Great Tax Return Software for a beginner. Great price for the software.

Easy to follow instructions. Great Software and Good Price!

Works well. Imports data from previous years return. eFile works nicely.

I have used turbo tax and this H and R program. I like them both for different reasons but the H and R is less intimidating to use. Instructions are clearer and the program organization wad easier to follow.

I've used H&R Block software for many years. It's easy to use and I trust the accuracy and support I get.

There are basically 2 popular options, HR Block and Turbotax. HR Block is much less expensive, so I go with that, as they both work well, but I'll go with this one and save some money. And the actual program is much more comprehensive than the free options, which are quite limited.

I am a long time user of Turbo Tax and this was the first year that I decided to try something different. Turbo Tax made that unforegivable move to remove some of the forms I needed from the already expensive Deluxe version into the the even more expensive Premium version. Don't you just hate it when they do that. So out of frustrastion, I decided to try H&R Block Deluxe. It contained all the forms I needed, 5 free federal e-files, and a free state, at about half the price. While not as extensive in its detail during the process, I found it very similar and very easy to navigate. Also, I expeirienced no difficulty in transfering last years return (from turbo tax) into this program. It was a little confusing at the end when it was time to save and print your return. I never had those problems with Turbo Tax. Bottom line is whether your someone who has used other tax sofware or your a first timer, this is a great alternative to the more expensive one.

If you have been using H&R Block Tax Prep software regularly as I have, you know that it is a great time saver since it imports all your personal info and previous year's entries into your new return. The only thing I don't like is that there may be some forms that are not automatically calculated and prepared by the software. This is especially true for me in the instance of PA State forms.

I have used this tax program for years. Easy to use and the price is excellent; cheaper than the other one. I trust the company and that the program will be accurate and correct per updated tax laws.

I have been an H&R Tax software user since its earliest days. It is an easy to use, intuitive tool that does a great job of walking through preparing the annual return. Built in tools for deductions is a great asset. I wish the integration with State software was bit better, but still a great package.

I've used this program for years and it always make the chore of taxes bearable. Cost is less than the other program and works just as good. Easily import last year's data from either program.

I've been using H&R Block Tax software (formerly Tax Cut) for many years. It offers all the abilities of TurboTax at a much better price. The interview process is straight forward, and it covers all the necessary items. Easy to use and accurate.

I use the current version every year and it gets easier every year. The current years version imports all the common information and all I have to do is answer some simple questions and appropriate items, questions and forms just appear. I used to research all the IRS information and hope I covered everything and used the correct forms. This program cuts out over half the effort and time I used to spend when I just downloaded forms and instructions from the IRS website. This program is from what is probably the most iconic tax filing resource. It is also the best value compared to the other alternatives. Especially since they offer discount incentives to past users.

I've used this program and its predecessor for years, and have never been disappointed. It's price, interface, and seamless importation of the prior years data make doing my taxes as painless as possible. It allows you to run different scenarios to determine your optimal return and helps you plan for the next tax year after you finish up. And it makes electronically filing simple, with free e-filing of the Federal return. My only "quibble" is you have to pay to file the State return. An excellent program for the money.

been using this for at least 10 years (prior to HR Block acquiring Tax Cut). very easy to use but this year no automated way to import financial data from merrill lynch. that makes it a huge negative. but, there is a free web download from easytxf.com. do not pay for other options!! it works quick and easy. that being said, HR Block should have already developed the functionality without the user having to find it. it's not a problem if you don't have capital gains/losses buys and sells to report on your taxes.

Bought this software for the first time, did just as good a job as Turbo Tax and for half the cost. Not as user-friendly as Turbo Tax, but as long as you know what you are looking for, you should be good to go.

I have used this tax software for years and appreciate that it imports the previous year's information. That is a big time-saver. It is easy to follow along with the questions and easy to research topics.

I previously used Turbo Tax programs and H&R Block. The 2016 H&R Block program has improved over past years and I liked it better than Turbo Tax. It is a very good tax program and I will use it again.

I have been using taxcut software for a few years, the price is always a lot more reasonable than Turbo Tax. This year I was also able to import my w2 directly as my employer showed up in its database. All mutual funds tax ducuments are also importable, therefore little information needs to be entered by hand. The only annoyance is that you won't be able to import last year information if you did tax directly on the website instead of using the software last year, as a result I have to renter all personal information again. I hope H & R will fix it, minus one star for this flaw.

The product was easy to install and a reasonable price. For something so critical as taxes, I wish I had a little tutorial before clicking and entering information. To the average person, the boxes might seem straight forward, but I had a lot of questions about odd stuff. I didn't contact anyone because this year was a trial run. I was worried when I was done if the final click would send it to the IRS or if I had one last chance to look at it before sending. I am leery about the whole thing. If you feel confident about your taxes, it should be a breeze, very straight forward.
