    I love this coffee maker!!

I needed a new programmable coffee maker to replace a much more expensive Frigidare unit that stopped brewing after a year and a couple of days. After looking at all of them online, I found this one. I liked it because the price was right ($45 or so), it keeps coffee warm (or hot) for up to 4 hours (or more if you reset it), and it's a dispenser rather than a coffee pot. I mostly don't care about the dispenser part except that the last cup of coffee doesn't get "fried" from sitting in a pot on a burner. The last cup is as good as the first. One of the best features with this coffee maker is that the coffee basket and the water/coffee container can be removed for easy day-to-day cleaning and for making coffee at counter level. After cleaning, I put both on the counter, fill the water container to the 12 cup level (12 cups max), then pour the water into the coffee maker at a much lower level than most coffee makers. It's far less awkward this way. Then I put the container back in place to receive the coffee when it's made. The coffee basket, with a paper filter (a wire mesh filter is available) takes 6 standard scoops for a full 12 cups. It can also be filled at counter level, then placed back in the coffee maker. Unlike other coffee makers, this prevents accidentally dumping coffee into the water reservoir. Yes, I've seen that happen and cleaning it out is a mess. When the coffee is brewed, it goes into the container that you poured the water into on the counter top, ready to easily dispense. My only "objection" is that when the coffee is done, there's only one quiet beep that can't easily be heard outside the kitchen. This may be a feature so as not to wake anyone else who's sleeping. Regardless, for regular coffee, it takes 10 minutes to brew. For "Bold" coffee it takes about 15 minutes. As for durability, I rated the coffee maker as excellent, but I've only had it for a couple of months and nothing has broken yet. Time will tell, I'm sure.

so, I bought this 8 months ago due to the positive reviews and design that seemed alot like the coffee maker at work. While it works, here are the irks I have with the design. 1. There is a 2 inch long metal strip inside the coffee tank that is responsible for keeping the coffee heated. After a brew or two, coffee will adhere to the heated metal and will need some elbow grease to get it off. Surrounding the metal are these plastic spikes (for no apparent reason) - which makes cleaning the metal strip more difficult than it needs to be. 2. The coffee tub itself is not insulated - its just plastic. Not even glass lining like the coffee maker at work or the glass pots like others. Deal breaker. 3. The height of the coffee spout makes it difficult for some thermos to fit in. So you are left with putting it in a regular mug, then transferring it to the thermos. 4. The spout is angled inwards, making it a tad more difficult If I had to do it over again, I'd probably go with the old fashion coffee pot. P.S. I think the plastic spikes around the metal strip are placed so that the coffee drips onto the spikes.

This coffee maker makes great tasting coffee. We find it very convenient that we no longer have to pour coffee the dispenser works great. At first the design will puzzle you if your used to conventional coffee makers but its relatively simple to operate. We purchased the 2 yr warranty since the price was so reasonable. The temperature of the coffee is perfect and you can make up to 12 cups that is kept warm up to 4 hours with no burnt taste. There is no plastic smell we simply followed set up instructions for cleaning and are very happy with this purchase. Consumer reports tested this unit and rated it highly. I fully agree and feel this was a great coffee maker at a great price. We use bunn filters for easy clean up.

    Great brew station

This Brew Station delivers. Your coffee is always hot (steaming hot) up to 4 hours, which is programmable. Coffe stregth adjustment. If you like iced coffee you have that option. No spill one cup dispensing. No need to clean a carafe or worrying about breaking one for that matter. Super easy to clean as well. There's only a couple of downfalls I can see is that you are still subjected to having to use paper filters. I would pefer a wire basket. No big deal though. And, the LED display is super bright. Turn off all the lights and you could navigate by it, incredible. Still a great buy!!

Reliable Workhorse of the Coffee Makers

We love this coffee maker, so much, that we own two of them. One we use everyday , and most of the time, it's on all day. It is a work horse. The fact that it does not burn the coffee while it stays hot and fresh for us, and it's programmable timer are two features we enjoy with this product. Once you get into the routine of preparing it the night before for the brew cycle, it is magnificent! We actually saved up or Reward Zone certificates from Best Buy to lower the price, which makes it a great value!! Even at the full price of $54.00, its reliability and durability is well worth it. We really do abuse our daily coffee pot. Past makers have been lucky to last a year in our house.

This is the third BrewStation that we have owned. The first one died after about ten years of service. We replaced it with another BrewStation Model: 48464. We returned the 48464 because the coffee was never hot enough, cooler than our original model, and the screw mounts in the bottom of the carafe made it difficult to clean. We replaced the 48464 with this model and are very pleased to have a great working BrewStation again. We have no complaints about this model other than the universal complaint that applies to all the coffee makers which is none of them have "hot" coffee. I am always popping my cup in the microwave for 30 seconds to get it hot enough for my liking. I hope this one lasts as long as our first BrewStation.

I was looking for a coffee maker that does not require a glass carafe, which can easily break, but also keeps coffee sufficiently warm after brewing. Thermal carafes do not seem to keep coffee hot enough. I did not want an individual K-cup type maker because I wanted to be able to brew coffee for my husband and guests all at once. Plus those individual cups can add up in price. This one fits the bill. The only down side is that I occasionally spill the water when I am pouring it into the maker. Also, the machine has a tall profile, so I have to pull it out from under the cabinet every time I add coffee and water. Otherwise, this machine is a great value for the price and I am very pleased with it.

