while hitting the road. We all are warned that having earphones while walking down the street or driving can be a hazard so it seemed like a great solution to the problem. However, this product, when used, does generate a large amount of static which makes it difficult to hear your music clearly. It also completely drained my iPod Nano of all it's battery power within 2 songs. It doesn't come with any connection that helps charge your battery while listening to your static-filled tunes. So, in short, no bang for your buck here.

So are you supposed to scratch your iPod when trying to fit it into the holder? I have a new 80gb Classic and it doesn't fit. Then when you get it in and connect it, the amount of static is ridiculous. My 12v plug is right next to the radio, but still no good reception on any channel and then the thing is so heavy, it's useless if your 12v plug is vertical, as it starts to pull the plug from the dashboard... One other point, is the charging light supposed to flicker red when it's charging? And why is the light on the Road Trip screen so bright? It's too distracting for night driving.

I bought this product a year ago and have loved it ever since!! It really does depend on your car and radio if it will work great. If you have a newer car, it will prob work great, if it is older, then maybe not so much. I have a Mazda Rx-8 and it works perfect, so static at all, except if I pass someone with an iTrip too. In my older firebird, the reception is good, but not perfect like in the Rx-8. Great product if you have a newer car!! I also went to a bon fire and parked 3 cars next to each other and they all 3 played it, it was great!!

I finally found the perfect transmitter after returning so many of different kinds. The quality is so clear and not much static at all, of course its not cd quality but thats how it goes with all transmitters, but i am so happy i decided to go with this transmitter I highly recommend this transmitter over those that fit into the 12v outlets, no hassle at all! I haven't tried it on a long trip yet so not sure about that but from the looks of it its gonna be great for vactation.

    Awful Product

If you live in a reasonably sizable city, this product is terrible because chances are you can't find an unused station for the iTrip to work. So, you constantly hear static over your music. Also, if you like to travel, the iTrip is NOT for you. While driving, you have to continuously search for a channel to make your iTrip work. Considering how dangerous it is to drive and do other things, this is a hazardous product.

I love the Itrip transmitter! It works great no matter where I am in town. The only bad part is that I have to store it above my sun visor because if I put it anywhere else, I get static.... Small problem. When I keep it above the visor, I get crystal clear reception. Also, it's great because it's wireless. No worrying about plugging into the cassette player or anything like that. Highly recommended

i love to listen to my music while driving and the ITrip is really easy to use and its wireless so i dont have to hassel with all those wires or waste out the power from my car battery the only thing i have a problem with is that i have to hold it while driving otherwise it gets really staticy and who really wants to listen to music with static

well i bought an itrip for my car and it was really really bad!!!! but then i tried it in a friends car and it worked fine! so basically it depends on the kind of radio you have and the make of the car! some work and some don't! i like the convenience of it but the quality is terrible in my car!

I bought this because it looked like it would be a good product. However, I was wrong. Everytime the ipod moved a little bit or the wind blew, there was very loud static coming through the speakers. Even on stations that were quiet, the static still came through the speakers. Do not buy this.

    Decent FM Transmitter

The only problem I have with it, is the signal strength. When ever I pass by a car or truck with a Satellite receiver, that transmits FM waves, it overpowers the iPod transmitter, and I get a blend of music. It can be frustrating, but if it's music you want, this is one way to get it.

It was one of the best birthday gifts. I plug it into my car and sit my ipod on it and Im good to go. I do a lot of traveling and my CD player is broken so it was a life saver. Who wants to keep putting Cds in and out.. get an Ipod and iTrip and it makes life easier.

I just bought the product today. It was a good idea..small and sleek but WAY TOO MUCH static. Not worth the price at all. Spend a few extra dollars and get a better product. I will be returning mine tomorrow.

I PURCHASED THIS SO I COULD LISTEN TO MY FAVORITE MUSIC IN MY CAR BUT THERE IS SO MUCH STATIC THAT I WOULD RATHER JUST USE MY HEAD PHONES. THE IDEA IS GREAT BUT IS NOT WHAT IT IS ADVERTISED.

This is great for when you use in the car and if you leave your ipod with itrip above your home stereo but it does not get farther than a few feet. But overall it works well.

If you want to hear your music in your car, this works pretty well. The only problem is that you will get static from time to time. Overall, pleased with it.
