The case fits perfectly with the new Gen 5 iTouch units. I thoroughly enjoy having it on for protection. It also protects the face. IMHO, I have found the protection screens to be too pricey and not able to be placed on the units without numerous bubbles.

Its a good case with a rubber outside and a plastic hard case on the inside. very little damage to my Ipod I got it on sale for 7$ so im happy with it.

This item work very well for protecting the I-Pod Touch when it was dropped. no damage at all

I was hoping for a more secure and stronger case, but what I feel I got was something that looked strong and secure. The "true" protector here is a piece of plastic (that seems to be an everyday plastic that would easily crack when dropped) covered by a silicone(rubber?) body that collects every piece of lint, crumb and dust in your pocket, and doesn't let it go until scraped off. Sure this case seems like it will protect against scratches, but I don't feel it will greatly protect against screen cracks from dropping on hard surfaces. If iI were to drop this on the street, I would definitely be afraid that it just broke. I also feel like the rubber case will lose its elasticity and start to bulge or distort, making it a pain to take out of your pocket. On the bright side, it doesn't interfere with my ZAGG screen protector, which is one reason why I Bought this. The plastic part doesn't come up over the screen on the iPod and the silicon/rubber part is about a centimeter beyond the edge of the screen protector, leaving the screen protector alone. It also leaves plenty of room for both cameras, flash and the headphone jack (i used a splitter for headphones which is big, but it fits well) and charge port.

I purchased this case for my young son's iPod to protect it. Works perfectly.