I drink a pot every morning & usually don't care much for coffeemakers that continue heating after brewing, but when my old Cuisinart Grind & Brew (w/thermos) died recently, I picked up a Hamilton Beach Brew Station. I wasn't using the Grind & Brew blade grinder feature anymore, as I purchased a burr grinder a few years ago, but I loved the thermos. Have had the Brew Station for over a month & absolutely no complaints. Very simple design & easy cleanup. I have it programmed to keep warm for 2 hours & have not had a bitter cup - no worries about breaking decanters either! I haven't used the auto-brew cycle because I like freshly ground beans each morning.

Had to pick up at store. Boxes on two of first 6 were damaged - refused one and it was replaced. Went back to pick up another coffee maker - was offered the same damaged box - refused it. Was notified that my order was going to expire - discussed with counter person who was ordering it to come from another store that I couldn't have my order expire - I had 2 more on order besides this one. He said no problem - he had taken care of it. That left 3 that I needed to pick up. Went back to pick them up - the one from the other store was there, my order had expired and one more was in stock. So I got 2 of the 3, and have to reorder the third. Not very good customer service.

This thing isn't perfect, the fill mechanism isn't the greatest, but it's a great coffee maker. The fill thing is not a big deal and we have literally bought this same coffee maker 3x. We use the heck out of it to the point where the manufacturer's name is no longer visible. It works great, keeps your coffee warm for hours and we love the way it dispenses the coffee. No need to pick up a pot and pour/splash, just use the dispenser! Just recently bought one of these after having the previous one for about 7 years or so. It still worked, but it just got old and we wanted a new one.

    Great Upgrade From Previous Model

This was a replacement for a prior Brewstation. Have had this one about a month and we are very satisfied. Several improvements over the previous model. Upgraded controls with a bold brew setting, flexible warming timer and separate water container that requires no pouring--always potentially a mess. Our old one had what a number of reviewers experienced--after a fairly short time it leaked. Haven't had this one long enough to determine yet, but the design appears different enough that it may also have been corrected. Overall, extremely satisfied at this point.

    Goonotd coffee, not very handy

The coffee is good but it's too much trouble to make it. This coffee maker needs lots of room above it to open the lid, lift out the water container and then put it back in. The filter basket is dripping wet from the last brew, so when you take it out to refill it, there's water dripping off the basket. Making coffee is an operation. While carrying the thing, your dripping everywhere you go. I thought, maybe I'm too critical, give it a chance, then we had several friends over for New Years and they where all amazed at all trouble I had to go through to make coffee. If I can return it I will.

I really like this coffee maker. The coffee from it tastes great and never tastes burnt, no matter how long it's kept warm. (I did not purchase the optional filter). The removable basket to put water in is very easy to handle but I imagine it may be a bit difficult if you were going to try to fill it with a fridge water dispenser. It is quite tall - it won't fit in any of my cupboards although I have an old house and I guess that is to be expected. It is a good looking coffee maker (no yucky, crusty carafe) so it is ok on the counter.

    Better Than the Original

Bought this to replace my old Brewstation. This redesign addressed all the issues I had with the original Brewstation, but has some issues of its own. Don't over fill the water tank, the overflow will run out a vent slot in the back of the unit. The optional water filter does appear to fit correctly in its hole. After brewing, the unit continues to pop and hiss until the heater is switched off. This was so loud and annoying I have set the keep warm to 0. There is a lot of water on the under side of the brewing basket when removing it to refill.

This is my third try with a new brew station. First one overheated coffee if left for an hour, second one boiled the coffee in about 15 minutes. This one is a little better, but still overheats the coffee if left on for longer than 2 hours. I love the convenience of the brew station and ease of preparation of the coffee the night before so it’s ready when I get up. I had an older model I used for 8 years and loved it.

    Messyand lukewarm coffee

Purchased to replace older model which we loved. However, the "dispenser hole" is set to far back so 2 out of 3 times the coffee dribbles down either the back (even when the cup is held firmly against the back wall) or the side of the cup. poor design ( possibly because clock is on top instead of to the side) makes it messy to use. Also, no matter how you do the settings the coffee is only lukewarm.

We needed something that could replace our old coffee maker, but was similar to it. This machine was an upgrade from our old Hamilton Beach BrewStation, which started leaking towards the end, but still works. This new one is much better, but it's hard to tell if this one would leak after a few years. Otherwise, if you're a big coffee drinker and don't use the k-cup machines, I suggest this machine for your home or even office.

Suits our needs perfectly! Read that they tend to leak after a while and so bought the maintenance plan with it. Glad I did because this is my second one. Traded up from the 10 to the 12 cupper. Which was a good trade. Love not having a glass carafe To worry about. Easy to keep clean and makes great coffee. So far so good we’ll see how long this one lasts.

super great fantastic coffee maker.it is easy to use and no more carafe.I love the bright blue light at night I can go into the kitchen without turning on the light.Coffee is ready when I get up in the morning. The only thing I did was buy a water filter for it at a kitchen store but it does not work in my model even though it shows my model number on the filter box.I will have to do more research on it to get the right one.

Being the only coffe drinker (and sometimes have guests over) I bought thinking i will be able to make a 1 cup of coffee daily using the option 1-4 cups button. I thought I could choose 1 or 2 or 4 cups of coffee. They should just call it Minimum 4 cups coffee. The build quality is not the greatest but the price you cant ask for more and it was too big for my kitchen counter. So I returned it.
