We use the hand openers a majority of the time, but this item securely latches to cans and makes a clean cut. No issues to apeak of.

This is our first electric can opener, so I did some research. My last manual one was a dud, so we figured we'd jump into the big leagues. This one is great. It holds the can and opens it quickly. The only complaint is that it's a little loud, which makes my stealthy, early-morning lunch prep for the kids not so stealthy. Other than that, we love it. I'd buy another if it broke.

I love this can opener! Cans attach easily and the handle/lever depresses so easy which was very important to me because of arthritic hands. Very pleased with this purchase.

I was looking for a can opener for my elderly mom that would (1) open the can without leaving jagged edges in the lid and (2) be easy to operate for someone with arthritis. After I demonstrated how to operate the can opener one time, my mom opens all her cans with ease now. I also like how the can opener is tall to allow oversize cans to be opened.

This product is so freaking amazing. Hamilton Beach SmoothTouch Can Opener opens cans quickly with so much ease. I was shocked how well the can opens & there is no mess left behind. Definitely a must buy.

I bought this as a gift but have used it myself many times. Smooth cuts on the side of the can and no sharp edges to worry about. The top cut off can be used to reseal the can short term for storage overnight in the refrigerator if need be. Not much to complain about. I guess it could be a bit cheaper to be more in line with its competition. Other than that it's a "would buy again" for sure.

We being seniors, it was difficult for us to use the conventional can opener. This was the best purchase we have made just recently. It is so easy now instead of having to bend the lid enough to get the contents out for consumption.

This can opener is by far the best can opener i have ever owned. The only drawback that I can see is due to the fact that the lid is cut on the side, you will not be able to use it for tuna fish cans if you are looking to use the lid to press the tuna and drain it.

This can opener is everything it says it is. It cuts the cans clean, leaves no sharp edges, is easy to use--and I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the cord can be put back inside the back of it so there is no loose cord on the counter when not in use.

Can opener is easy to use, feels very solid and makes smooth cut.

Needed a new SS can opener. This one good price & works great.
