I have used H&R Block tax software since the late 1990’s. I chose them over competitors due to price and the fact that they have a national established presence as an accounting firm. While I realize some folks accounting situation may be much more complex, mine is pretty straight forward. I never truly felt the need for a tax professional to help me navigate a complex tax return. And thus this software is a simple affordable solution that I have successfully used for over 2 decades. It has an easy to use question and answer format and can even automatically download forms if your brokerage firm or other financial organizations allow for online transfer of the data. The software then fills the forms such as 1099s for you with the data provided directly through your financial organization. You do need to have an online account set up with the financial firm already for this feature to work. The question and answer format is easy to understand, moves step by step guiding you through what form you need such as your W-2 and easy to fill in the information. The software automatically calculates and determines where the information needs to go and what IRS forms to use. At any time you can pull up the actual IRS form the program has prepared to review it. Wrap up is simple and e-file goes smoothly in my experience. Overall great product.

Download was quick and painless. Once installed, it automatically updated the forms and other data. Since I used the software last year, it automatically imported my information and all I needed to modify was the income and taxes withheld. I was done with our taxes in about 30 minutes and electronically filed in no time. Highly recommended.

Product is user friendly as it provides input steps a guide to completing your taxes. It suggests multiple forms to consider, has prompts for questions & validation, and updates regularly based on new information from the IRS. H&R Block also provides 5 free e-files and comes with H&R Block worry free assistance!

This software makes taxes so much easier. I have been buying the HR Block tax software for decades. I would recommend only get the level you need, no more but also no less, and buy it on sale.

I've used H&R Block software for years to do my taxes. It is easy to use and walks you through the whole process with the questions it asks, explaining things as needed. This year's version is no different. This version does not include a state return, but since I live in a state with no state income tax all I need is the Federal stuff.

I am a return purchaser of this program. It automatically uploads last years tax return, making it easier to complete current taxes. Automatically audits return before submission. Also files taxes electronically, at no additional cost. Got my return in three weeks!

This tax software was affordable, easy to download and install. Very simple to enter all my tax information and get a good return. Free e-file makes it even better. I've been using H&R Block for years and will continue to do so.
