I will be returning this item. First problem is with the uneven heating due to the double decker heating elements. One side burns while the other is not baked. Second, the lights do not reflect that the waffle is done. You have to do the “watch and wait “ method. Third is the plate retainer no longer works after 5th time I used it.

girlfriend wanted one for the grandkids and they wanted the round waffles, they like that it flips when they help her make them, so far all good.

Makes good waffles- if you're lucky enough to get them out of the machine. We started oiling the plates between every waffle, helped slightly.

The removable nonstick plates aren't deep enough to make deep waffles. The waffle would be flimsy, not normal.

Although it made great waffles, the product itself broke apart easily. The clips that hold the plates in place broke off really fast after a few uses.

Most important is that the waffles come out perfect, light and airy and perfectly browned. The second most important thing for me is that the grids come out and can be cleaned in the dishwasher. The grids do need to be sprayed with oil so the waffles do not stick. The last iron I had, I needed to wipe the grids with paper towels to get rid of the oil, however, not all the oil was absorbed. Eventually, it became rancid. The waffles were horrible! Thus, leading me to purchase a new waffle iron, even though the old one still worked. I do wish there was a beeping alarm when the waffles were done, limiting my constant watch for the light. Overall, this waffle iron is great.

This waffle maker makes delicious waffles that are crispy on the outside and soft inside! Make sure you wait for the steam to stop for the best outcome. Took our gluten free batch about 3 to 3.5 minutes.

So much easier to keep clean! Especially with chocolate chip waffles
