    I have used H&R Block for years and have never experienced any issues. You do need to pay close attention to the interview questions and make sure you answer them correctly.

    The software works OK, but it did not contain the state program as advertised. It took a long time on the phone with H&R Block to get a state program that should have been a part of the software. The software asked an extra $39.95 for a state program. Considering competitors for next tax season after 15 years of using H&R Block.

  • They had two years to fix the software

    I’ve used this software for at least 20 years. However, in 2023 they created an issue in the Other Income 1099 MISC portion of the software where they grayed out the block needed to report royalty income. despite numerous interactions with their tech staff, they didn’t fix the issue and in fact carried it over to the 2024 tax software. I have again interacted with their tech folks but, as of yet, not seen any fix for this problem. Until this problem is fixed, this software is useless to anyone who needs that section to complete their taxes. Once fixed, this software has historically been a 5 rating. But as is, it is an abject failure only worthy of a 1.
