A total shame since it had great sound quality, solid bass and was too loud for my small apartment. It's also a super heavy, bulky and not water resistant at all so it's mostly an indoor speaker and unless the weather is really nice outside. Also, it doesn't turn itself off and will drain the battery immediately even if it's not being used after a certain amount of time. I suppose this is a plus for some people, but it's not for me. Make sure you get the two year extended warranty if you're going to get this one.

Posted .Thanks for your feedback. Here are some troubleshooting steps that might help isolate the issue with your HK Go + Play. If the power/battery light indicator is OFF, power cycle by pressing and holding the power button for 30 seconds while the unit is not plugged into a power source, to see if the unit will unlock. Next, use another charging cable and power adapter to see if the unit will charge. While it's extremely uncommon, try to use another wall outlet to be certain that the issue is not with the outlet. If the power/battery light indicator is ON, the charger may not be powerful enough to power the unit and charge the battery. Check the adapter and make sure that the rating is 2 amps or higher. The bass sounds even better if you place the back of the speaker near a solid surface or wall so the passive radiator can reflect sound from it.

The first I had for a few years. This player is a step up to the other as they made some excellent improvement in the sound quality. they also added a built in mic as a big bang bonus.
