Pretty sub-average
PostedI've been a huge fan of BLS since the beginning. I have every album Zach Wylde has done, solo, with Ozzy, BLS and Pride and Glory. His last 5 albums though have been going down hill. The music is rushed and boring. The production was just ok. The lyrics are terrible. The lyrics sound like he put all his songs in a bag, shook them up, only a little, then drew out random words. They're bad... I traded this CD in today... I've never traded in a CD before in my life.

Mediocre Black Label Offering
PostedI've been a BLS fan since its inception in 1998. Zakk and crew have delivered some amazing albums and songs throughout the years. I was disappointed with this offering. Coming off his recent Zakk Sabbath tour, Grimmest Hits has the sounds of a doomy, Black Sabbath tribute band mixed with a some softer songs with the feel of his last live album/DVD Unblackened. In my opinion, there is nothing on here that stands out.

Another great album
PostedZakk Wylde is sober and writing/playing better than ever. If you loved BLS before, then you will love this album. Also not to be missed is the drumming of Jeff Fabb. Finally, BLS has an excellent drummer. This element has been sorely missing in the band since the beginning. Jeff actually plays the drums and doesn't just bash them the way previous BLS drummers have done. A heavy, yet very nuanced performance.

Zakk Does What He Does
PostedZakk Wylde's latest BLS album is chock full of everything you'd want in a BLS album. Chunky riffs, pinch harmonics, Ozzy-like howl, rockers and some somber piano and acoustic moments. This probably won't win over any new fans, but it also won't disappoint the old ones. If you're a fan, you know what you're getting here. And despite the weird title, it's NOT a hits compilation. It's all new material.

Sober and killer!
PostedZakk Wylde sober is better than ever on this second album since being completely sober. Killer riffs, incredible guitar solos and Jeff Fabb on drums who has proven to be the best BLS drummer in the bands history. They have never really had a drummer before. Always a basher with little nuance or flavor. Terrific album!

BLS does it again
PostedThis is a good CD. If you like Zakk Wylde's Book Of Shadows II you will like this CD. It is not a disc of previous hits it's fresh with new music. I like the mellow humble side of an artist which makes this a good choice. Happy to have made the choice to purchase this CD.

Not the same B.L.S...... so sad
PostedThe band was great but something happened after Mafia.... This is another slower CD with a huge solo in EVERY song... We all know Zakk rules on the 6 string demon but we don't need super long solos everywhere... It all sounds the same after a few songs.... Boring CD

black label quality.
Postedbls sounding like bls. some very sabbathy tunes, with one or two slow ones, a good mix and it sounds fresh, better than the last couple that kind of fell into the same rut. bls fan or not if you like rock give this one a spin.

Hot diggety dog!!!
PostedThe Cd is like my camera, it goes everywhere I go! The Cd features a roller coaster of modern metal and Black Sabbath era smoothness. It's a joy to listen to! I can't wait to see them do this music in concert.

Black Sabbath First Albums
PostedThis is great music, if you like Black Sabbath first few albums you will like this sound. Singing is not like Ozzy, but good enough and his own style. I like it a lot and highly recommend it.

Ok cd
PostedThe new Black Label Society cd is definitely not a heavy rock. It is a very mellow cd. I was hoping for a heavy cd.If you like Book of Shadows you will love this album.

Good listening
PostedThis album falls somewhere between Hangover Music Vol IV and Zakk Wylde’s solo work in tone. No screaming, just quality hard rock.

BLS
PostedGrimmest hits is not what it appears, hits. It is an album of all new songs in the usual BLS vein and nothing over the top.Good but not great.

PostedAnother excellent release from Zakk Wylde and friends. Heavy and melodic. A great follow-up to the last album. Highly recommended.

Zakk Sabbath
PostedZakk is back and channels some Sabbath on this one. Also gets a little bluesy this time around. Overall, a very solid album.

Awesome!
PostedClassic Black Label Society! I wouldn't expect anything less from Zakk Wylde on the vocals and guitar. He kills it everytime!
