I've used this program since it was known as Kiplinger Tax Cut and available through the Kiplinger Newsletter. After H&R bought the company I was concerned how it would change but I've been very happy with the product. I've used it for personal returns, business returns and nonprofits. Very robust, very easy to use and follow, highly recommend this software.

This program is not very user friendly, and the interview format is cumbersome with full of extraneous questions. The instructions are at best limited, so if you make a mistake it is impossible to correct and might need to start over from the beginning. At the end, I had to consult with a tax professional to double check the calculations. Buyers, it is hit or miss that this software will work for you with ease or not. No Mac version available.

I have been using this for several years. I really like that it remembers the information from the previous years filing. Allows you to submit 5 personal returns for free. I needed this version to file a 990 for a not for profit.

We purchase H&R block specifically because it handles non-profit tax filings. Also used to handle some family estate returns. Neither handled by other software packages we've reviewed. Thanks H&R Block!

I used it to do the taxes for an S Corporation and our personal federal and North Carolina taxes. I have used it for the past few years because I found that the business tax software is better than TurboTax. The only issue with the H&R Block software is with the error checking. It gives a list of errors, but it provides very little help on what needs to be done to correct the errors.

I find this tax software product easy to use. It makes preparing your tax return very easy, I highly recommend for anyone who prepares their own tax return, You just have to answer the prompts and the software does the rest.

Just as good as torbo tax and is less than half the price why pay for all torbo's advertising?

This by far has been the worst tax software I have ever used. There are 2 separate programs to install, one for personal and one for business. The 2 programs do not talk to each other at all. So you go along in the business software, fill in the data, then go to create an e-file file, and you get endless errors with no way to correct several of them. So you go to the handy website they advertise on the box for "Unlimited Expert Tax Advice" via online chat, good luck finding it. You call the 1-800 number and after navigating through their "Live Support" robot, you trick the voice activated robot into forwarding your call to a person, only to be told they are closed! They steer you to the community forum to get help from other frustrated customers. Then you start reading comments from others and there are software problems, calculation errors, e-file rejection issues, etc. So I go to the personal tax software and start entering my information there in hopes that an update will fix my business software issues soon, and just when I select I have self employment income aside from my W2, I all of a sudden owe $500, before I even entered any self employment income! I un-check the box that I have self employment income and I still owe $500, it doesn't re-calculate. Save yourself the headache, spring the extra $50 and get Turbo tax. I am returning this software to H&R Block, hopefully they will honor their "100% Satisfaction 60-Day Money-back Guarantee". I will be going back to Turbo tax for my taxes, sure it costs more and they nickle and dime you, but at least it works!

It was very easy to fill out the forms, the software guides you through all the forms and informs you about all the deductions you can get depending your situation. I recommend it.

Easy to use and has all the forms that I needed as a self employed person. More difficult to find particular sections particularly for new health care law and inputing 1095's if you need to correct or go back after first walk through.
