I'm really happy with this choice of electric can opener! It's nice looking and doesn't take up much counter space. I love the fact that it opens cans and leaves a smooth surface - my older opener left a jagged surface and I was always worried about cutting myself. It's a fairly quiet opener - and I'm very satisfied with it.

Very simple hold and press to open. So quiet you don’t even know it is opening the can, until you lift the handle.

Only used it once, but it feels very good quality. Always had a had manual opener and tired of my wife complaining about how difficult it was to use. Bought this and am looking forward to a nicer home environment. I really enjoy the fact that it cuts the lid off in such a way that they not sharp. Actually can be put back on the can for leftovers and stored in the refrigerator. So far so good. I have not always had a best buy close to my home, but I really love being able to place a Best Buy order and drive a couple miles to pick it up in just a hour or so.

Never spent money on buying anything good over the years, constantly spent money on cheap store bought every so many months only to lead more frustration, sore hands and in danger of cutting fingers, best ever INVESTMENT! SUPER EASY!

After so many years of less than expected can openers of every imaginable variety, happy we landed on this one. Looks great, works great, excellent price.

Great product and ease of use. Remember to keep it clean and free of buildup on the blade. Recommend cleaning after each use.

After years of can opening frustration I bought the subject can opener. Before the purchase I owned four manual can openers. Each opened a different type of can. Why cans aren't made the same I don't know. Some cans couldn't be opened with any of the four. Worse still as my joints get stiffer cans are becoming increasingly difficult to open. I wish I bought this electronic can opener years ago. It works like a dream opening all cans without problem.

This is so far great, it opens the can from the sides, that way there is no sharp edges!

I've only used this can opener a few times since I purchased it, but so far so good. It removes the lids easily, and leaves no sharp edges.

I loved my old can opener (same brand), but with a family of 4 to 8 (depending on who was home for how-long), it got a work out. This new one works great. I don't know about the option to open blister pack items, but for cans, it is far better than any other unit. I keep a hand opener for when the power goes out (something that happens on the coast), but this opener IS THE ONLY opener for us.

I bought one of these at Walmart a year ago, then bought it again at Best Buy for cheaper. I like that its really simple to use. It cuts the interior part of the lid. I don't quite understand the science, but my previous can openers would first pierce the lid of a can and cut around it. This is a lot more kid-safe. No rough jagged edges. It is hard to tell when the can has been fully cut - there are not obvious tears in the metal. It looks stylish too.

I have been needing a new can opener for while as my manual can opener was getting weaker. I found this electric can opener and so glad I did! It works perfect! I love how it cuts below the top of the can so it doesn’t cut you and you can put the top back on if you need to. I love how easily it sits up against the opener. You don’t have to struggle to get the cutter in the can.

I love my Hamilton beach electric can opener. It's easy to use and never no sharp edges on the cans you open.

My normal hand can openers kept rusting and honestly I got sick of trying to overpower the things every time I had to open cans. Bought this bad boy, and I’m never going back. I’ve used it to open those super big tomato cans and have never had an issue with it. I believe the locking mechanism can support those heavy cans by itself, but I personally am paranoid and help support those heavy cans lol. Great purchase, 10/10.

We have been looking for a sturdy can opener that was tall enough for bigger cans and this is the one that has worked the best. It is far more durable than the last one we had, and repeated use hasn't led to parts falling off(!) like another brand we had gone with. This was worth the price.
