If you’re looking for a good countertop filter system, I would not recommend this model at the current price. I say that because it’s not a reverse-osmosis filter system, so it can’t remove many of the contaminants from your water that a reverse-osmosis system will be able to remove. These days there are many countertop reverse-osmosis filter systems on the market, and many are in the $200 range, about the same price as this system. So although this system will definitely improve the taste and smell of your water (Just like a traditional Brita pitcher will), it’s not a very good value for what you get.
