Weird Smell and taste from pot

Multiple cleanings of pot via instructions provided and still sane issue. Tried various teas and all had the odd taste to them. Will be returning for full refund and stuck to old fashioned kennel on stove.

Top doesn’t fit the lid, basket drops in my tea
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really love how fast water boils, but don’t like 1) basket will drop in the tea when you pull the top out, leaking the tea all in the water, 2) even when you’re able to withdraw the top and basket out together, there’s always tea particles left swimming around in the tea and at the bottom, which completely destroys the tea, 3) the strainer doesn’t do a great job keeping tea particles out of your cup, and 4) if you don’t take the top/basket out right after it has boiled it will automatically reheat the tea, which would be great if more particles wouldn’t seep through and float around in there. I’ve bought three because I don’t buy these at all and wish I knew a good quality brand that will give me a clean cup of tea without loose tea particles in it to start purchasing.
