    Works Supriingly Well

After reading several reviews about how much static people were experiencing with this unit I was hesitant to buy it for my son. We took a chance and it paid off. The first frequency we tried (default 88.1 MHz) did produce static but we bumped it up a little to 88.5 MHz and the sound was crystal clear using an Alpine CDA-9827. The sound was good even when I was sitting in the passenger seat about 2 feet away from the stereo. You need to experiment and find three frequencies that are clear on your stereo and preset them into this transmitter. This is a remarkable little unit that plugs directly into an iPod, without removing the case. It is small and compact and operates by using your iPod's power. Well worth the $50 I paid for it.

I bought this for my iPod nano(1st gen) to use in my mom's 89 accord. Easy to set up. Small great size. Convinient to carry around. Just bought an iPod classic about 3 days ago and its compatible. It does pick up a lot of static. Probably have to be within 6" of radio to get decent sound, at best. Most people Im assuming have their iPod's in cases, so this transmitter might not fit all the way in without having to take off the case, which is the case with my iPod classic. Another let down is that its wireless so that means your iPod's battery is being used. Not so great for long trips. It is a nice little gadget but I would suggest something else that will charge your iPod as you use it and better sound quality.

I don't want to be the one to ruin this product for everyone but I bought this because I read everyone's review, it is ok, it's small, it took me forever to get a good station, and with all the station it gives you, mine only works good around the 88.1 - 88.9, so the rest of the station are useless. There was so much static i was about to plunge my car into the water, but after awhile it was going pretty good, still static, but better than the first time, I'm pretty disappointed. I got this for 55 dollars and I expect it to at least overpower my 15 dollars FM transmitter from marshall, it has a wire too! I guess i would recommend it to a friend.

I originally purchased a different iTrip product and had a horrible time finding a station that would play without excessive static. After one day and wanting to pitch it out the window I returned it and purchased this one instead. Not only did this product match my silver iPod Nano PERFECTLY, but it's very tiny and is the same size as the iPod! It has the clearest, most STATIC-FREE sound I have ever heard from a FM transmitter! If you are having trouble finding a good station, anything between 88.1-90.1 seems to work best for me (the lower the better.) This little thing is great and I would recommend it to anyone.

I am very happy with my purchase after much research on transmitters. This is small, inconspicuous, extremely easy to use, and looks great with my iPod Nano. It has dozens of channels to choose from, with 3 preset buttons. Sound for the most part has been very clear as long as you keep it close to the radio. I get some static when driving by radio towers and big power lines, but otherwise no problems so far. Cons: It powers from your iPod so you may want to pick-up a car charger for longer drives.

I bought the iTrip when my fiance and I were getting ready to go on a road trip a few hours away and I have a cd changer in my trunk so we don't like having to change cd's so often. We figured if we get this then we can just use our iPod's and it was the best idea we had for the whole road trip. We just put them on shuffle and away we went! You have to get this thing for your iPod!!

It's easy to use, does what it's supposed to do, fits in my handbag...and it's the best looking of all the similar products. The old itrip for the regular ipod required the installation of software; this doesn't. This was truly plug n' play. The sound is impeccably clear on my radio. Love it. The only drawback I've found is that it can't be plugged in to charge while using the transmitter.

Not for Charlotte NC, Extremely poor!

Just bought this, tested it right there in the parking lot here in Charlotte NC, didn't worth a thing, scanned each frequency manually slowly twice, very poor sound quality and full of static. I returned it within 3 minutes right there on the spot. I think I give up on all these FM Transmitters! Was trying to use this in my 09 Nissan Truck! This is my third review on these transmitters!

There are several ipods at my house. This one looks the best on a nano of course, but it works fine with my touch and my son's video ipod. i have owned other models of these things, but this one has extremely simple controls and a nice large display. this would be a good one for somebody who has not used an itrip before. the sounds is about as good as the itrip i had before.

It works perfect when it is not static. I have begun to realized if you hold your finger or anything on the back most of the static goes away. Also, the 3 presets don't work well at all where i live. My friend has the older iTrip and when he took it into my car it worked fine but this one won't work nearly as well. Lastly, IT IS WAY TO STATIC!

My husband bought this for my ipod nano. It works better than the other kinds my friends have. On a long trip it's easy to find an available radio frequency. I've had mine for one year and have found no problems with it so far. My husband wants one for himself, so I'm ordering our second one.

I loved this product and it worked wonders for me for the longest time until it broke due to the cold weather. If you purchase it, make sure you do not leave in in the car when it's cold outside-big mistake! Everything else about it is great though!

I thought this was a great deal for the price. However when I got it to the car I couldn't hear anything unless I cranked up the stereo to max volume. Once I started moving the static came and I couldn't hear anything at all.

My itrip was very helpful i dont have a ipod hookup in my car. So, before i had the itrip i would have to wear the ear buds, but when my cellphone rang i couldn't hear it and that caused problems.
