Halloween by John Carpenter and starring Jamie Lee Curtis! The Original Halloween was made in the 70s but it looks like a new movie today! Just BUY it!

Originally one of the best of the slasher genre when it first came out, it has held up very well, and is much more impactful (especially sound wise) in 4K HD.

What can one say about one of the most perfect films ever made? The 4K presentation is the best HALLOWEEN has looked. Do yourself a favor and buy it...again.

This movie changed my life back 1978. I admit I never thought 4k made much of a difference until now lol. The 4k made a big difference in my experience.

The original film was great, but the 4K version made it better. The story line is stil the same, but the quality of the picture makes it better.

Seeing Halloween for the first time in 4K was quite a treat. If you are a horror fan, then this is a must-own disc. Very satisfied with the price as well.

I just have to hear the musical score from this movie to send shivers up my spine. First of all, Halloween is one of my favorite movies. And any film, dated prior to the use of digital cameras, will have grain or have a certain dated look. But they've really gone back and cleaned up this print. I have never seen this movie look cleaner than it does now. But more than that, one of my favorite features is the audio commentary by John Carpenter and Jamie Lee Curtis. It really is fun listening to these two recap their experiences while making the film. I found it very amusing during moments when Ms. Curtis would say: "Look at that, John. That's scary. That's just scary!" And I got the feeling that she really did mean it. I think it's interesting that these two can look back on something they created 35 years ago, and critique from a more adult perspective. I also enjoyed the featurette "The Night She Came Home" which shows Jamie Lee Curtis attending her first convention. I really did like seeing her thoughts about fans, and their obsession over the Halloween franchise. Okay ... the gist of this is ... if you're a Halloween fan, you must positively, absolutely own this blu-ray edition. And even if you're not a fan, there's no better way to watch this movie than with this 35th Anniversary Edition. A definite recommend. Now stop reading and go buy it already!

Besides being a great classic film, you need to get this 4K version of the movie! The film looks better now than when the movie first hit theaters in the seventies! This particular film was mastered at 4K and the 4K blu-Ray was produced at the same resolution. Meaning, its output is in true 4K resolution without being upscaled. You would think this is normal for all 4K discs they make, right? We’ll have you ever watched a new 4K blu-ray of a movie you’ve seen on a regular (1080p) blu-ray and said to yourself, ‘the quality looks no better than the original blu-ray I bought a year ago. I was ripped off!” More explanation: A good number of 4K films aren’t ‘real’ in the sense that they are either mastered at 2K or at 1080p and then upscaled to a 4K Blu-ray and sold as such. Your player won’t have to do the upscaling because it’s already done on the 4K disc, but it’s the same difference, really. Those Fake 4K Blu-ray discs look nearly the same as watching a regular (HD, 1080p) Blu-Ray. The only thing that may make the ‘fake’ 4K disc look better is HDR, but in general this practice confuses consumers! Do a search for ‘fake 4k’ and go to the link listed as ‘Real Native 4K Or Fake Upscaled 4K’ for a huge listing of titles that will tell you if it’s a real or fake 4K disc. Anyway, this 4K Halloween title is the real deal!

Look, you've seen this movie and the countless sequels. This one is the original and best. I had to get it, I'm a fan of John Carpenter movies.

This is a near perfect transfer of the old 35mm negatives. Gorgeous color and the grain is non-intrusive. Definitely a recommend.

I love the new 4k movies, this one in particular. To me, having better picture quality makes the movie so much more intense!

this movie is a classic , how the Halloween started, and you will enjoy the suspense from the begin to the end .

When some older movies get remastered into the 4K it leaves a lot to be desired. This however is how it's done. Great movie.

This movie started a whole new genre of Horror films. It's a classic and I must have. The 4K format is beautiful.

Such a simple and straightforward story but one that really works. This 4K transfer makes the movie look better than ever.
