I suppose I should have known better to buy these when I saw that the silicone bits seemed to have poorly cut edges, but other than that they seemed alright. Being an artist, the packaging also lured me in. Well, I tried them out and was horribly disappointed. At least the product description on the back was accurate: "crisp, clear highs and powerful bass.." But unfortunately, the midtones were completely muddled. After a few minutes of listening to Lateralus at an average volume, my ears started to get fatigued. Every time Maynard pronounced an "s" or Danny hit a cymbal, it worsened considerably. The bass was on an unnecessary rampage, making a mess of the song just about everywhere. Not only was the sound quality lacking, but the design leaves something to be desired. I tried them on with the default buds, and they fit alright, but they created like a vacuum in my ears that was uncomfortable for a few seconds. When I pulled them out to readjust, the buds came right out, leaving the silicone heads in my ears! Upon a close inspection, there was very little holding them to the bud. A tiny ridge that basically did nothing. If I were going to keep these, I'd have to glue the heads on or else the slightest tug would pull them off and I'd lose them right away. I bought this $26 trash to replace an old pair of $13 skullcandy buds that recently lost a head, and those were FAR better in quality than these. I wouldn't buy these if they were ten bucks. Not recommended.

It doesn't take long to realize these ear buds are terrible. The sound is tinny and it's not capable of producing decent base. They went overboard on the silicone, by using it to cover the cord too. This causes two problems. First, you'll find the cord sticks to everything. If you move your head around, the cord will stick to something on your jacket, neck, shirt, bag -- anything, causing the ear bud to pull out of your ear. If you happen to drop your arm and hit the cord, the same thing will happen. The cord will stick to your arm, ripping the headphones out of your head. Now, imagine when the cord has a knot in it...how difficult do you think it would be to remove the knot? It's a pain, and unnecessarily so. Where's the product development? It should either be covered with fabric or non-tacky plastic. Aside from the tacky cord, I also discovered the earbuds do not stay put, unless you are sitting still, defeating the purpose of using a portable device. If you're walking down the street you'll find they eventually slip out, regardless of the additional attachments offered. This may have to do with the size of the phones themselves. They are too large, too heavy, and sit on the outer part of the ear.

These are a decent pair of headphones, with good bass but despite the fact that it comes with 3 ear bud inserts, none seemed to fit my inner ear. They were all too big or too small and would fall out of my ears. Definitely not a good pair to use at the gym. Also, the smaller ones feel like they go too far into the ear canal.

These headphones didn't work out of the box. I could hear static and distortion the first time I listened to my music. Also, the squishy cover for the left earbud did not fit properly and easily fell off the speaker. Don't buy these.
